Pakoras were like dough. Naan bread tasted like it came out a bag. This was a bad experience. Maybe their food is good but last night was not worth my time I was just hungry and made a bad decision due to that hunger. Next time we will just go buy tikka from Trader Joes. Do not waste your time.

This place is a gem. Gig Harbor residents are fortunate to have such a wonderful Indian restaurant. Beautiful décor, relaxed ambiance, incredible food. Aside from the one person in our group who was on a diet that pretty much relegated her to eating leafy greens, the rest of us loved our selections. For me, the Murgh tikka masala– a dish I’ve never had disappoint and done to perfection once again here. As we sampled each other’s dishes, along with our wonderful assortment of naan breads, the other dish that stood out at the table was the mushroom mutter paneer. A delightfully creamy dish made from crushed cashews, tomatoes, mushrooms simmered in a glorious array of spices. Perfection. Definitely try a few different naan breads if you can. We enjoyed the spinach and garlic selections. Comfortable atmosphere, great service and will definitely be back again.

Woe betide the famished creature who visits GW during the Yuletide holiday or possibly Diwali(30 October in 2016), for one will be greeted upon arrival with crosswind zephyrs as bleary-eyed, confused and frenetic staff scurry to hydrate, to cajole, and finally to glean an order of delectable Northen Indian cuisine. But I spoke too soon. Aye, therein lies the rub: the excited state of the staff always haunted by the hovering Boss(think: Al Capone as Hindu) invariably err in order fulfillment. Our order was consistently all wrong; the table adjacent grew audible with«…this dish is too hot… I didn’t order this…» Said chaos left my metabolism transiently weaker, but to no avail I ingested my(neighbors) mild dish after waiting an hour, then promptly bolted. My after-thought was, next time, get it to go or fast for the evening.

Completely inedible! I had the lamb Tikki Masala and the lamb was tough, chewy, and Incredibly dry. Just flavorless. The lamb wasn’t in bite size pieces instead they were large, sloppy chunks. This was my 1st visit and I really want to give Gateway to India the benefit of the doubt but my food was pretty bad!

Fantastic Indian food, made slow and right. Only down side is the amount of prep time, nothing unusual when curry is made fresh, but you take the time penalty if you’re on a schedule. Day time Buffet of course is not an issue. Dinner time though, plan for spending time. Half star less only for that, otherwise food gets all 5 stars. All the curry preps are served in chafing dishes so your food stays warm all through your dining. Curries are very authentic. I lived in India for 6 years so I can claim pro status :) Chicken Korma in picture.

This place is fantastic! The service was warm and accommodating and everything we ordered surpassed our expectations! Our server Leanne is so sweet and made recommendations and answered all of our questions about the menu. We ordered an extra helping of the Lentil Soup which came with our meal TOTAKEHOME! We loved this place and will definitely be back!

Server provided excellent service and brought the best Indian food ever! Haven’t had mint chutney so delightful since dining at Delhi Taste of India in Flagstaff. Coming back on the next swing through GH!

I haven’t eaten Indian food very often but tried this place upon moving back to Gig Harbor. The staff was patient, friendly, helpful and very passionate about the menu and the food. I explained that my stomach wouldn’t tolerate spicy food and the waiter made sure I was given food I could eat. Hot, fast and tasty. Not sure what I ate LOL but it was good. On the spendy side but worth the money — especially if you want Indian food or vegetarian — they have more vegetarian options than just about anyone in the area. Really enjoyed myself.

Love this restaurant. My family takes me here on special days because they know it is my favorite. My only gripe is I wish they were open on Sunday — was disappointed we couldn’t celebrate Father’s Day here. My favorite dish is the Chicken Makhani.

I had a 5 star experience both its service and food was amazing! We went in around 8pm and there was no other customer beside us. I wouldn’t have found the restaurant if it wasn’t for my phone. It is located across Park & Ride in Kimball office building so it is very easy to miss it by. The waiter that served was great in every way and the food we ordered(naan bread, tandoori platter, lamb, goa curry) were really delicious. Probably best Indian food I have ever tried.

The food here is up and down for me. The naan, rice, lentil soup, and chi are wonderful –couldn’t be better. Some of the main dishes however are a bit lacking. The boneless tandoori chicken and the curry dishes both fall flat. For some reason I keep going back to try and find a dish the will wow me…

The lunch buffet is wonderful. The ambiance is open and light with plenty of window seating. The Indian sitar music sets the stage for a relaxing culinary experience

In Gig Harbor Indian food is hard to find and I have been here before a few times for the lunch buffet. Usually I would give them three stars their food is nothing special but the location in gig harbor does make it in a category of one. Sadly, I was here today and there was no food, the lunch buffet finishes at 3pm and before two there was no food, especially butter chicken which is the cardinal food of Indian buffet. It took thirty minutes for new food to come out and by then I had eaten all the stale bread and rice that was there because none of the real dishes where out yet. My mom and I had a very disappointing lunch date. I won’t be returning even if it is the only Indian place in Gig Harbor.

A must visit Restaurant. Every time I am around this area I make sure to set aside some time to enjoy lunch or dinner, specially for memorable occasions. This time I wouldn’t be wrong. We celebrated an anniversary here and actually got desert on the house for the two couples in my table. From appetizers, entrees, side dishes to deserts. My favorite dish is the korma(Lamb and Chicken). Samosa my appetizer. Everything tasted good. Excellent service and ambience. Outstanding Indian food!
