Gross! Eating here at the moment. I ordered two chicken tacos with salsa and cilantro and onion. Watery and disgusting and the diet Pepsi tastes like soap. Go to the Taco Zone truck at night in Echo Park if you want some real tacos.

The food here is gross… I can’t complain about the customer service or establishment itself. But the food is nasty, and I love Mexican food. Taqueria el Tapatio is way better, and their food doesn’t make you feel disgusting afterwards. (And no I don’t work for them or was paid to say that. honestly, they’re just better.)

I’ve fallen in LOVE with their tamales. I used to go to other King Taco restuarants so many time to get their Al Pastor tacos, which were my top favorite food about a few years ago. My first visit to this King Taco in Glendale was about a few days ago and it was my first time to try their tamales. Whenever I go there, they always ran out of some kinds of tamales that I wanted to try. Many seats are available and there is no long wait.

Now everybody knows king taco… This location is great because there are two large dining sections with plenty of room. The food in my opinion is always consistently pretty good. I always have their asada tacos. The service is fast and the staff is friendly. My only complaint is the fact that they do not serve lemons or limes… What kind of Mexican food establishment doesn’t serve limes or lemons? To me, that’s extremely important. Nothing against el pollo loco but even they provide lime with their steak tacos. What a disappointment. All bad king taco. Get it together. I hope this changes soon.

Tacos 1. Suadero 2. Al Pastor 3. Carnitas. Suadero was amazing. I would be happy getting two of them. Al pastor was good. Carnitas was lacking a little bit, but not sure what. My Carne Asada from another king taco was dry and disappointing but I think I should try it once more.

Wa-waa-waaaaa. What a disappointment. Dry, DRY tacos. Tasteless. Calling it mediocre is a compliment. Not expensive, but for what you get, it actually is expensive. I’d rather pick up something off a food truck/lunch truck or even Taco Bell, which actually has some flavor. Plus, a hassle to park(in the structure), and pretty crowded. The only plus side is that the service was fairly friendly and the location itself is large, so there’s plenty of seating. Unfortunately, the bathrooms were locked and no one seemed to care that people need to/want to use the restroom. Also heard the security guard dissing Armenians because, yes, I speak Spanish. Not cool, Mr. Guard, I’m Armenian and I’m not a criminal. Thanks for the side of racism with dinner. Will never be back.

So this is all based on my one experience eating here. I ordered a carne asada burrito and was pumped to eat it. First bite and it was great. Lots of flavor and not too much tortilla. Two bites in and my mouth is on fire. But I can’t admit that and look weak in front of my friends. Keep eating. They’ll never know… Half way in. HOLYSHITIMBREATHINGFIRE. By this point I’m sweating, my nose is running and and my tongue is literally burning. My friends think I’m over reacting so I made them try and one bite in and they realized what I’m going through. Hell. Burrito tasted awesome from what I could taste before I could only taste the fire my pits of a volcano in my mouth. Tl;dr don’t order the carne burrito unless you wanna eat liquid fire.

I love king taco I usually get there all meat asada burrito and add cabbage if I’m feeling fancy. I’ve also tried chicken tacos, chicken tamales and the asada sopes. All are pretty good but the thing that really gets me coming back is the red sauce. The red sauce isn’t for chumps so if you’re a chump opt out! The only thing is they skimp you on giving you sauce. It’s like sheesh I just spent $ 20 and I can only get 4 sauce containers. Every Time I come the sauce is a different price. They either tell me it’s 75 cents, 60 cents or 50 cents. Stay consistent! It sounds like you’re just trying to get over on me sheesh! So just for that alone I’m docking a star off. All in all good fast food. I’ll come back in hopes they stop being stingy with the red sauce.

So sad to be writing this review, especially because so many people told me about this place. I went there for the first time today and ordered two chicken tacos and an order of chips and guacamole. Unfortunately, the tacos tasted pretty bland and the chicken was chewy… I’m not sure what cuts of chicken were being used but they weren’t identifiable. The chips were the standard yellow corn tortilla chips you can buy at the store and the guacamole was just okay. I threw the tacos away after about two bites, and the chips went to the trash soon after. However, i’m determined to give King Taco another chance, and judging from the other reviews i’ll think i’ll try the carne asada next time.

