Excellent food, really good service – Rodrigo is an excellent waiter. We’ve been coming here for over 15 yrs. Good portions and very generous.

The service here was friendly but the place was empty and the food reflected a restaurant with little turn-over. However — we did sit in a lovely garden patio — all by ourselves. Shiraz has at least one other restaurant — which is in Sherman Oaks, ans was packed and better the last time I went. As an appetizer we ordered the crispy rice with two stews — which was good — but freshness is the enemy of both crispy rice and stews — so the weakness of the place did not show here. For our main course we ordered special rice and meat kabobs. I had a cobo filet mignon kabob and lula kabob(ground spiced beef). The lula was a little tasteless and the filet was old and frozen and over cooked and mealy. Sad. The baklava was good — but I am sure that Shiraz got it from a bakery. In a city filled with amazing Persian and Armenian places — how can this one survive?

Such a yummy restaurant. Raffis was closed so we decided to give Shiraz a try and honestly we weren’t disappointed at all. We called literally 20 mins before they were about to close and the lady accommodated to us. Love this place. Def will be coming back.

Not as expected at all for a restaurant with such a good reputation, very bland food, they also need to get shot glasses as they lacked having them.

Shiraz, Glendale has always besen my most favorite Persian restaurant. I’d really been missing their amazing cuisine since I moved away. Visited today after ages, and the food was as delicious as always, but what made the evening special was the amazing and friendly service by Rodrigo. He was ever smiling, efficient, and made our dining experience that much nicer. If you want real, authentic Persian food, Shiraz is your go to place.

Was in the mood for Persian food and was going to try Shiraz or Raffis in Glendale. Both are one mile away, and went with Shiraz because the wait time was less than an hour. We ordered Stuffed Grape Leafs, Tahdig, pickle plate, a Stew, and Koobideh. The food was average. The Tahdig and Stew were below room temperature when it was served, and those two foods need to be the right temp. It’s like getting a mildly warm pasta being served to you for dinner. The stuffed Grape Leaves were okay, but didn’t match the menu description of being filled with ground meat. The best of our order was the Koobideh, or ground meat kabob. That was seasoned well and juicey, the white rice was steamed to be fluffy. Overall food is not bad, it’s not exceptionally good either. If you’re looking for a restaurant experience with decent service and«good» food, would suggest elsewhere.

It was our first time here, This place is one of the best persian restaurant I’ve ever been to: the food was authentic and delicious. We had a mixed starter which included six different dishes. I don’t like humus, however this one was really yummy! For a main dish we had shish kabob and beef soltani, and the meat was super juicy and tasty. Portions were quit generous and affordable. Thank you so much for a welcoming and amazing experience. Last but not least, special Thanks to our waitress Farnoos for her service and putting a beautiful end to our evening!

We hit up Shiraz with my fiancé’s family after visiting Forrest Lawn because we had some of her fam come in from San Diego and wanted to take them somewhere nice. We called and made a reservation for a huge party of like 16 and they were very happy to accommodate. Once we arrived, they had a huge table outside for us with heat lamps incase anyone got cold. I thought it was nice but others wanted to sit inside. We stayed outside. Anyways, the service was good and pretty quick for such a huge party. Also the place was very nice and clean so onto the food: CHICKEN&KHOOBEDEH — my fiancé ordered this and I had a bite. It was decent. Nothing too special or anything that stuck out flavor wise and I also thought the chicken was a little dry. SALMONANDSALAD — I’ve been trying to avoid a lot of carbs so I decided to get all salad instead of rice. The salad was plain but the Salmon was pretty good. Nice and tender with a good seasoning on the fish. I was satisfied. Overall, the meal was okay. Nothing special and I don’t really understand the hype about it because I’ve been to A LOT of Persian restaurants and this one doesn’t really stand out. If the family doesn’t request it then I probably won’t be coming back but I also wouldn’t be opposed to having it if they wanted it. OOO 3 out of 5

Came here after hearing it for so long. Location is close to the Americana At Brand so it’s not bad. Parking is convenient at the back. Service is good. They brought extra bread. Farnoush and Rodriga were helpful. We had the shish kabab which is cooked just right! Ambience is good too. Would like to go back and try the chicken kabob next time.
