Love the beer! Love that there’s a place to sit outside. I went here to grab a beer before my appointment at Blue Moon Massage and Wellness Spa(don’t worry, I wasn’t getting a massage, I know better LOL. Sugaring [waxing]… needed to build up nerve). Anyhow, I had the Parrot IPA. It was exactly what I would expect an IPA to taste like. I will be frequenting this place for sure this summer!

Nice beer selection with complimentary nuts and cool to bring your own food — pet and kid friendly where you can bring them into the lounge or garden area, so it’s very family friendly. Beer styles and flavors to please anyone. Brewery on site and visible from lounge. Neat concept !

Let’s start with the service is fantastic. The 253 Pilsner is my favorite when I want the have a few. Balls deep IPA is my favorite go to after a long day of work! It is nice to be able to meet friends last minute for a beer. There is always plenty of seating and the staff is very knowledgable and polite.

Fun atmosphere, the people are really nice. I’m not a beer drinker but there is always always a tasty cider on tap! Lots of room for everyone to sit and enjoy each other and a great place to meet new friends!

As a visitor to the state, I am very impressed with the quality craft beer and atmosphere here at 7 Seas Brewing Company. Everything from the nautical themed décor, to the ample indoor seating, to the outdoor beer garden creates a very welcoming and inviting atmosphere. The bar staff is very knowledgable and friendly, and willing to make sure you get the brew you want. They don’t offer any food for sale, though they do have complimentary mixed nuts and you can bring food in. This is definitely a place to visit if you are anywhere near the area!

You know I was reading reviews prior to coming here and I read a strange low review that mentioned children… I was thinking thats cool I think its cool that parents with young ones could still hit the town from time to time… I was wrong its weird. And I will point out the real weird part. Its not the 7 and under kids its the kids over 13 that make it weird. Now that is not to say the younger kids dont make it a little weird. I mean there is literally nothing for them to do. I guess if there was an arcade aspect or something it would be less weird. Oh well. Onto the beer. We grabbed a 8 beer flight for $ 10.00 and that is quite the deal. The beer was solid, the waitress was cool. I would definitely go back. With that being said the place was absolutely packed and we had to fight for seating, but their were like 3 parties happening at the same time. So i dont know if it is always like that. If we do make a trip over here again I imagine we will check 7 seas and if it is packed we will just go down the road to wet coast.

This is good place for a growler fill up. We only paid $ 11 for a growler of Ballz Deep, which is a delicious double IPA. They don’t serve food, but I saw people bringing food in. We were only there long enough to fill up the growler. Next time we’ll stick around and enjoy the ambiance. Seems like a chill place.

I moved from Gig Harbor to Los Angeles recently and we toured breweries all the way down the west coast when we made the jump. 7 seas really kills it. There were only a few places that came close, but 7 seas is definitely still at the top of my list. Keep it up.

There is definetly a following. IMO, it’s okay. I would give four stars for beer selection and quality but there are other things that bring the rating down. 1st off, what’s with the kids? We went tonight after work, 4:30 ish. There were about half as many kids as adults. I frankly do not want to hang out with children, and parents who want to get tossed and bring their kids while their doing that is disturbing. 2nd downside– the seating. Long tables to share with strangers. Not a fan. I don’t want to meet new people. I want to drink your beer. The fact that I can’t have a private conversation with my guest is a huge turn off. I understand there is limited space, but you could fit a lot two tops and four tops in there. 3rd issue– what’s with the f’n dogs? I’m not here to get sniffed upon. Dogs should not be allowed indoors, especially unleashed. These are not service animals and not everyone is pooch friendly. You obviously seem not to have fine tuned your business model, and it’s working so far, but you should really consider what is working for your customers, and what is not. I enjoy your beer but really do not want to hang out at your place for the reasons above. Granted, this location is a million times better than before, but the issues above were not issues then.

Best brewery on the peninsula! I live in San Diego county, CA, so I know my beer. Was in WA for my wife’s family reunion and did some beer tasting while we were there. 7-Seas has a solid lineup with every beer that I tried being a very nice example of the style. Nice tasting room that is relaxed and kid friendly. And I LOVE my hat! Thanks, Shannon(Queen of Quarts)!

The beer is pretty darn good, but I really really hate the fact that kids are allowed inside. For me, it totally kills the atmosphere. The fact that you can bring your own food inside is a great touch, though. I’m not in Gig Harbor a ton, but I’ll my best to visit this place when I am.

