First time here and now I’m understanding all of the reviews about terrible service. We sat immediately and a server brought us water but no menus and didn’t ask if we wanted anything else to drink. After 10 minutes of sitting, another waiter asked if we were being helped or ready to order, meanwhile we still never got menus. He gave us take out menus, and that was the last time we saw him. Another 10 minutes went by before a third waiter asked if anyone was helping us and finally we got our orders taken. After 27 minutes they brought us some tasteless bread. The minestrone soup was the color and thickness of butternut squash soup and tasted like it came out of a can. The plain slice would have been good if it had a taste to it. It was like eating crispy bread with some plain cheese on it. My salad was good as was the grilled chicken platter. It was pretty dissapointing when the table next to us was sat, helped and served before we even got our entrée, but the waiter seemed to know them so I guess that’s why he actually attended to them. Our experience was so terrible yet the place was packed for 5 pm on a Monday and seemed to be full of regulars. I doubt this was a fluke based on many other Unilocal reviews and I won’t be going back. I’ll give 2 stars because the waiter who finally took care of us was very considerate and did his best. INRESPONSETOTHEOWNERSCOMMENTS… The owner, who so happens to discount every single Unilocal review that’s negative, has an excuse for everything. Blaming a competitor, calling my experience and many other people’s experiences a fluke is just not doing justice to his business. The staff is not friendly and is not courteous. The waiter I ended up with, after my initial waiter failed to come back after 20 min ended up being a professional but it didn’t make up for the lack of attention. He was polite and respectful and profusely apologized. As a side note having a singular bathroom in a restaurant that size is ridiculous especially after eating one of these«magnificent» dishes. My boyfriend went to use the bathroom and came back because there was a line. If I were the owner I would invest in under the table vomit bags and a a complimentary bottle of pepto bismol on your way out like a stadium giveaway. My theory of why people eat at this establishment is because his location is impeccable. Nobody in their right mind would go out of their way to eat at this place.

Stopped in for lunch. I ordered a Margarita slice and Barbeque chicken slice. I also order a small spinach and mozzarella roll. My favorite of the three was the barbeque chicken slice. It was delicious. I have had way better Margarita slices. The pizza dough was also on the thin side. The spinach roll was tasty with a little bit of their sauce. I am all about the sauce. It was OK. I enjoyed it. Might give them another shot and try something different. Their staff was friendly.

Had the pleasure to try this place out today. Friendly staff and attentive. Ordered the eggplant parm, but got the chicken parm. The waitress had it exchanged right away, and she was quite fast on her service. Although it was lunch portion, but the portion is quite big and satisfying. The lentil soup was a bit disappointing because it didn’t wow me like the minestrone I tried at mama Teresa, but it was decent and I like that it was hot. Some place offers warm soup which is a big no no. One thing, I’m on t mobile 4g but I couldn’t get any service inside the booth!!! Perhaps you can ask t mobile for a booster for service? That’d be great. :) Definitely will be back again.

Amalfi is delicious! Pizza is very tasty and a large selection to choose from. We had a pizza for appetizer with some delicious chicken wings and baked clams which are some of the best I ever had. They have a large choice of salads and for entrees I highly recommend the veal parmigiana. Great place for the family to enjoy!!!

Pizza is great. Especially when they first opened there was this eggplant thing with crust on the bottom and top and layers of amazing eggplant parm in between. Please bring that back. Pizza w roasted red peppers and feta is great. Recommend chicken Marsala, eggplant parm, broccoli rabe,(and random lentil soup if you’re sick, it’s practically medicinal)

Ordered from here several times because there just aren’t any great pizza joints in the area. Service is alright but the pizza is very average and inconsistent. Heros are average. Had the linguine with white clam sauce on one occasion and there was some type of sandy, gritty stuff in it. They weren’t too concerned when I informed them the next time I was in there. Not much else to say.

