Ok so I’m from Cali and my sis now lives here and I was visiting her for the weekend! Well happened to be cinco de mayo weekend so guess what? We needed to make some good ol Mexican food… o Unilocaled this place while I was there and so we decided to check it out. Although small it has EVERYTHING you need to make some authentic Mexican food and the prices are not very expensive. The produce was exceptional! They had the«raw» tortillas I was looking for that I would not been able to find at any regular store and all the Mexican candies and chicarones you could desire… not to mention the 2 ladies that checked us out were hysterical and of course my goof of a sister didn’t make things any better they got a kick out of her as well. We checked out and the bill was $ 77.77 they said we should’ve played the lotto., they were probably right. We to sum it all up, good store, good prices and good stock gracias por todo

I read the review about this place, at first I was iffy, but I guess not all reviews are what they seem. It’s pretty awesome, got the chorizo from here and the avocados are f****** amazing, best in town. The salsas are awesome too! If you want to make your own guacamole, especially since Superbowl Sunday is coming up soon. Get the avocados from here. They don’t know much english but they will do their best to help you.

Screw this place! I’m mexican from Chicago and this store may have a lot of Latin products but they ripped me off at butcher section and then the employees didn’t know I knew spanish and they spoke very vulgar about me and made rude comments. I bought carnitas that were listed as 8.99 a lb and I asked for half lb obviously they don’t know how to do math be cause they gave me nearly 1 lb(according to the amount of carnitas I had I have a food scale weighed it and it was less than half a lb) and charged me 11 $ I asked the butcher in spanish and he smirked and gave an «I dunno» face like really?!? So the woman next to him said oh we mixed up the bins sorry but you got the right price and I was just shocked. Then at the cash register the cashier rung up things at that weren’t ringing up right with the ticketed prices on the items I had. So sad because I really liked going here even though it was a bit far from my local area. I’ve already found a replacement store, and won’t be going back to jalapeños market. I’ve already spread the word of how bad this store has gotten to a large community of Hispanic people that wanted to go there or have been here and haven’t been impressed. So sad but you’ve just lost big customers.
