I really love all the location but the one inside Americana is definitely my favorite. I recommend this place for breakfast. It’s very healthy and the meals are nice and filling. I always get the goat cheese and mushrooms omelette. It’s delicious, I can seriously eat the whole thing. They also have there own types of spreads which is sooo so good. It is a little bit pricey but still very tasty.

This review is directed to the Female Manager on 1÷31÷16 at 11am please stop being racist towards Latinos. I have been coming to this place for years and never have been discriminated against because of my race until today. When I spoke to this individual when I first arrived I had to tell her more than once that my family came in second and she kept asking the family that came after us that was«non-Latino» if that was true. I should have seen it coming after that conversation but since I have never been discriminated I had no idea that it would go this far. I sincerely hope the owners of this restaurant have a conversation with her and ask her to go by her seating list and not by race.

This is one of the more beautifully decorated places which makes a difference for atmosphere when you eat. Ordered the lentil salad which was delicious and fresh although a little pricey. The split pea soup was okay, could have used more flavor. Jasmine tea was delicious. Come here if you’re feeling soup and salad and bread. Park in the parking garages, they are free.

I REALLY liked their crispy quinoa cake. Can’t comment on any other menu item, since it was my very first time here, but this. d e l i c i o u s. The coffee, however, was disappointing. My cappuccino wasn’t foamy and whatever foam it had fell down while I was waiting for my food. They sure do need new cups as well. You can see the disaster of the mug situation at the attached picture, besides, they don’t have handles and are pretty tiny. Good customer service compensated the problem though. Also, they have a cookie butter jar(!) on each table along with a couple of jams. Nice interior, good view from the window, very cozy place overall

This is one of my favorite places to get a tea or pastry before work. Dave is very friendly and helpful. He suggested to add hazelnut to my hot chocolate one day and it is now the only way I can drink it. He also is awesome at telling me how different pastries are. Its always a joy to see him even if I’m just waking by, along with the others, but most my interactions are with Dave.

Le Pain has become a favorite spot of mine, the coffee and organic breakfast options simply can’t be beat! The staff at this location is always very kind, attentive and quick – I’ve had great experiences with Dave, who is always very friendly and remembers my usual breakfast order! All around great!

This is a brand new review. I’ve been coming here since it opened but boy the quality had gone down hill. Today the coffee arrived Luke warm, tasted like folgers and got cold fast. I asked for more water and didn’t get it till the bill arrived in a warm carafe with warm water. The soft boiled eggs were over cooked and the rye bread is wheat bread, not rye. The food took much longer to arrive and outside of soft boiled eggs nothing was being. Cooked. Just overall a bad experience. I wish it would pull itself together.

I utterly love the Red eye or Americano here! Dave is the most friendliest and knowledgeable barista there. I always ask him for suggestions on whether it be pastries or meals and he is always on point. When I come in he always knows what I’m looking for. Thanks Dave you are awesome!

Love this place. The environment is friendly. Their food is flavorful & they have all sorts of different stuff! Its also healthy, which is the best part! Their lattés are great as well! I always get the Hazelnut one & i love it! The only thing im not too happy about is one of the workers who isn’t so helpful. He seems to get annoyed when you ask questions. But other than that, this place is great!

