Having just moved from CA where we had cable, we looked at our options here in PT and thought DirecTV might fit the bill — just TV please to go with our TIVO machine, no internet or phone(cuz we already had that). The website had a TIVO option so we went for that. We weren’t happy to have to wait 10 days for the installer. Then he arrives today and says our TIVO isn’t compatible. So it’s no-go and he said he’ll cancel the order. And we’re back to shopping for a TV connection. Why didn’t DirecTV do a validation call on what we had ordered? It would have saved the installer a trip. I’d call that a poor website.
