Patch’s is a local market in Glen, NH near Heaven’s ski shop that offers beer, wine, food, deli items, and has an ATM. I was staying at a local ski cabin near Attitash after a long day of hiking and needed to pick up some beer and stop by an ATM. The closest market was closed and therefor I had to trek further away. Patch’s was the closest market but had everything that I needed I picked up two four packs of my fave local beers, Moat Mountain blueberry and pale ale. They also had an ATM, which was a major plus in order to pay for my lodging. The people at the counter were friendly and the place seemed pretty well organized. It’s nice to have places like this in the area when you are too far to get to one of the distant grocery stores.

Gas! Yeah! I had forgotten how many miles it was between gas stations since I’ve been living in MA. I coasted from Mt Washington and was happy to see this place when I rounded the bend. Besides gas they have soups to nuts. Inside picnic tables to sit at after ordering some food. Post office boxes for getting mail and a little in between. Too cool.

The spirit of the mountain saved my life by guiding me and my comrades through a secret mountain pass to avoid the blizzard. Thanks Patch’s
