Love this place, great people, chill vibes, awesome drinks. I have yet to try to salads but they look very appealing and the next time I’m back in, will definitely be getting one. I just found out today that not only do they sell kombucha, but they brew it as well. I don’t know if it was just sheer luck of the draw or cosmic coincidence but I was selected to try their new flavor which will go unnamed for now, but I will tell you this much from someone who has been drinking kombucha for about five years, it was one of the best most enjoyable to date.

People seem to be complaining about juice prices, but this place is the same or cheaper than the three other fresh juice places I know in bmore. Fresh juice isn’t cheap! Agree that on the spot juicing would be ideal, but I do think what they have is squeezed and bottled locally and regularly. Went recently and service was great and the falafel salad I had was very good. Also excited to see the addition of kombucha!

When I checked out I just realized the price for a bottle of juice is $ 6.36 although it tasted good. If they could make a price label on the juice it would be more convenient for customer.

I went for the first time today, it has a new name and sells food as well and I thought I’d give their juice a try. Well, this«juice bar» was out of juice. Their main staple. The staff was nice and apologetic but it will probably be awhile til I give the place another try. Kinda like going to a bar and the establishment being out of liquor… More hilarious than aggravating.

Well this is a first. I review and within days I make good on my intention to go back and actually go in. Yay! I met the owner… she was delightful, as were the other employees. Well y’all I really liked the spot. Its right off The Avenue. Parking may be a doosy. PARKINGATTENDANTSDONOPLAYINHAMPDEN!!! DONOTGETCAUGHTOUTTHERE!!! Inside the décor is fun. Puts you in a healthy mood. Now I was there on apparently a special day. I’m going through the flavors. Pregnancy does not allow me to have pineapple so I was able to easily go through the clear labels to eliminate all the flavors i couldn’t have. I had been eyes the purplish juices so I began to look at them. I come across an apple, ginger, lemon(and something else I can’t remember mix) SCORE. I’m looking at my husband like, you know i love think kind of juice so why hadn’t i gotten this one before(not that i’m not thankful for being introduced to the best flavor of the HULK)! The owner explains that she discontinued the juice for a while as a response to a decline in sales. Makes sense. Many of our small business owners are extremely responsive to their customers buying habits. Well I am HAPPY to announce this drink is back and we all need to get over there and buy buy buy. It was soooooooooooo good! Think i’m going to make a suggestion to sell gallons of each flavor! Oh My, could we have our own McCutcheons growing in our backyard. Yay Baltimore!

As other reviewers have pointed out, at Jukai Juice they just sell bottles of pre-made juice. That means, when you choose your flavor, they just open a fridge and give you a bottle. The store mainly consists of a fridge and a counter; don’t expect to see the juice made. The littlest bottle(quite little) was about $ 5 when I went in September — expensive! Also, the juice is only that: pure liquid without any solids. This is probably standard; I just was expecting more of a smoothie experience, which it isn’t. It did taste good. Personally, due to the prices and non-unique experience of buying a bottle of juice from a fridge, I’m going to stick to getting fruit & vegetable juices at the grocery store. If daily made bottled juices are your jam, this would be your place.

So glad this place was here! In town, temporarily crashing with friends in Hampden, and being on the road makes it really tough to get proper nutrition so juice bars are my savior. I had some time to kill so I walked on over to Jukai for their goodness. The shop was small and cute! The staff were both friendly, and ready to help. They were obviously very knowledgeable too. Only things, I felt the price was a little steep for juice that was made ahead of time, rather then being made fresh when you order. Also surprised at the ‘In My Tree’ juice being so pale in color. It was a light yellowish-green. I’ve made my own juice before and the littlest bit of kale usually makes it dark green. The juice was pretty sweet like it was heavy on the lemon and apple. Didn’t really taste the ginger either. . Otherwise it was delicious to drink, and nice that you could choose a smaller size. If I lived in Baltimore I would definitely order a 3-day cleanse, as I’d imagine that’d be a good way to get it pretty fresh. I’ll certainly come back next time I’m passing through. Need my greens! Thanks Jukai :)

I finally stopped by the new neighborhood juice bar, Jukai Juice. I love the concept, but can’t see myself as a regular customer because I live in the neighborhood. I have a juicer and enjoy making green juice at home, so if I was nearby and craving juice… I’d probably just go home! This is the reason it took me a few months to try it… but the day after I got home from my vacation, I was tired, in a rush, and fresh out of produce! I had the Hulk(green juice with kale, apple, pineapple, lemon, ginger) and it was definitely one of the better green juices I’ve ever had. Great flavor and consistency. Tasty and just the right amount of tart! I don’t prefer that the juice is pre-made. It would be nicer to see your fresh juice being made(who knows how long that’s been in the case, and juice starts oxidizing pretty much immediately). Part of going out to a juice bar(rather than just buying a Naked or Odwalla drink at a convenience store) is seeing the fresh ingredients turned into juice, being made-to-order, right in front of your face. I also didn’t enjoy the cartons that the juice came in. I’m a slob and prefer a top with a straw. Then I can’t knock it over or dribble it down the front of me. This type of container is too difficult to drink from neatly(necessary in a meeting or at your desk) and gives you the dreaded green juice mustache! I would have also liked to have a snack. A healthy cookie, muffin, sandwich, or veggie/hummus tray would have been nice to have. They did have a small case that maybe normally has these types of these things, but it was empty. Lastly, for me and many others, juicing is a great kick-start to the morning. Unfortunately, Jukai Juice doesn’t open until 10 a.m., and I(and most others) am already at work by that time. I bet if they opened at 8 or 8:30, business would increase, because people could pop by on their way to work.(I leave at 6:45, so that still wouldn’t help me, unfortunately…) I love juice and I love to see these types of healthy establishments popping up in Hampden. I’d love for Jukai Juice to stick around, and will stop by from time to time to try the seasonal options when I’m out of produce or short on time.

I just stopped by for a refreshing treat and bought the large size(16 oz) of the Hulk– which is made from kale, pineapple, green apple, lemon and ginger. It tastes absolutely amazing! Refreshing and energizing! I can’t wait for them to start blending made to order smoothies. The woman who greeted me at the counter was a fountain of knowledge on juicing and eating vegan. My juice was so good I just downed it all while writing this review. Yum!

I really enjoy cold-pressed juices and make them at home from time to time. I was walking around Hampden and stumbled upon Jukai Juice, which of course excited me greatly. The shop is small and the service is sweet. Most juice bars only sell standard size bottles, but this joint sells small bottles as well. I like the small sizes, as they are perfect for walking around the Hampden streets without feeling like you’ve had too much of a sugar rush.