I usually don’t write bad reviews, but La Pain well-deserves this one. Never did I have such an unpleasant restaurant experience. We walked in for a brunch Saturday morning two weeks ago. I asked to be seated inside, bc it was very cold. very poorly groomed greeter tried to sit us down l, but a server walked briskly passed us and mumbled the hall way cannot be blocked. we did have a bulky stroller, and the restaurant was small so I understood. but What annoyed me was that, no apologies or smile was given our way, we were just led back out to the patio(they have mo heater btw). we had to sit there, waiting and wandering for a quite sometime when our server will notice us. this took awhile. we were later served by man who kept on referring to us as «you guys.» From here, couple of other things started to annoy. me. one, I wanted to switch my tartine wheat bread to a baguette, when I asked, our server raised his eyebrows. Raised his eyebrows! like I asked for the most ridiculous thing in the world. «we don’t do tartine on baguette, only on wheat». I don’t mind being told no. what annoyed me was not their unwillingness to customize, what annoyed me was the server’s weirded-out face. sure, go ahead and embarrass your customer for just asking. two, «You guys, sorry we don’t have apple tart today.» he said, 10 minute after we ordered our meal. okay… no apologies. plus, our other order also took very long time. three, when he finally brought out our food, he asked if we needed anything else, so I asked for a mint tea bc it was butt-freezing w no heater outside. It never came. no one checked up on us although I constantly looked around to get attention. as we were finishing up our meal, he came up calling us «you guys» to tell us the tea was on it’s way. oh, on it’s way? do you grow your own mint leaves? i cancelled the order and asked for a check. four, by this time, the server seemed to know we were irritated and were ready to leave. we signed the check, left him tip(We always leave tip no matter what). We curtly walked out passing by him. He saw us leave, and didn’t even acknowledge our leaving. Probably bc he could see how disappointed we were. No matter how angry your customers look, you ALWAYS say good bye even if you don’t want to apologize for your terrible, terrible service. we walked right passed him, and not even a nod was given. so much for«you guys». How disrespectful. Throughout the entire dining experience, not one person smiled our way– way to go, servers. It was the most terrible hospitality management ever. you may have good quality food, but food isn’t the only reason people come to eat. customers are paying for a pleasant experience. Don’t ruin ours. I hope you pay attention to your poor Unilocal reviews, including mine.

Summary: I love the food here — but the service is always horrible. Maybe sit inside so you can find your server more easily. The avocado toast is my fave — I have also gotten salads and quiche before too and enjoyed them all. They also have cute and delicious chocolate tarts. And decent coffee and sometimes specialty beverages that are fun. If I am wandering the Americana on a weekend afternoon, I am very likely going to have brunch here. If you go in prepared for the absentee service, you won’t be disappointed once you get your ago toast! Staff is friendly, but no matter how nice the server, EVERY time I go here — the wait for service is loooooong. Just a heads up — but don’t rule it out when you just need a yummy meal with some healthier options, too. Prices are not cheap, but reasonable for the Americana. You can spend $ 10 – 20 on your meal depending on your choices and your drink.

You gotta know what to order here. Not everything is amazing and not everything is bad. Their salads are just ok for me — nothing amazing, nothing terrible. Favourite is the avocado tartine — can’t go wrong with that! I’ve tried the other tartines and they are ok. I also like their quinoa crispy cake — it’s really delicious and healthy. Their soups are really good too — especially gazpacho! YUM Their spreads — hazelnut, dark chocolate are really good — better than Nutella actually, so pick up a jar on the way out!

Ordered two lattes and a tiramisu. The lattes were fine, nothing super special. The tiramisu was disappointing. It was small and tasted just like a frozen can of evaporated milk. Would not purchase that again. Might go back if happened to be in the area. The atmosphere is very nice though.

if it weren’t for Le Pain being at the Americana, I would be at a huge loss. it’s a relief to find quality meals, organic baked goods and coffee here. their front counter makes it easy for take out items, but my will power is always on guard with their bountiful display of Belgian spreads, jams, cookies and chocolates. i usually get a CHIASEEDMUFFIN and a MOCHA(they use belgian chocolate of course, such a luxury!). the muffin is always moist inside, with a nice crust on the outside, topped with tons of chia seed. it has a good amount of banana, but not enough to make it a banana muffin. super good! when it’s organic and has chia, you can’t feel too guilty. the mocha is just dreamy. it’s my favorite mocha in Glendale, especially during the holidays. on occasion i’ve also had their SOUPOFTHEDAY. on one particular day it was SPLITPEA. warm and nourishing, served with a very thick slice of bread. i also really enjoy their PISTACHIOTART and BELGIANBROWNIES. the pistachio tart is dense and tender with a ton of nuts. the brownie… love the airyness of it. it’s not too dense nor too sweet. it has a light and fluffy texture, yet a very distinctly rich in chocolate flavor. a refreshing alternative to the fudgy or chewy brownies we’re more accustomed to. another favorite item here is their CHOCOLATECHIPCOOKIE. sounds so ordinary, but not at all in size. it’s as big as your FACE! but has all the facets that make a chocolate chippie really good… crisp on the edges, semi-sweet chips and a generous dose of vanilla. it’s the equivalent of 4 regular cookies, and easily shareable. dining here for lunch has been delicious. I’ve had their QUICHE and SMOKEDSALMONTARTINE. everything is French countryside inspired and the presentation is so charming. the rustic ambiance is definitely a comfort to our jaded city life. the only thing i’d change about this Le Pain, as well as the others which i’ve been to is the customer service. it could use a bit more happy and friendly, and just simply attentiveness in general. presentation and ambiance is always clean and gotta love that Euro vibe.

