We had a great experience at this location. Service was quick and server(Clinton) was very friendly and polite. We brought our two young children in with us and he was very accommodating and patient. We will definitely be dinning here again.

They successfully managed a party of 18 with 10 minutes’ notice. They were courteous and organized, despite the chaos of 9 kids. Pretty cool at a busy national park.(Thank you, Nicole! Great job!)

Because the Friendly’s in Ohio have all closed, my mother was thrilled that this Gettysburg’s location was still open! The food was good, ice cream was great, our server Carrie was awesome. My biggest problem was another server that continued to sing Rosanne Barr– style to the music that was playing in the restaurant. She’d leave the eating area(barely) then SCREAM the lyrics to the current song. It was beyond annoying… There wasn’t a recognizable manager on duty to tell as the servers were seating people and cashing people out. So my ears needed to bleed all the way through dessert because she wouldn’t shut up! Otherwise it was great to be able to have a Fribble again!

TERRIBLE!!! Dining area was very dirty, the waitress took forever to wait on us and there was a Hair about 2 inches long attached to my cheese waffle fries. They did comp my meal but hair in food is so so disgusting. Choose another place.

Order the bacon cheeseburger and fries special. My meal came out cold and sent it back. Fries came out hot but the burger came out cold with a greasy bun. Unfit to eat. Told the waiter who could careless. He seems to be in another world. He never even ask for refills on drink. Never even asked me if I wanted to talk to a manger. Totally a bad experience.

Great service and delicious breakfast. Coffee is a bit weak for me, however, there’s a Starbucks nearby! Server was super nice and friendly.

I can’t speak to the food here at this location, although I’ve always been a fan of the excellent value that is offered especially for kids. But this location is special because of their commitment to customer service. This morning I lost something that was important to me and they were able to retrieve it. Getting it back really made me feel a lot better so I want to commend the good folks at this Friendly’s location.

Do any of the following apply to you: Not a vegan? Have no idea what a «foodie» is? Don’t worry about reading nutrition labels? Could care less about of the cleanliness of your dining environment? If this speaks to you then coming to Friendly’s in general is a great idea and this location is perfect because they don’t care about any of that stuff either. More or less everything on the menu is in some capacity fried, cheesed, batter dipped or over sauced/mayoed to kingdom come. It also needs to be mentioned that things are easily a good 20% overpriced which is why it’s idiotic to ever eat at any location without some type of kids eat free-15% off-20% off-$ 3 off of $ 15 spent coupon, etc. We rolled in on a Sunday afternoon last month and the place was packed. There was a small group waiting to be seated but every usable seat was taken. Notice how I said useable seat. That would be because around ¼ of the tables were left dirty as the place was badly understaffed in terms of servers and those same servers I guess were also expected to bus their own tables/vacuum the floors in their spare time. Forget South Carolina, it looked like Sherman and his men had sacked part of the dining room. After finally ordering, the food took over thirty minutes until everything was finally rendered which is ridiculous as nothing here is exactly Michelin Star quality in terms of flavor or in terms of complexity. Our server was nice and she was highly apologetic but she looked something like Scooby Doo from the original cartoon where his tail was tied together yet he was trying to go four directions at the same time as she tried to cover all her tables which were spread out over a large area not to mention trying to clear empty tables and push vacuum the floor. On a sidebar, the food was the typical least common denominator stuff that you would expect here so no stars added or deducted in this area but either way the wait was way too long and between being understaffed and dirty it equals a no-go for us in the future.

Sort of a disappointment. The service was fine. I came here for breakfast with my mom and dad who are visiting from out of town and we are touring the Gettysburg area. We ordered the Big Two breakfast and let me tell you… That was barely one egg(and it was listed as extra large eggs). The two strips of bacon were thin and tiny. The breakfast potatoes are delicious but they give you such a small portion for $ 2.79, you could fit the potatoes on a coaster. The music sucks and it’s loud when you are trying to wake up. It’s a family restaurant… Why blast party music at 9:00 am?

I did not like this place. I was visting Gettysburg and was going to eat at General Picketts Buffet but they were closed so I came here. It was horrible! The french fires and chicken finger were way too spicy for me, but the milkshake was alright. 2.5 stars.