Pretty good! :) I had three lengua tacos with a cheese quesadilla. I demolished them all with the mild green sauce and the avocado? Sauce! The place was clean and I got the food to go pretty fast.

Really bad food. Dirty space. Unprofessional staff. Low portion. Bad quality. Go to chipotle. Don’t waste your time on this place!

I already wrote my 5 star review on this place and I stand status quo. I love King Taco!!! Their red sauce is pretty addicting along with everything else they serve here.

They finally opened one in Glendale so I had to stop by. This location has a lot of space and seating compared to the other locations. Ultimately, King Taco is King Taco. 1. The sopes are epic. 2. The green and red salsas are both so good I usually mix the two. 3. The nachos are worth it. 4. Then down it with an ice cold large horchata.

Ok people — calm down. There is no reason to give king taco a 1 or 2 star review. This is simple quality Mexican food. They don’t have an expansive menu, but what they do they do really well. The tamale has a nice masa and very flavorful fillings The Flautas are nice, yummy and presented well. The tacos are great too! Gotta give it up to king taco’s chicken it is moist and flavorful. The salsas are nice — very spicy! Be nice to the king kids, be nice to the king!

Hallelujah. Finally a KINGTACO that’s even closer to me. Well this location is brand spankin new and has a line of people pretty much at all hours of the day. I went there at 10pm Sunday and people just kept rolling in. They are open until MIDNIGHT sun-thurs and open till 2AM fri-sat The location has a lot of seating and the line moves pretty quickly. Now for the menu, you can find tacos, burritos, chicken flautas, quesadillas, sopes, nachos and tamales. They don’t have breakfast, rotisserie chicken, menudo/pozole, tostadas, and the combo plates like some other locations. BUTREGARDLESS. Everything was delicious as always and the guy making my tacos put a large helping of meat on them Yay I’m stuffed! If you are like me, you love king taco and never know what to order because everything there tastes great. You can pretty much never go wrong.

I’ve always heard about this place from my co-workers, but I was also always too lazy to drive out to Pasadena for tacos. Luckily, they decided to open up a King Taco in Glendale! The first thing you notice when you enter King Taco is the menu. It’s simple. They have tacos, burritos, tortas, and tamales. I don’t remember the exact price, but the tacos and the tamales are only $ 1.50 each. I ordered 3 tacos(al pastor, carne asada, and lengua) and 1 tamale(jalapeño and cheese). My receipt came out to like $ 6.50! Crazy cheap. Each taco was delicious. The lengua is actually really soft(I was expecting it to be chewy) but it was still cooked well. I’d definitely want to go back and try out all the other meats. The tamale was amazing too. Jalapeño and cheese is the way to go. I’d order it again. I did notice that the tacos are pretty small, but I was full by the end of the meal. King Taco is now my go-to lunch spot when I need something cheap, delicious, and filling!

Glad to see this location finally open. Seeing the coming soon sign for months, it seemed, was like a big tease. This King Taco is spacious and clean. Let’s all hope it stays that way. Located at Broadway and Maryland in the long-time Fortune Inn space. Parking is either on the street(scarce) or at the Exchange parking structure. Having had King Taco at several locations in the past, I kinda had my own expectations on taste and quality but unfortunately the Glendale one did not meet it. I ordered a carne asada burrito and a quesadilla with carne asada. The burrito was wrapped kind of flimsily. Found that to be surprising. It didnt hold together well and one side had the tortilla kind of folding over itself making for all flour tortilla bites. Not good. The meat seemed to be over-seasoned with lemon. Didnt like that either as it stood out and dominated all the other flavors. The rice inside was ok, It came with onions and a little bit of cilantro even though I asked for NOCILANTRO. The quesadilla was ok. The queso was bland and the asada was way too rich in lemon flavor again. I’m gonna chalk it up to the learning curve having been only in its first week of business. I’ll probably try it again but not for a while. Hope its better on that visit. It would be great to have a late-night mexican brick & mortar spot in Glendale.
