Overall a good place to come. The food is good and the back patio is a nice get away!

I honestly don’t know where to begin from, me and my friends walked in and stood for about good five minutes to be seated, at the mean time the employees/workers saw that we were standing and waiting, they didn’t even bother to come and help us get seated. We had to walk to them and ask what table we can sit at, and they responded with«my bad, I didn’t see you.» After that the server just came to the table and asked us what we want to order when we didn’t even get a menu to look at, I had to ask for one. Not only that, I was placing my order for hookah and some appetizers, they said they’re out of chips with salsa and Guacomole how can they be out if they serve food. Last but not least, I was placing my hookah order I have the flavors I wanted and he said we don’t have Starbuzz tobacco but they have it on their menu. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!!!

Great late night hookah spot. Very friendly employees that will go out of your way to make sure you’re satisfied. Great hookah flavor selection and atmosphere. Plenty of parking out front and in back parking structure, reasonable prices and good food!

I’ve been to this place a few times, the first time was okay, after that each time I went was on the low end of average at best. This most recent and definitely last time, we didn’t get a menu or anything for 25 minutes(usual for the place even though it wasn’t that busy) we were served someone else’s hookah and we told the waiter it was the wrong flavor, they figured out who’s hookah it was and we waited another 25 minutes to get our hookah, of course they brought the wrong flavor hookah again! how hard is it not to mess up a mint flavored hookah order. In the mean time half the table was served food and finished eating by time the rest of us were served. By time everyone was finished eating and ready to go we finally got our mint hookah(and asked for the check). We get the check and noticed the prices were off from the menu(not to mention they charged us for the hookah they literally just brought out), when confronted the waiter told us the menus were old and their prices changed, I asked how they could ask us to pay more than the displayed prices and he rudely offered to change the receipt on the condition that he would NOT serve us next time. After all that horrible service and microwaved food, they lost 5 customers over a few dollars. I would caution anyone considering going here to save your money.

There is NOTHING Royal about the Royal vanak. From the rude service to the microwaved food and the mediocre hookah, the experience was a waste of an evening out. Don’t bother coming here unless you want to feel like a fool and pay outrageous prices with an outrageous gratuity fee.

Terrible service. You might have to wait 15 minutes to be seated when there are open tables and another 25 to get a menu. Our waiter(Maziar) brought us the wrong hookah multiple times(first brought another tables hookah then brought us the wrong flavor), was extremely inattentive the entire night, charged a different price than what was on the menu, had the audacity to say«I won’t serve you next time» when we confronted him about the service and found it appropriate to talk about our table with his coworkers right in front of us. He won’t be serving us because we won’t be going there anymore. If you change your prices you should at least let your customers know. Perhaps an introduction in customer service would be of help. Spare yourselves and go somewhere else.

Absolutely terrible. Will not be returning again. Came here in the evening for some finger food and hookah with my girlfriend and friends and it took them well over 10 minutes to acknowledge our presence. After being seated it took 15 more minutes for someone to come to our table. After we ordered the food came out at random intervals so we each ended up eating at different times. We were given the wrong hookah(it was meant for the table next to ours), after confirming it was incorrect they left it for us to smoke then came by a few minutes later and took it to the next table. They then brought us out our second hookah(also incorrect) and walked away, third time was the charm and they finally got it correct, though it took 30 minutes for them to bring it out after the two mistakes. The excuse was that they didn’t have any more mint hookahs to use. Why not use the one that you took back and change the head? When we asked for our check everything was more expensive than the listed menu prices. When we asked about the discrepancy we were told that the new menus had not arrived and everything was more expensive. I don’t mind paying what they had asked us to but at least list it or let the table know. When we asked our waiter(Maziar) he said that it is what it is. After all of this nonsense we asked for the proper price adjustment(which any self respecting business would do to keep the customer) he gave us an attitude. He then told us that if he adjusts the price that we would not be served if we were to come back(gladly I will never be returning) All in all if I could give negative stars I would. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for years I have never seen customers treated as badly. Maziar also had the audacity to talk poorly about our table to other staff right in front of us. I had frequented this place for some time now but time to find a new place for hookah. –3 stars!

This place is always consistent with their food and service. Simply Excellent! Prices are reasonable and food is great tasting. Their chicken kabob is delicious and worth every penny. I would certainly recommend paying Royal Vanak a visit soon.

The kebab had little flavor. The service was slow. They were not busy! Considering the other Iranian restaurants in the area you think this place would care. Avoid this place.

The Persian style breakfast is fantastic. The owner is very nice and welcoming. Nimrod and omelet served in rustic dishes. Khaleh Pacheco is the best I had in LA. Hot fresh barbari bread is served with good tea. Prices are reasonable. The only minus is the decoration.

Came here for lunch on Monday! It’s a great place to grab a quick meal. I got the chciken barg and my friend got the beef lule. The portions were great. The beef was better then the chciken. Chciken was a bit dry. Service is great. I defintely recommend to try it out.

There’s so many great things to say about this place I don’t even know where to start! Jk, I know exactly where to start… with their food! My favs: Chicken barg Yogurt & shallot or yogurt & cucumber Hummus Beef koobideh HOOKA :) Korma sabZ(don’t laugh at my spelling lol) Other than their amazing food selections, service is there is great. It’s family owned so the environment is very welcoming and it kinda feels like your having a home cooked meal. They also have hooka and very tasty flavors! Highly recommend this place!

No vegetarian option, just kashke bademjan and hummus. For the ones that are sensitive to smoke, it is not a good option. You can smell the hooka!

Great food, if you like Persian food this is the place to be. Their Barg kebob is my fav. You can order half rice half salad, or spice it up with hummus. Try the salad Shirazi. Yum

I love this place. We ran across it looking for a place to drink, eat, and smoke… and there is was. I even tried the hooka — which was really fun. The serivice is great as is the food. Come here if you smoke. Come here even if you don’t smoke. It’s a good little joint — and always full.
