Baskin-Robbins

If you get my flavor of every month, you got me there. I am along for a drive down every time BR mixes new ice cream flavor.

Admittedly, it has been years since I have been to a Baskin Robbins, but I had fond memories of both the variety and quality of their offerings. I’ve grown bored with grocery stores’ ice cream offerings, and since each person in my home prefers a different flavor, stopping by 31 flavors for a treat sounded like a better option. Yeah, well, I was wrong. I ordered two scoops of the nutty coconut ice cream. It was not nutty, it was not rich with the flavor of coconut, and it certainly was not creamy; rather, it was littered with ice chips, suggesting at least on partial thaw and refreeze, and lacked flavor of any kind. My son and wife each ordered waffle cones and each of said cones were totally stale. Oh, and 31 flavors? Not even close. I didn’t count, but I’d guesstimate 12 flavor offerings. Fine, I’ll be generous and say there were 18, but still WAY shy of the insinuated 31. It would have been cheaper to buy each of us our pint of Haagen Dazs with a box of waffle cones and the quality would have been better.
