Piece of Cake Desserts

I have gotten cupcakes from here a few times. It is located right by my daughter’s school, which is how I stumbled across it. The cupcakes are not piled to the sky with frosting and the frosting is wonderful. Especially the cream cheese frosting. Today I bought 18 cupcakes for my daughter’s 10^th birthday. Needless to say they went over very well. The girls loved them. We had pink champagne, chocolate and red velvet. You can not go wrong with cupcakes from here. They are moist, delicious and reasonably priced.

Absolutely loved our wedding cake and grooms cake. We and all our guests were so impressed with the detail and taste. Amazing! Amy was great, she sat down and listened to our ideas and helped us stay within our budget.

My daughter had a specific idea of what she wanted for her baby shower. I gave them a picture and they made the cake PERFECT! It was the most amazing cake ever. And it tasted even better than it looked. We also bought three dozen cupcakes for the «sweet table». They were also very good. I posted pictures in the other part of this page, the picture was just beautiful. This will be the bakery we use for EVERY occasion.

Yummy cupcakes and not too sweet. Very moist I loved them. Although i am not a big fan of butter cream, I liked their’s. I tried 4 different flavors, my favorite was the almond cupcake and the red velvet. Recommended for sure and will of course be going back for more. Would like to try ordering a cake from there sometime.

My fiancé and I met Kevin this evening at our wedding cake consultation. We told him we were on a tight budget and we were worried about being able to afford our dream cake with the amount of upgrade costs wedding vendors usually charge. We showed him pictures of our dream cake and he said no problem and no extra costs! The cake samples were AMAZING– we ended up going with White Almond Infusion and Almond Cream Cheese filling, Chocolate Cake and Chocolate filling, and Red Velvet with Cream Cheese filling. We can’t wait to share our dream cake with our guests on our special day!

Very much appreciated the note from the owner based on my recent experience. Refund was not necessary, but I appreciate the follow up and will try them out again because Kevin really went above and beyond. The cupcakes were delicious — toasted coconut, pink champagne and almond were the highlights!
Customer experience was so bad — don’t care what the cupcakes taste like, won’t be back. First visit, came in 2 hours before close on a Sat. and bought 24 of the approx 36 cupcakes in the case. Employee scolded me for not calling ahead and proceeded to tell me very sternly how hard I made it for her by buying this many at one time. I thought the point was to buy their desserts. They might be the best ever, I don’t care, won’t go back to a place that doesn’t want business.

I had them make my brothers ASU graduation cake and they did an amazing job! My expectations were met! And the price is not bad either. They really did do a fantastic job! It was delicious! A lot of cake was in it lol

We celebrated my daughter’s 23^rd birthday last weekend and Piece of Cake did our birthday cake and cupcakes. Piece of Cake went above and beyond to make my order special. My daughter wanted a cake shaped like an elephant. Not a very easy project but they pulled it off with matching cupcakes. I am beyond happy with Piece of Cake. Did I mention how good it tasted too?!

Piece of Cake Desserts was amazing! They made our wedding cake for our weddin on May 30^th. Not only was it absolutely beautiful, it tasted AMAZING. We still get raving reviews from family and friends about our cake. We would absolutely recommend Piece of Cake Desserts to make your special cake.

Decided to stop by and check out their cupcakes since I was just down the street having lunch. The cupcakes were very delish. I got the salted caramel and red velvet. I can’t wait until the next time I’m in the area to try the others!!!

I would like to start off by saying that the actual cake part of the cupcake was moist and delicious. However, the cupcakes had way too much frosting for my taste. When the frosting overpowers the cake it just ruins the experience. I also felt the price vs size was off. I paid 17 and change for six little cupcakes. Maybe I’m out of touch with prices now a day. Next time I think I will stick with donuts.

Went in a couple weeks ago to plan our wedding cake and for a tasting. The three types of cake we tasted were really delicious. I only wished there were more kinds to taste, but they gave us the three most popular kinds. Our consultant Lindsay was very helpful, patient, and fun to work with. We discussed every possible detail and I’m excited to see our cake on the big day! Will post an update after…

I had a cake made for my hubby’s 50^th birthday party. They made it personalized just for him, even the little fondant dude on top looked like him. It was 2-​tiered so I chose 2 different cake/​filling combinations, both of which were delicious. They were very helpful during the ordering process. I would highly recommend this bakery when looking for a special occasion dessert. P. S. I did try their cupcakes too and they are very tasty.

My daughter described what she wanted for her wedding, and the cupcakes were both beautiful and delicious! This is one vendor I’d highly recommend ! Prices were very reasonable!

