Was in town for business overnight and wanted something other than fast food… so I popped in this place on a locals recommendation. I bellied up to the bar, as I normally do, and quickly scoped out the local beer selection and was not disappointed! I then moved to the food menu, which was kind of all over the place from calzones to burgers… even though the menu didn’t have a theme, the chili did and that theme was delicious! It was a cold night, so I stuck with just the chili and a few local brews to warm me up, and was not disappointed with either! Overall, it was a decent place, nice and efficient staff, decent bar fare and an excellent beer selection. If back in the area I will definitely make another pass through.

We went to this restaurant based on the recommendation of a friend, and oh my gosh. I’m so glad we listened. We spent the day at the battlefield, and were starving. When we walked in there was a pretty lengthy wait, but they let us know we could sit at the bar and have dinner if we wanted. We decided do that so we could cram some food in our faces faster that way. The atmosphere was fun and lively, and it made me jealous that we didn’t have this place at home to enjoy. They brew not only several types of beers, but also their own root beer and coke. We had to try the root beer of course, and a couple of their yummy spicy beers as well. Now, the amazing part, we both ordered variations of the pulled pork. Holy God, it was freaking amazing. I mean seriously, this is a brewing company, how is this possible. Their BBQ was better than any actual BBQ restaurant I have been to in my life! My bun was so buttery and light and just NOM. They said the secret is that they use their brewed root beer as the base for their BBQ! No wonder. Good Lord, I want to drive back to PA just to eat there again. They said they would be closing this location after Jan 1 because someone had purchased the land or something? I can’t recall but I asked if we could just throw the place on a flat bed and move it to Ohio, in my backyard. If we had one here, I know me and my honey would frequent it much more often than we should. We would have to get a job there just so we could afford it, because all of our paycheck would just be handed over for pulled pork sandwiches and pumpkin spice beer… Ok, I’m rambling, but you get it right? If you like BBQ, then go!!! OMG. Seriously.

Great food and surprisingly good beers! I had the Hog Wild pulled pork sandwich and their IPA, my wife had the blackened chicken salad and the Stout. Kids liked the Mac n cheese and sliders. Kid friendly and very reasonably priced.

The food was fine, if just your basic bar food, and the beer is solid(there were almost twenty beers on tap). Our bartender was fantastic as well. The downside of our experience was getting seated. We arrived at about 7:00 on a Saturday night, which is admittedly a bad time to go out for dinner, but the experience of trying to get a table was pretty much out of control. There were three of us, and we were quoted a wait time of 45 – 60 minutes, which given our lack of reservations wasn’t unreasonable. After a few minuted we decided to grab a couple beers from the bar, but skipped sitting at the bar because we were only three or four from the top of the list. Big mistake. Those 45 – 60 minutes became 90 minutes and we were still two or three from the top. At that point we decided to just grab seats at the bar and eat there, but we left our names on the list to see how long it would take for them to be called. The answer? Nearly two hours after we arrived. I don’t have a problem with them being so busy that the wait at a peak time like 7:00 on Saturday is 90 minutes or longer, but you’ve got to be better about conveying the wait time. If they’d told us it was going to be 90 minutes, we’d have gone elsewhere, instead we were told 45 – 60 minutes and then we just sat there like chumps. Based on the visible grinding of teeth around us in the waiting area, I’d say we weren’t the only ones getting bad estimates either. Ultimately the food was fine and the beer was cold and delicious, but they need to get a better handle on how they handle reservations and walk-ins.

This is our second time at this brew pub and it is amazing. The beers have local character, the food is out of this world grub, and the service is amazing. Our bartender, Mandy, was extremely attentive and friendly. She also knew the hot spots to hit in town during our visit to the battlefield. What a great experience!

I was staying at the Wyndham across the street from the ABC, my girlfriend and I grabbed a late dinner after watching a movie at R/C Gateway 8 movie theater. It’s conveniently located in between both locations. ABC has a decent selection of their own craft beers and the food is delicious at the right price, it’s a bar and grill menu so don’t expect a filet mignon with all the fancy trimmings but way above any fast food restaurant. Nothing to write home about but not a pits. Recommend for a good beer and a quick lunch/dinner.

Stopped her while traveling. We always enjoy the beer because we have been to ABC in Harrisburg as well. The wait staff was a little slow but friendly and happy. They had just started celebrating Oktoberfest so the music ad special menu was enjoyable. I had the fish and chips and although not the best for the diet, it was really good. Husband had the Caprese panini and he enjoyed it. We will return to ABC whether it be Harrisburg or Gettysburg.

Really good beer, friendly efficient staff. Pork BBQ was dry and tough, bun like day old bread, perogies were not too good, mushy but brats were good, flavorful and tender. All in all, just OK. Won’t go back.

We ended up booking ABC for our rehearsal dinner, Courtney was my main contact and she was AWESOME! Every time I emailed she would get back to be promptly and my phone calls were always returned within one business day. She was very flexible with all of the changes that needed to be made and had a great attitude! As a bride I really appreciated how helpful she was. The food was good and well planned according to what everyone got. Big thanks to ABC for making our wedding events great :)

Have to be honest — Gettysburg is a small town known for their historic battlefields. Having said that, if you are looking for places to eat that’s vegetarian friendly — that’s going to be a challenge. Fortunately we found this bar/grill restaurant that catered for the vegs! It had a large menu with your typical burger choice limited to black bean patties. However you can customize the burger patty into another burger style like the Fire burger! This style has the party combined with jalapeños and spicy aioli. There are also options of having quesadilla and such but I found the burger to be the ideal winner in this case.

This review is for the beer, because we never got around to the food. What better way to spend the 4th of July than hiking the Appalachian Trail while drinking Appalachian beer? The bartender let us try several different beers on tap, and we stayed and enjoyed his company for a few rounds. We then picked up a variety 12-pack to go and loved trying what the brewery had to offer. My favorites were the Water Gap Wheat and the Mountain Lager, but we also liked the Hoppy Trails IPA. My only regret is that I didn’t try the stout — maybe in the fall when we come back!

Great service and great beer selection. Tons of seating and not too crowded, as opposed to places in downtown that are super packed. Nice expanded sports bar menu. Better food then you would expect from a brewery

Chose this Resturant because it was next my motel. Food was pretty good, had the fish and chips and their Mountain Lager. Service was a little slow but overall friendly. Prices are not bad. They have all sorts for beers brewed in Their own brewery. Overall a pleasant experience.

This is the only real brewpub in Gettysburg, so it gets 5 stars. Service and seating were FAST and polite. The place was SPOTLESS — I mean really clean. The atmosphere was … kinda off, but whatever. Food was served quickly and portions were on the bigger side. They need to work on their pizza … The pub food is pretty solid overall … 3 stars by DC/NoVA standards, 5 stars elsewhere. IF you’re in Gettysburg … you’ll appreciate this place. Highly recommended.

Maybe the two of us just aren’t that picky but this place had excellent food and excellent beer. I read the bad reviews before this, curious as to what complaints people would have since we couldn’t find any and it sounds like many are a little too serious about what their beer tastes like. I get it. it’s a brewery. but jesus, where are you from? The Beer Planet? Get a life! We sat at the bar and the waitress told us she was afraid to tell us what cask beer was because people become offended when she begins to explain some beers to them. Scary people in this world. Any way, the food was SOGOOD. We had the pierogis(melt in your mouth), the chili(mm so spicy) and the steak/portobello salad(tasty and huge). I had the dark Batch 666 beer and it tastes like Founders Breakfast Stout. Such a perfect night!
