We order here using Grubhub and this place ihas quick delivery and the food here is delicious! Egg rolls are moist and flavorful and crisp on the outside without it being overly greasy. Pot stickers are great too. Order the Cantonese chicken chow mein and the pork fried rice — soooo good! Tried the veggie fried rice too which was surprisingly delicious. The chicken kow was excellent with white meat chicken, lotsa vegetables in a velvety white sauce! Egg foo young is classic American Cantonese at its best! I order from here regularly thru Grubhub and they are super fast!

Quite possibly the worst I’ve ever had. Glutinous, greasy, awful. And not even a bargain. I live within a mile and drive considerably further to get decent Chinese food.

Good take out Chinese. We’ve tried many up and down the north shore and I’m liking Chin’s best. Pot stickers and fried rice were great. Mongolian was good. Hunan was kind of bland. I’ve never tried the chop sued, will have to get that next time. The spartan 50’s décor tele me that it will be authentic.

I’ve been eating Chin’s since I was a kid, I think it’s even better now. We love the beef broccoli, pot stickers, chicken fried rice and egg rolls. I’m sure there are many other great options on the menu but we never try new things because we always want to order our favorites. Prices seem high but reasonable for the area. We usually get it delivered, they are always on time with hot, fresh food. A nice young man always delivers and for the last 2 years he has remembered that we have a baby in the house who might be sleeping so he knocks quietly and whispers when we open the door at the door. What could be better than that!?!

We’re a big fan of their shrimp fried rice! It’s a little darker and different than fried rice you get from other Chinese restaurants, but very tasty!

They’ve the best Spicy Beef Lo Mein That I have had so far from any Chinese take out restaurant. Shrimp Fried Rice is decent as well.

We like Chins for takeout. My mother in law likes the orange chicken. My kids like a crispy chicken appetizer. My favorites are just the basics and I am very happy with an egg roll and an order of fried rice. Note that they don’t take credit cards and they are closed on Mondays.

The only thing good about Chin’s is the size of the portions. The rest of the Chin’s experience consists of noodles drenched in sweat from somebody’s nutsack, overwhelmingly greasy entrée choices, and ineluctable diarrhea. I’m also convinced that you kill brain cells by eating here.

We ordered from here via grubhub and it was a HUGE disappointment. Not one of the 6 items we ordered was decent. Egg rolls — very doughy. Crab ragoon — doughy and just a ton of fake crabmeat. Sweet & sour chix — chix chunks were dense and tough which made me think it was poor quality. House Special Spicy Beef — just viscous brown sauce with no flavor & wasn’t even spicy. Same with the Curry Chicken but with non appetizing curry flavor. Its like they overdid the slurry or cornstarch on both. Fried rice was dark brown to almost black — too much seasoning & overcooked. Will never make this mistake again.

The person taking my order was unhelpful to the point of being unfriendly. Someone from the back apologized, but the experience was unpleasant enough that I don’t plan to return.

Their entrees are much better than they used to be! The sesame chicken might be the best I have ever had and their fried rice is as good as ever. I do wish they took credit card, but I guess I will live. Do not miss their Egg Rolls!

Love the food here! Sweet and Sour Chicken is yummy, Mongolian Beef yummy, Pot Stickers yummy! It’s purely takeout, the inside is nothing fancy, just good take out Chinese. Remember to bring cash!

For takeout chinese, there is no better place. My wife and I drive from Evanston about once a month to eat their Mongolian Beef(ask for it extra spicy) and Sweet & Sour Chicken. Beef fried rice and pot stickers are also very good.

Let’s not bash this place for what it isn’t. It’s pretty much carryout only, cash only, so no niceties in terms of space, and it does not aspire to be «authentic Chinese»(I am wondering where nearest Chinatown is to downtown Glencoe). That said, their dinner portions easily serve 3 people, and the quality is actually pretty good. Love orange Chicken or Kung Pao beef. Don’t like their special sauce quite as much. Personal little pet peeve worth ½ star. The quality is consistently good but the amount of sauce is very uneven(I prefer more sauce to less). I am still rounding up the 3.5 stars to 4.

Hands down, best fried rice Ive ever had. Mongolian Beef and Governer’s chicken are also amazing. Its not fancy by any means, but you cant beat the prices here for the amount of food you will get.

Oh dear, this is as Americanized as they get. I’m sure the owners are wonderful people but I just can’t grant the restaurant another star based on the quality of the food. I don’t expect fancy, but that thick, brown sauce/gravy is just too much in everything. Also, the Yu Shun Beef was sweeter than the sugar drink for diabetes test. The vegetable/tofu plate(no brown sauce!) was the best of all entrees we ordered.

Again, I wish there were half-stars on Unilocal, because Chin’s is a solid 3.5 star place. So, I’m being nice and rounding up. For the price, you get a lot of good food from Chin’s. Their pot stickers are tremendous(and I love me some pot stickers). Their main dishes aren’t on par with fancier Chinese places, but Chin’s never claims to be upscale. I’m a fan of the Mongolian beef and orange peel chicken, which I know are generic, but I like them anyway. The chicken can sometimes be a little sweet, but I always manage to clean my plate.
