Great service. Always friendly. Calzone, white pizza and meat lovers pizza are favorites.

If I’m craving a calzone, Gino’s is the place that I call. They’re super friendly, fast, and the food is great. The salads are fresh and crisp too.

We were dying for something Italian that wasn’t pizza, so we tried Gino’s. We both had the lasagna and split an order of garlic bread with cheese. The lasagna was good, nothing out of the ordinary, but still better than pizza again. The garlic bread was okay with cheese, but there wasn’t much garlic to the garlic bread, and it wasn’t very well toasted. Our server was attentive and pleasant: she suggested a couple of wine pairings that went very well with our meal. What I consider coming back? Yes, but only if once again I was dying for something other than pizza… and wasn’t willing to drive further to find a better place.

We ate here because the reviews were good. I ordered garlic bread and an antipasto salad, my husband ordered ravioli. Ravioli tasted like I bough it at the store frozen and the sauce was mediocre. The garlic bread was a sub roll with garlic butter, gross! The antipasto salad would have been not too bad if they skipped the jarred pickled veggies they put on top. Pretty disappointing!

Here for the marathon. Great place to Carbo load. Small space that can’t accommodate large groups is a drawback. The spaghetti al a gino was amazing.

A bit overrated by other reviewers IMHO. The chicken Marsala was over salted but ok. The chicken was over cooked, chewy and just poor quality. I am surprised that an Italian place doesn’t have more of a wine list than ‘Chianti, Merlot, White Zinfandel…’ I.e. No labels to choose from. I guess this place is more rural than I thought. The waitress was nice and polite but ignorant.

So our family has been going to Gino’s for a few years and have always had good food and good service. Tonight my husband was trying to confirm an order for a customized pizza for our daughters birthday tomorrow. The owner was rude and actually hung up on my husband. We will never return. There are tons of pizza places out there. Go somewhere else. They obviously have more business than they should if they think they can treat a customer that way. I would give a 0 if I could.

For those of us who grew up in the north where there were«real» Italian restaurants and pizza places on just about every corner, Gino’s will not disappoint. Everything about this pizza is the way it should be. The quality of the cheese is first rate. The sauce is amazing too. The crust has a bit of baked quality on the bottom while retaining the moisture in the upper part. The Italian dishes are great too. Although since the pizza is so good, that’s what I usually get. The staff is very attentive and polite which is just as important as good food.

Nice, clean and friendly small restaurant with very good pizza and sandwiches. The pasta is excellent and it is all reasonably priced. We eat there about once a month and have never been disappointed.

If you’re looking for a real sub with real ingredients. Gino’s is the place to go. Hot and fresh and delicious. Worth the drive from the East End.

Consistent. Good mom & pop Italian food — pizza, pasta and calzones.

Work across the street so eat here a lot. Pizza is good(sauce is nice and thick and not to sweet) but the CALZONES rock ! I highly recommend them, I usually get spinach/feta/pepperoni and black olives.(someone could teach them to braid the edge so toppings stay in because the PACKITFULL)

It was ok. Had the eggplant parm and had enough to take home. I didn’t really think it was cheap like other reviewers have said though, just what you’d expect to pay for a large plate. The fact that the sandwich came with chips instead of something more inventive leads me to think it was actually sort of overpriced. But maybe I’m just a spoiled West Coaster who thinks everything here is expensive. :)

This is a real favorite of mine from my days in Richmond. The pizza, baked pasta dishes, and breadsticks with cheese are all as good as I have had anywhere. It certainly isn’t pretentious or exceptionally fancy, but it fed me well for years.

Casual family run Italian place. Not gourmet by any means. Really nice service. Food isn’t bad and is quick. Kids like it on the way back from KD. Party of seven ate for $ 41 at a sit-down restaurant convenient to US1 and I-95. Next to Ukrops. Bathrooms could use some improvement, but overall the place is clean, the food is good and the service is attentive. What else could you want after a long day being overwhelmed by booty shorts and halter tops at King’s Dominion? A quiet simple meal in a family restaurant before the journey home.