The people that work here are so rude. The ladies never smile and always rush you. I don’t know why I came back, bad choice

Amalfi is fabulous! The pizza is great. My favorite is the barbecue chicken pizza. They have excellent salads and definitely the best penne alla vodka I have ever had! I get the vodka sauce all the time for home. It lasts 2 nights of dinner if you make your own pasta. The chicken wings are great too. Highly recommended. Atmosphere is comfortable and you feel like your in Italy.(The closest I’ll get)!

The calimari is the best we’ve found. Super tender with sauce that’s spicy delicious. The Estate salad is like a plate of sunshine. Sweet strawberries, oranges, creamy goat cheese and toasted pine nuts over baby spinach. So yummy, no dressing needed. Lots of great menu items and service with a smile. Will be back.

Yummy!(mostly) The Caesar Salad was over dressed and tasted a bit fishy. Our waitress was very helpful and nice, also the baked clams were extremely good(I don’t even like clams usually!), so was the lasagna! Save room for dessert here though because it comes automatically after you finish eating. This should have been 3 and a half stars but the website doesn’t let you put halves in. :(The Monday night special was a great deal!

Service was terrible tonight. We were seated immediate and then waited 15 minutes for someone to come and take our order.(After we asked the hostess twice that we hadn’t been helped yet). Waited another 10 minutes for drinks which were 2 cokes. Excuses over excuses. Over an hour after arrival we finally got our food! They didn’t charge us for drinks after I complained about the wait and delays and I never did see the manager that I asked to speak to. We got our food wrapped up and left. You guys really need to keep an eye on that waitress. She seems to be super unorganized and frazzled.

Amalfi has very good food and decent service too. I mostly get take out or delivery since I work in the neighborhood. Their pizza and salads are excellent and the linguini barbaniera is my favorite dish there. Most of their prices are reasonable except for the salads… they’re a little expensive, especially if you’re adding grilled chicken. I once used them to cater an office party and the food was good too. Overall, I would recommend Amalfi if you’re in the mood for good Italian food.

I knew this place was a winner when I saw on the menu pizza with anchovies, fresh garlic, no cheese and WELLDONE. Somebody in the kitchen knows old school pizza. Grandma,… are you back there? I rate this a 5 Star Pizzeria/Restaurant because the food is of excellent quality, FRESHLY made, Delicious and comes to your table HOT! I’ve tried about 8 different dishes to date and each one was a grand slam! Believe me, you’re going to enjoy eating at Amalfi Pizzeria and Restaurant.

Went for lunch and all was good. Heard from many friends this is the place to go for Italian in Glen Cove. I will go back.

It’s noisy, but not rediculous. We sat down before another table and they were served first, they need more wait staff. I ordered the North Shore Salad and it had canned green beans in it, discusting. Not what I want to have in a fresh salad. And the Chicken and Broccoli roll tasted stale or not seasoned enough. The pizza is usually pretty good, and the prices for slices and pies are moderate. Better off going for a slice or a pie ONLY! They have a good slice and creative gourmet pies, however, the last few times I went to dine-in I didn’t have the best experience.

Yep. Another pizza place /Italian restaurant in an LI strip mall. ZZzzzzzzz. I did find some gems in Amalfi though. Oddly enough… in the salad section. While most pizza place salads consist of vegetables quartered and barely chopped iceberg, Amalfi had over a dozen different salads. All had different nuts, cheeses, veggies and lettuce. The execution was on point too(check my pic). My salad(forgot the name, no online menu) was full of gorgonzola, beets, asparagus, avocado, corn and arugula. A random combo? Maybe. A delicious combo? Yeeeeeeeeep. Cost was $ 11. There were also a few lunch specials available and for $ 8 my Gramps got a large plate of eggplant parm w/a side of angel hair(check the otha pic). I can’t vouch for the taste obviously, but in sheer size this is a great deal. There was a large wrap /panini menu, as well as… pizza! So, there’s a solid chance I’ll be back here.

This used to be Delicious pizza years ago. I had a Chicken Roll here and a Cannoli. The Cannoli was definitely the highlight. The use fresh un-filled shells and then fill them, the way it should be done. The chicken roll was good, not great.
