Lately I’ve been going to the Library of Virginia and Tuckahoe library. I hadn’t been to the Glen Allen Library in forevs, so I was surprised by how… not exciting it was when I went today. I mean, it’s your standard run-of-the-mill library. There are books, computers, and, well, more books. The layout is a little cramped and odd. It seems like the people who are using the computers or studying should have their own area instead of being cramped up by the brand new books section(where most people want to go). I remember when this library went under construction some years ago and now it seems like it needs a little more of an upgrade again. Being that I haven’t been to this library in ages, I had no idea where my card was. I asked a gentleman at the desk for some help and he gave it to me, albeit with a slight attitude. Listen, I know that working at a library isn’t the most fun thing in the world, but a pleasant smile and a little understanding would have made all the difference. I’m giving the Glen Allen Library 3 stars because it gets the job done and it’s a stone’s throw away from where I live. If you want opulence and more of a view, go to the Library of Virginia.

Thank you for the pristine and tranquil environment. As a 38-year-old student, finding a conducive study environment is pivotal. Having this library, knowing I was welcome, knowing that we all have the same goal, which is to foment a harmonious environment, has made all the difference.
