BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE! This contractor is sloppy, unprofessional, and incompetent. We hired him to install CAT 6 wire in our home. He told us this would be an easy, one-​day job. Six weeks later the wiring STILL did not work because he did not have a basic understanding of internet cable — he had wired two devices on one CAT 6 wire so that only one would work at a time. After wasting our weekends and evenings, he had to hire a separate A/​V specialist to come out and diagnose the problem for him. When I then asked for a refund, he insisted he had done the job correctly and then told me that he had «thrown that work in for free.» He then literally ran out of my house without a word, jumped in his van and sped away. It was like a scene out of Dateline’s «To Catch a Predator» series.
In addition to the failed wiring work, he patched 6−8″ holes in our walls with strips of drywall tape and heavy mud. The walls were left in a «Frankenstein» state — lumpy, cracking, with drywall tape showing through. None of the holes were patched with mesh or drywall as would have been appropriate for holes of that size. Needless to say, the drywall tape cracked, fell apart, and had to be properly repaired. He also left our house and our walls a complete mess. Entire walls had to be repainted due to dirt and handprints left by him and his employees.
I filed a complaint with the AZ Registrar of Contractors. After a site inspection, the ROC issued a Corrective Order to him to correct every single claim in my complaint. We are now in the period that he has to correct the work and he is quibbling with us about how to fix the repairs. He has also called the other contractor we had out to evaluate the work as part of our AZ ROC complaint to ask him how to fix the internet cable work!
Additionally, while at our house, his employees reeked of marijuana, cut an accidental hole through our wall into another room, and clogged (and then scratched up) our toilet.
This guy is a complete disaster and a simple crook. I certainly would never hire this guy again, even to change a simple light fixture.