Awesome place! Tons of healthy options: organic, non dairy, vegetarian, etc. But a lot of organic options! Their omelettes are aaaamazing! So yummy and came with a healthy salad with a light dressing. The food tastes really good quality! I also got their Belgian chocolate, which is legit melted chocolate which you pour into the frothhed milk. So good and rich! I went here with my bro and he got a omelette that he absolutely loved as well! He said their coffee was really good too! His new coffee spot he said :-) I highly recommend!

Nice little spot in The Americana for a light breakfast/lunch/brunch! The avocado toast is my favorite here. It’s topped with tomatoes, chia seeds, and cumin salt. The salt could be heavy at times but gives the dish a tangy bite.

I really do love me some Le Pain Quotidien once in a while. The Americana location in Glendale has a large outdoor space and a pretty nicely sized indoor seating area. I always, always order the same things here because they never fail to hit the spot. 1) A cup of gazpacho, 2) the chicken Cobb salad(hold the bacon), and 3) a bottle of Pellegrino. Yuuuum. The gazpacho is the best I have ever had and I’m so glad it now looks like a staple menu item as in the past, it would be served as a daily special. It has a nice amount of heat and tanginess. I love the mangos on top and the drops of basil oil. AMAZING. The Cobb salad is healthy and full of goodies. It is pretty traditional except the cheese is sooo much better than your typical bleu cheese. It is a French variety. The tea-based dressing knocks it out of the park. They now have hot grilled sandwiches, too. My mom got the grilled ham sandwich which she really enjoyed. She doesn’t like sour dressings and our waitress very kindly offered us some fresh pesto to eat with her salad. Strange but I’m glad she thought of an alternative for us. And my mom loved her coffee. It came in a large bowl.

Okay okay. I take back my 3 star review from the DtLA location which I had an item to go. I was getting my car serviced and needs a place to have breakfast and listen in on a conference call via cell. Le Pain Quotidien is a lot about the service and décor. You get the feeling of being at a café in Paris here. The pastries here are good, not great. I ordered a toasted Paris ham & gruyère croissant served with a side salad and a trio of mustards on the side. This was pretty good. Love that it came with 3 types of mustard that gave it something different each bite. The coffee here is also good. medium roast served with a personal porcelain pot. On every table there’s a large jar of Belgian Speculoos and housemade preserves. I was on an hour conference call and even with the ham sandwich, I wanted something else to eat. I decided to order a croissant which I requested to be toasted, however, the waitress indicated they didn’t go that with a croissants a la cart. Kinda lame but it was still good smacking ample Speculoos and preserves. About $ 18 with tip all in all. A bit pricey for the amount of food but didn’t break the bank. Overall, good food, good service(minus not toasting), and nice décor.

Service is terrible… it took forever for them to take our order, bring us straws, bring us the food, etc. I’m not sure why they took so long to put some prosciutto on bread! The mint lemonade is very sour and besides the fact that there is a few sprigs of mint in there, you can’t taste it at all. They need to blend the mint with the lemonade or at least break up the leaves and let it sit for awhile. The grilled chicken Cobb salad was not bad, ingredients are fresh and I liked the different flavors and textures. The organic bread was ok, a little hard, would have been better slightly grilled. I don’t usually mind paying $ 15 for a salad, but it felt expensive for the service and overall atmosphere.
