It’s closed during summer, but I’d started going back a few months ago. The competition isn’t what it used to be and compared to the«old days’, it’s pretty empty. You can still get a good game there, though(usually). It’s a completely different crowd, these days, but everybody is very nice and friendly. The lighting is pretty crappy(dim), worse than I remember it being, but hey, it could be worse. It could be like the new courts in Sylmar that are so bright you’re actually searching for the bird, during every shot. It’s not very crowded anymore and they could really use more people. I hear the program is under the threat of being shut down, due to low attendance. That would be a shame, as it has been running for decades and it’s the only Monday night place to play in the Valley. Plus, I live in Glendale, so it’s close by.

great place to play, lighting not the best but great for practice and close for people who live in the valley as i do. free parking and just a five dollar fee which is fine cheap considering you will have to drive all the way to elmonte or further to play…

There is a badminton game here every Monday at 7 pm till 10 pm. You can play all you want for a minimal fee of 5 dollars per person. Most of the players are at least in level C and D. Plays singles and doubles just bring your badminton racket and shuttle cock. It is quite far if you don’t have a car, but you can take the 91 or 92 metro bus going there. If you know any badminton schedules near downtown LA, just post it here.
