This market had the potential to be a 5 star market, but management made it a 1 star experience for me. The product selection was great, and had everything I wanted except for a gallon of water. When I went to pay, things suddenly turned very bad. Checkout was disorganized and I was cut in front of twice by agressive shoppers before I was helped due to lack of clear lines. Then, at the check out, I noticed some blackberries that were clearly marked $ 2.99 on the larger crate they were in were rung up at $ 4.99. I did not complain or speak up, as many of the products were not labeled and I might have misjudged what the cashier was ringing up at that moment. Many of the products did not have prices and I gave the cashier the benefit of the doubt. I asked the price of two 1 liter water bottles. The cashier informed me they were $ 2. I asked each or for both, and got a very bizarre response, like ‘they are normally $ 2, I give you them for $ 1.50.’ After informing her I did not want them, she told me they would be $ 1 each. Is this a flea market or outdoor bazzar where we are haggling on prices??? Dishonest management makes me question other things about them, and I will never come here again. I went down the road to the Vons for my one gallon of water for $ 1.19 instead. I know I could have been more agressive on the line cutting and overcharging, but I am looking for friendly honest experience, not to be on the defensive during my shopping experience.

This place is a gem. It’s small but immensely packed with the spices, pita breads, oils, and other delicacies that are not available to the usual grocery stores. They just about closed, and really early too, due to rearrangement but the lady owner was kind and helped me get the items right away. I would have to go back here whenever I’m around the area.

What great, small Persian grocery store. Will never again have to drive all the way across the Valley to get what I need. Extremely well stocked for a small store.

One stop market for all your grocery needs. Quality of their fruits and vegetables are fresh and delicious. They have everything you need. The prices are cheap compared to other markets. The workers are very helpful and knowledgable. If you see anything that doesn’t look fresh don’t hesitate to ask the workers to get it for you from their storage fridge. Also if you love tomatoes ask for their dashti pamidor which ia only out during this season and its mouthwatering.

This place has the freshest produce at prices you couldn’t find any where else. Whole food quality for at least half the price. My family has been shopping from them since 1994. Great customer service. Great people. Must check out their produce. I have never seen persian cucumbers anywhere like the ones they have. Amazing. Even with returns i dont even have to take the product back if for any reason it did not turn out to be what i expected, i just let them know the next time around and they refund me in full no questions asked. As long as the owners dont change i honestly would not shop anywhere else for produce.

This is my local grocer. Been going there the past 4 years and love their fresh produce! I buy fresh fruits and produce, pita breads, middle eastern cheese from there, along with ready doughs for traditional cuisine baking. They also have many household items(not the best brands) and I don’t recommend them, but if you’re too busy to go to Ralph’s then at least they have it available and convenient. Tip: If you love fresh mint or basil, and you see them wilted, don’t despair, ask them for fresh ones and they will bring you some from the back! Also, depending on who you get at the cashier stand, you may have a nice experience or a dismissive one. Stay Calm and Move On, it’s not personal. It’s a good service and great produce!

The owner and employees are very helpful and I get great customer service! And so many more selections of nuts at. A lower price then Whole Foods you got to go check it out!

I found this market while waiting for a colleague. Golden Market has a wide selection of grocery items, including meat and produce. I picked up avocado oil, which is a rare find.

3.5 Stars. The prices for fresh produce are out of this world. Their tomatoes, especially, are faaaaaaaantastic! They’ve got those fab, small Iranian cucumbers(nice and firm), and a whole bunch of fruits that are very reasonably priced, too. Folks are nice, though you have to wait a pretty long time to get your deli meats; it’s hard to get anyone’s attention. Selection is good(especially for such a little place) and it’s centrally(get it? Central Avenue??) located. Haha. Clearly I’m hilarious. Alright then! Moving on… I’m going back when in the area. Would recommend you try it if you live around there.

A good selection for a small grocer. Fantastic prices on FRESH produce. They are very friendly and have great customer service. They have a deli with fantastic meat selection, also have pre-marinated, just go home and cook! I’ll put it this way, I try to eat 4 pieces of fruit a day as well as 2 serving of vegetables with dinner. My weekly cost for produce is UNDER $ 10. I wont ever buy produce from Ralph’s again :)

If you are a fan of armenian food, they have kabobs ready to grill and are delicious. All you need is chicken, beef kabob, tomatoes, fresh parsley, feta cheese, hummus, pita bread and after you grill the meet and tomatoes — voala! Fruits and vegetables are always fresh and a lot cheaper than in the supermarket.

This Market and the people there are truly amazing. I have gone here a few times before but Thursday I was asked by a friend to pick up a handful of items that she needed. She is Jewish and Persian and her father passed and needed Persian Black Tea and sugar cubes. I advised the one woman of the situation and she gave me the best tea they had, kosher sugar cubes and dates. She said the dates were tradition. My friend advised me that her entire family was impressed by the tea and she was grateful on getting the dates. The people were so helpful and I am very thankful they helped me. There are so many fruit and vegetables that are fresh and well below any prices I have seen in the super market. I highly recommend this place for all of your grocery needs as everything is fresh and very inexpensive