The food was okay, nothing special. It wasn’t busy at all, only a few tables here and there but we got stuck in the alcove with a large group of teens. The noise was so bad, due to the acoustics in that little area, that we got the rest of our meal to go. Our waitress was nice, but usually on the other side of the restaurant where other tables were. We were the only ones placed by the loud party and it was probably due to the fact we had a wheelchair. Because of that I won’t go back here.

This place has zero care for race, ethnicity, or members of LGBT Soldiers. I was out right disrespected by the manager and staff here. The ticket time was 90 mins. Then they charge half my troops for their food. This place needs a new staff immediately. Soldiers that have served their country didn’t get the respect that was deserved let alone the regulate patrons. Horrible service!

Took a trip to Gettysburg from NYC, and found this GEM right in the middle of the civil war battle fields! Friendly staff and great quality fresh local breakfast food. Seems like a stretch for a food chain, but no diner in NYC can compare. Very satisfied!

This definitely an east coast place. We decided to come to this place after adventuring the sacred Gettysburg. To re-live/learn our US history. There wasn’t much choices to dine at in Gettysburg. This place is open late. Fair-cheap priced food items. I ordered chicken salad. It was decent. A good portion. Then ordered a 3 scoop sundae, which was refreshing and cheap! My favorite part of the meal! 3 stars for the friendly service and being open late.

Rarely have breakfast out. Places like Friendly are why. Omelet was bland. Cheap Sausage used. Potato was not good. Toast was simply the cheapest bread that could be found and was half buttered. The only thing this meal was good for was management. Serving $ 4 worth of food for close to $ 20. Save your money.

9÷2÷2013 The décor is diner, 50’s or 60’s. Many kids, families, old people, teens, local and tourist, The food is basic and decent. The price is good. The service was friendly, a bit slow, but adequate. We didn’t have any of the ice cream that Friendly’s is known for. The fish and chips I had were good, but nothing special. I could have used a drink refill, but it wasn’t until near the end of the meal that I was offered one.

Decent food, Friendly staff(ha!) but SLOW. We have eaten at this Friendlys before, as it is half way between us and my family, so a good place to meet for a meal in one of our favorite towns. We never had problems before but we went in yesterday and the service was ridiculously slow. We did have a large party(10) but the place was only half full, so there is no way it should have taken 2.5 hours to get out of there. Even for a party of 10, two and a half hours is ridiculous. So here’s my thought… if you are not in a hurry this place is fine. Decent food(or what you would expect anyhow), nice people, including the manager, but if you are looking for a place to eat between tourist attractions and don’t want to be forever, you might want to find another place. Ps: if you have kids, go on Thursday night… the balloon blower is AMAZING.

Great service, the waiter helped navigate us around Gettysburg. The food was really good. I ordered a cup of chicken noodle, and the waiter accidentally brought me a bowl and told me my cup became a bowl and I wouldn’t be charged extra. All of us had ice cream after, the main reason for going here. I was introduced to Friendly’s when I was in Myrtle Beach and have loved it ever since. They even had a «happy ending sundae.» I refused to be that asian cliché by ordering it. :) Not far from the National Military Museum and Park.

I don’t know what reviewer A L.‘s problem was and the fact she assumed about not being properly served because she’s in an interracial relationship? Just for the record: I’m WHITE with an ASIAN spouse and we were both treated properly at this establishment by a BLACK server. Race has NOTHING to do with service from this place. The regular food is ok, but there are better places to dine. Friendly’s ice cream is awesome– go there for the dessert. I usually go there or Bruster’s down on 116 whenever I visit my parents. I went tonight to support a neighbor’s HS soccer team and have no complaints about the service. So no, it has nothing to do with race or if you are in an interracial relationship. Just sayin’!

I would give them no stars if I could. We came to eat here after a long day and our waitress took out drink orders. 10 minutes later we finally got our drinks(water and ice tea) and she took our orders. For the next 40 minutes no one brought us food, our waitress did not check on us(40 minutes!!!), and even went as far as to avoid our table and eye contact when we tried to ask her what was holding up our food. We are a really friendly family so this was kind of ridiculous. As mentioned we were tired, so we waited awhile with no complaints, but after her looking at us and walking away when we called her the third time, we got up ready to leave. She tried to blame the kitchen and the busy night(only half the restaurant was full) but the fact is she avoided us purposely for 40 minutes, didn’t check drinks, anything… I would have respected it more had she come and said there was a problem.
