We came upon the Rupp House and museum on a small walk from a café to downtown G-burg. It was a historic site and building offering free tours and a museum… why not??? Therese was welcoming and the period dressed man inside was also very engaging. They gave a quick intro and told us and the kids how everything worked. I’ve been to many places that were good on the outside with not so much content but this place was great. Beautifully done, interactive and my 12 and 8YO girls had a great time with the scavenger hunt for which they got a prize upon completing correctly! We learned a lot about citizen life during the war and what these people went through. A great way to spend 30 – 60 minutes or more and get some fun education. I was amazed at all the artifacts and displays they had for not even charging an admission but I definitely left a donation for the place as it is run by volunteers.