I had been curious about this little shop for a while, so the other night my husband and I stopped in. It was late in the day, almost 6:00 at night but there were still quite a few different cupcakes to choose from. I asked the gentleman behind the counter if they had any gluten free choices and even though there weren’t any in the case he asked if I would like to try one that had been frozen. This is where the amazing customer service comes in, he went and got me TWO cupcakes from the back, frosted them with a dairy-​free, cream cheese frosting and decorated the top. I believe he was an owner and was really, really super nice. We picked out four cupcakes all together, got a discount because it was after 6 and were on our way. Ok, now how were the cupcakes? They were AWESOME! My gluten free, dairy free cupcakes were so delicious. The frosting was creamy and tasted like cream cheese frosting. The vanilla cake was one of the best I have ever tasted. My husband had a coconut cupcake and was really sad he hadn’t gotten an extra, and my son had a chocolate cupcake with chocolate mint frosting that he said «rocked» (high praise from a 15 year old). This little bakery is right around the corner from my house and that is going to be very dangerous. I have been craving them for the last two days. Please give them a try, you wont be sorry!!!

We recently locked this bakery in as our cake vendor for our upcoming wedding… and couldn’t be more excited! After setting up an appointment, we met our cake consultant for the hour time frame. Kevin was SUPERB in our consultation. We never felt pressured and found ourselves getting even more creative with our cake design!
We chose to go with a cake that feeds 65 – 75 guests. Each layer will be a different flavor (free of charge). My favorite from the cake sampling was the almond cake with vanilla buttercream frosting. We will also be including a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and a dark chocolate cake with cannoli/​mini choco chip filling.
We are beyond excited to see what the finished product will look and taste like on our wedding day. Stay tuned for pics!

Piece of Cake Desserts made the process of ordering our wedding cake… well, a piece of cake!
We were referred here by our venue, Portico (
), and decided to go with them because A) why not? I had no other bakery in mind and B) the package comes with a replication of the top tier for major anniversaries. No more saving a piece of stale wedding cake in the freezer!
When we went in for our tasting and consultation, we were led to a private little nook to chat with a very friendly woman whose name has escaped me. She asked a few questions about our event and our hopes and dreams, then showed us their portfolio of cakes so we could tell her what we liked. Using a few of their photos and explanations of what was in my head, she started sketching. She showed us what she was thinking, and it was exactly what *I* was thinking! She brought out cupcakes for us to sample their flavors, and it was an easy choice. Two tiers of almond white cake, one tier of red velvet, cream cheese buttercream and fondant. Yum. All we had to do then was drop off our cake topper before the wedding and the rest was handled. Woohoo!
I didn’t even see the cake until I walked in to the reception after the wedding. It sat there on its pedestal, looking perfect and delicious. When it was cut and served, it WAS perfect and delicious.

Very impressed with Piece of Cake! We ordered my graduation cake from them and they were able to make a custom cake with only 6 day notice (after original plans fell through)… Very accommodating! The cake turned out so adorable and exactly what we described. Also, it was honestly some of the most delicious cake I’ve ever eaten; so moist! The chocolate ganache filling was to die for! I will definitely be returning for our next big event that requires a cake. The only downside is that it’s pretty pricey… But definitely worth.

My goodness this place is good! I’ve been several times and have enjoyed my cupcakes each time. My sister and her husband ordered their wedding cake from here and enjoyed their overall cake design and taste. Not a ton of flavors for cupcakes but they are better known for their cakes. My favorite is the cookies and cream cupcake. Plus their sandwich board on cooper is great, check out if you like cupcakes!

My husband and I LOVE Piece of Cake!!! They made our wedding cake in 2009 along with a grooms cake for my husband :)…since then my husband ordered a graduation cake for my when I finished dental school and an awesome 30^th bday cake for me this year! We’ve also tried their new cupcakes which are just as delish as their cakes! We cannot recommended then enough!

I met with Kevin for the initial consultation for our wedding cake. He was very professional and really prepared for our meeting. I had explained a little bit in advance in our email about the design my fiancé and husband wanted. We wanted a very distinct pattern in our cake. When we arrived for the consultation. Kevin was so excited about the opportunity that he showed us a stencil with the design we wanted. He purchased it solely for our consultation. I loved that he was just excited about our cake design as we were.
They hit it out of the park on the first consult, but our venue did give us the option to choose our cake from one other vendor. We did meet with them, but Piece of Cake had left such an impression on us that we booked them for our event.
The cakes they create don’t only look beautiful, they are delicious! We had 3 flavors on our 4 tier cake– choco w/​khalua frosting, almond w/​cream cheese frosting and white cake w/​almond frosting. They were all perfectly moist and not overly sweet.
Overall, great experience with Piece of Cake and highly recommend them for your special day!
