A hidden gem within Montrose. We have dined in and ordered pick-up several times from them. Highlights are the beef and chicken soltani, baba ganoush, and the salmon platter. Even our two year old daughter loves their dishes, and she claps her hands when we bring their food home. Dining atmosphere at the restaurant is warm, intimate, and welcoming. Staff are friendly and helpful. We just wish more people knew about Montrose wine and Kabob.

It’s now under new management and is an Italian restaurant below is my review of that Italian restaurant days after opening… Just returned home from a wonderful dinning experience at the opening of a friends Italian Restaurant in Montrose. It’s rare that I’m this impressed by a mid priced restaurant meal, and yes the owner, Falsto, is a friend and neighbor, but wow… very well done. It’s brand new so no Unilocal yet… or fb or website. … just homemade style, simple a la cart Italian dinning. When the weather permits ask about the patio terrace that overlooks the conner of Oceanview and Broadview. With views of the hills and neighborhood below it’s sure to impress.. tell the maitre d, a friendly man named Antonio, that«handyman Mitch sent ya».(I helped getting things to match Falsto’ vision) Penny and I expecially liked the large cheese wheel where they just carved out a chunk with a knife and treated you with artisan parmesan. We’re going back next weekend for sure. It’s now OUR place to dine out. Amore

Montrose Wine and Kabob is hands down the best middle eastern food I have had. This is my second visit and the food is consistently superb! What we had for lunch : Crudités with yogurt dip — On the house. Love the dip. So refreshing and creamy. Baba ganoush(eggplant dip) for cold appetizer — Highly recommend Sautéed broccoli for hot appetizer — Came with a really nice lemon dressing Lentil soup Vegetarian sandwich — Highly recommend! One of the best sandwiches I have had! It was made panini style and was fully loaded with vegetables like artichoke, bell pepper, olives. I have had the Mezze before and remember it being very good. Our order came to 20 $ which is a steal! Also, the owner is very friendly!!! He was giving out toys to all the little ones in the restaurant that day. The place is great for a casual date and big groups but it is not really upscale. I will definitely be back for the amazing food!!!

Very happy I found this place! I order lunch here to go and had a great experience. I ordered the beef luleh plate with veggies. I also added an addition chicken luleh($ 5 add on) The beef luleh was great. I preferred the beef over the chicken luleh. The portions are a lot and it was nice to get a variety of veggies(Brussels sprouts, broccoli, mushrooms, carrots and squash!) The plate also comes with a side of salad! Must try if you are in the area.

Outstanding place! Absolutely delicious. Complimentary crudite and crackers with yogurt dip, hummus, chicken, salmon, rice, grilled veggies and a lovely bottle of Pinot Noir, all for $ 56. Everything cooked to perfection. Perfect service and a lovely patio table. Will definitely be going back. A true hidden gem.

This is our favorite! Amazingly clean. The balcony is delightful. The food is consistently perfectly spiced and perfectly cooked. We love the beef and chicken breast kabobs and flatbread pizzas. Tiramisu for desert. The Shirazi salad is always wonderfly fresh. Wine is good and reasonably priced.

Went here on my first night ever being in Montrose and this place definitely was different in a positive way. I have never tried metteraian food before and this place left a good taste in my mouth. only get 5 stars because Customer Service could’ve been better.

This place is hidden in an ocean view plaza. It took us awhile to find it. It was our first time dine in a kabob place. The service was great. The lady explained everything about the menu. Everything sound great to me. We ordered one chicken luleh and beef soltani. The chicken was pretty hard and not impressive. The beef was just so so but better than the chicken. Maybe I’m not used too this kind of food. But if you ask me I don’t think it’s worth the price. However, their complimentary appetizer was really good and that’s how I gave them three stars.

The beef luleh, chicken soltani, beef kabob were ordered at our table. Each plate came with rice or grilled vegetables. The chicken plate looked great(I think saffron is used) — I will try this next time. I ordered the beef luleh and was content with quality and taste. I have lived in the area for some time and never knew this restaurant existed since its hidden in a small strip mall. So glad to have found this restaurant and will visit often!

The food is incredible here. The Cornish hen really blew me away. The kabob Barg was so soft and tender I am impressed! This place knows what they are doing!

By far my favorite Kabob place. Their luleh kabob is delicious and the veggie pizza is so perfectly light and crispy.

Last night we had our dinner here. The moment we walked in they greet us with smiley faces and we sat right away. They have an outside seating area but it was full so we sat inside by the window. Everything thing looked so clean and well orginezed. First of all before we ordered anything the waitress brought everybody water and veggie plate with yogurt dip and pita chips. For appetizer we ordered the dip platter every single item was soooo good I was afraid thet o won’t be able to finish my main dish. But no I also finished my beef lula kebob because it’s soooo good you can’t resist we had their house cabaret which was good but I am not and wine expert so my judgment can be wrong Oh BTW because my sister in-lawa are regular the owner sent us a nice salad and before we leave and he checked if everyone was satisfied. If you wanna eat healthy delicious food with great service you should come once and than you will become a regular as well.