Man, these guys pretty much own Gig Harbor’s beer lovers, as well as a fair few beer lovers outside those city limits. I didn’t realize quite what a revolution they’d started in this corner of the sound until I saw their new location. They’ve even inspired a couple new breweries in the immediate vicinity(or, if not inspired them, they at least blazed a trail that others now follow). They’ve built the market to the point where they’re always packed, and there are still plenty of people who need a pint of beer, so the pie keeps getting bigger, leaving more for other business to slice. These guys started as a two-man operation a few years ago, not far from their current spot. They shipped kegs pretty quickly, and got into cans pretty quickly, and just as quickly, they built a steady following in their own neighborhood. As their orders increased, they looked for a bigger spot(though they were already big enough that you could point to dozens of little breweries making do in smaller spaces, with smaller systems). These guys make some popular beer. So they took over a big old retail space down in Old Town GH, not far from the marina. It’s a great buildout. They have a huge, high-ceilinged brewhouse where they can easily add and re-arrange equipment as needed, with a big grain silo out front clearly announcing their purpose to everybody who knows what a grain silo is. It’s a working silo, too – on brew day, you can hear the steady rattle of grain husks coming inside, ready to metabolize into delicious beer. The taproom is indoors and out; you walk past a big patio that’s packed with people on nice days. People at covered tables yesterday didn’t even give up their spots during a ferocious downpour. Inside, there are a half dozen big varnished hofbrau-style communal tables. You can clearly see through big picture windows into the brewhouse, and there are smaller rooms toward the back, along with t-shirt and hoodie displays. There’s a passable mix of work by local artists on the walls. The bar is big and spaciously designed, with big banks of taps at either end. They offer over a dozen beers, all made in house. They’ve really broadened and deepened the lineup, offering a nice variety of styles made with consistently high quality. I didn’t know what to make of them when they launched with some fairly predictable styles under corny juvenile PG-13 names. But their beers are serious now! They’re making good stuff and serving it at a fair-enough price. The staff here are good at their jobs, and they can answer basic questions about the beer cheerfully, but they’re definitely chosen for appearance rather than for being beer geeks. That’s alright – there are lots of good restaurant people out there who don’t also happen to be beer geeks, and the industry is big enough now that lots of good restaurant people are needed. I’ll always happily come back here and have a pint.

Great brewery brewin up tasty beers! The fam and I stopped by this past weekend since we had never visited. It was packed, as it was a sunny Saturday with some art festival going on in town. We were promptly helped and poured all of their seasonals as a flight. The seasonals seemed like a good choice since we have regularly had their flagships on tap at various places. Not a single one was a disappointment, in fact they were all awesome! 7 Seas obviously knows what they are doing, you can tell they have an experienced brew staff and they are crankin out some deliciousness. When in the area, which is rarely, we will definitely swing by!

GREAT brewery where you can comfortably sit and taste away, watch the brewers do their thing through a glass wall, then buy a pint at a goood price. They give you good salty mixed nuts in little cups, and there’s a food truck that pulls up out front. The dish I recall are nice warm, soft and chewy German pretzels with mustard and good spicy cheese sauce. The ONLY downside? That toll bridge to get there and back, from Tacoma. Might have to Kayak over when I’m feeling adventuresome. PS children are welcome.

Spent an afternoon at Point Defiance recently and followed it up with a quick Unilocal search for nearby breweries. This landed me across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and in a seat at 7 Seas Brewing. I couldn’t possibly have anticipated everything this Gig Harbor brewery had to offer. They had so many beers on tap that I had trouble deciding what to drink, genuinely. I opted to take a flight of their seasonals… minus one because, and this isn’t some tall pirate’s tale, they had nine of their own seasonals on tap. Lay it on me: Life Jacket Session, Amarillo Single Hop, Knotty English IPA, Depth Finder IRA, Reign Man ESB, Trident Triple IPA, Broken Mast Brown, and Chili Stout. Every last drop enjoyable with the exception of the Chili Stout which was in-your-face overly spiced up. The Knotty English and Reign Man stood out among their beer peers as especially flavorful offerings. Notes: They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating will make you think you’ve boarded a pirate ship, well-played kitschy cool. The outdoor seating is home to plenty of sun, a giant Jenga game, and is pet-friendly. They run their own food cart onsite called The Galley; I didn’t sample the bites available, but you should, because if it’s anything like the beer, it’s got to be good.

Out of all the breweries we’ve had the pleasure of visiting, this by far is my fave! I love the décor, I think that’s what makes me love it. You really do feel like you’re on an old pirate ship. The bar stools with«7 seas» stamped into them, the parrots, the big wheels… everything is just awesome! The beer is exceptional also! The brewery itself is fairly large, they have a big outdoor patio as well. Dogs are also welcomed, which I love! They have a variety of beers and also their own food truck that is out front.(I haven’t tried the food yet) the gals at the register were nice enough, all of them seemed a bit irritated but I won’t hold it against them. They have large windows that peer into the brewing area. It’s fun to see the guys go to work! All in all its a great place to stop and have a beer or five, and grab a bite to eat!

This was an awesome stop on a short trip to Gig Harbor! The brewery was lively with lots of patrons to talk to. The beer selection is fantastic, with some excellent craft beer choices. The brewery does not directly offer food, but they welcome bringing food in from outside. There’s a food vendor in the parking lot, or a board on the wall with about 30 places you can order from, some that will deliver right to the brewery! This is nice if you decide to order food after tossing back a few :) The bartender service was great and the lines moved fast! Both my wife and I each ordered a sampler of 8 beers so we could sample everything they had. I’ll drink about anything, but the Rude Parrot IPA is my favorite beer from 7 seas. It is a very flavorful IPA, and near the top of my new beer shopping list. If you are a beer lover and come are in Gig Harbor, come here! You won’t regret it!

I love the 7 seas brewing company. They are a great local gig harbor pub and brewery. The taproom is located in downtown gig harbor just a walk away from the water front. The taproom is filled with large picnic like tables and there is plenty of room for large parties. Their beer selection is huge and one of my favorites is the British pale ale. I docked one star because they don’t serve food, but they do let you bring any outside food in. Plus they have complimentary bar nuts. Whether you’re a long time local or just a weekend visitor this is a must visit.