Popped in for the first time mid-afternoon, completely exhausted and depleted from Christmas activities and donating blood the day before, and craving a kabob. Time to go Paleo. And had to have some wine, too, of course.(I didn’t want to be rude: it’s in the name of the place, after all.) Wine: 5⁄5. House Cabernet Sauvignon was excellent. I’ve become used to «higher-end» restaurants that offer about two ounces of wine for $ 14. This was a most generous pour of a perfectly fine wine for FIVEBUCKS. Hello!!! Appetizers: 4.5÷5. A free dish of perfectly crisp vegetables welcomed me, accompanied by a very nice dip(dill?). Kabob: 4⁄5. Gigantic portion accompanied by rice and grilled vegetables. The kabob itself(grilled flap meat) was a bit fatty. The flavor was fine. Plenty to take home for later. Service: 5⁄5. Very nice service, perfect balance of attention and leaving alone. Parking: lots of parking in the lot. The lunch special looks amazing!

I loved the décor. A great place to take a date for a romantic dinner. However, I could smell a slight cigarette smell. I think it was coming from the outside patio. Armenian Salad-It was very delicious! It had fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, red onions, basil, and romaine lettuce. It was seasoned with lemon juice, olive oil, and red wine vinegar. Chicken Soltani– Charbroiled marinated chicken and Lula kabob(ground chicken) I loved the Lula Kabob. It was seasoned well and very tasty. The Charbroiled chicken was slightly chewy. But still had a great flavor. Steamed Rice with Saffron-Sheer perfection. The rice was so good! Service– Great Parking-Shared parking lot with other business.

Okay, talk about AMAZING customer service. I have to stress how kindly we were treated by the hostess/server. She was very attentive during our visit here. They have a neat feature on the tables where you can ask for service with a press of a button. Moving onto their food, it was great. I recommend getting the dip platter to share with your group. They are in good portions and you will have plenty to take home. They also come with complimentary veggies. The jalapeño yogurt dip was my favorite because I haven’t had anything like it! My mother and I shared the chicken soltani dish, which came with a chicken luleh and chicken thigh pieces. The luleh was mouthwatering and very flavorful. The rice was also warm and soft. We paired our meals with a Cab and Merlot, and we were good to go!

Hard to find this Middle Eastern/Persian/Armenian restaurant that is hidden on the top floor of a nondescript shopping mall. Montrose Wine & Kabobs is a nice little bistro, spartan but yet quietly stylish. Not a place for large groups, but if the tables are reconfigured, 12 or so could eat together if prior arrangements are made beforehand. We were bar hopping from Basin 141 to Wine Cave, and now MW&K where we planned to dine lightly. We ordered the Pear & Red Beet salad. Besides the ripe Bosc Pear & Red Beet slices which had softened, mild tasting, creamy Chevre, there was a pile of mixed greens dressed with an aged Aceto Balsamico, and candied Walnuts. This salad was excellent in that different textures, sweet grapey acidity, lightly gamey creaminess, full ripeness of the Bosc pear came together creating a new synergy of flavour. Also ordered the grilled lamb chops, Basmati rice with a streak of yellow saffron, seared tomato & onion. The lamb was slightly charred & caramelized, and the meat was firm but moist. I put some Somagh(powdered Sumac fruit originating in Iran) which has a sweet, sour, dill pickle flavour profle. Somagh has a touch of a gastrique which ups the flavours of the lamb. All the above was paired with their house Cabernet Sauvignon by the glass. It’s jammy, full of dark berries, with mellow tannins & acidity. Nothing fancy but, it was a good mating for the salad with aceto balsamico as well as for the lamb and cutting some of the meatiness. Service is efficient, and fast. Laconic and tendency not to be prolix seems to be the norm at this good Middle Eastern with multi-cultural influences. Definitely 3+ Unilocal stars.

First you have to get there, so let me save you a couple puzzling minutes … it’s on the intersection’s NE corner, UPSTAIRS, and parking is abundant with an underground shaded location or general large city parking lot in the back. We just took the elevator up and found it. Our waitress Tina was nice and provided good service, but they only had one other table to handle during the time we were there, which is too bad because she deserved more in tips. I have no clue why we both ordered a Banana-Berry Smoothie, but it was my friend’s birthday, drinking that was sort of fun, and we were both silent while we slurped it up. The hummus … although made fresh to order, it needs more garlic, lemon and sumac. We shared a salad plate of delicious roasted beets, pear, balsamic reduction and candied nuts. The pizza was a nice surprise and only needed a little salt and pepper — and it looked incredibly fresh and pretty :) We ordered the Sultani(combo) plate … the flap steak was extremely tender, and the Lula was nicely spiced. As to ending the meal with Baklava, well, any meal that ends that way is a good thing, don’t you think?

Off the beaten downtown path of Montrose, this place is definitely worth a try. The two times we’ve been there have both been good experiences. The staff is friendly and the food is pretty outstanding. The jalapeño yogurt was their first offering and I know why. You will never go and not order it. Amazing. We’ve stayed pretty safe with the chicken kabob plate and I don’t see a need for trying anything else. Ask for some lavash bread with the plate. Take a piece of chicken, slather it up with jalapeño yogurt, and top with rice, grilled tomato, and grilled onion. It’s my new favorite finger food. 8 dollars for the lunch special kabob plate, 4 dollars for the yogurt, and you have the perfect lunch for two. 5 dollar draft Peroni beer is also wonderful.
