Excellent Q, not doubt about it. Ribs were perfect tenderness but lacking flavor. Needed more seasoning. Wings were amazing. Pork rib chili was delish. Brisket was very good, though a bit dry and needed more seasoning. Pork shoulder was tender but again needed more seasoning. We also ate their specials which were the real treat. The lamb chops were wonderful, perfectly done and spiced just right. But in my opinion the best thing was the pork chops. Perfection… nothing less. Done to perfection and perfectly seasoned. Good bite, perfect tenderness and had the right zip. Service was very accommodating. A great evening/feast. In my humble opinion the best Q in CT!

A fantastic BBQ joint with great entrees. What separates them from other BBQ I’ve had is the sides. They are not just an afterthought like most places. Rather than call ahead I like to order there and have a drink while I wait. The owner and staff are down to earth which isn’t that common in this area.

When I am having that BBQ craving that I gotta get some, the Wire Mill is my top choice for sure. Consistent, delicious, generous are three reasons why I keep returning. No craziness in the name, no silly song and dance or frills that distract from the truth. It’s barbaque people! And it is some of the best any one can get in the area. There is a lot of pride here that you can taste. I am a fan for the Wire Mill’s ribs, they are delicious. There is a lot of pride here and no lies. The choice is clear here.

Best BBQ around and great service. Love the fire pit as well as the atmosphere inside. The menu is simple but totally hits the spot. The meat is so tasty without the bbq sauce but the sauces add to the experience.

Gino and his staff have great BBQ offerings. Need to try the BBQ fries. Highly recommended.

We recently heard about this place and although it’s a bit far from Westport, decided to try it. So glad we did! The food is amazing, the place is warm and friendly and the service really personable. Even my picky eater enjoyed, and the desserts were also to die for. It’s heavy & comfy food, done the best way.

The best BBQ I’ve had in Connecticut. Love the atmosphere, and they have pretty good wine and beer. I’ve eaten here a number of times, and always like the food. The pulled pork is my favorite and their sides are great. I’ve also just stopped by for drinks. Last night I just sat outside by the fire pit with a beautiful glass of red wine as I waited for my daughter who was at karate next store. The only complaint is that the quarters are pretty small when they don’t have access to the outside patio. Last night I actually wanted to sit by the bar, but couldn’t because there was no room.

Food was absolutly great. Pulled pork melted in my mouth with flavor. We sat outside — great patio. Waitstaff was friendly BUT very inattentive. Bbq sauce squeezers on table were sticky and covered in sauce from the previous people. I will still come back.

Not worth the wait. Long wait with rude staff and fatty pork. That’s not what I call good bbq We won’t be back.

I pretty much NEVER give five stars. But this place deserves it. I regularly drive by this place around dawn. Gino, whom I’ve only recently met, and his team are out loading wood into their massive outdoor barbecue. The food is just great. No nonsense delicious barbecue. I particularly like the smoked sausage with multiple home made sauces.

I have never been so rudely treated in a restaurant before as I was here. After waiting for a half hour in the rain on their patio, our name was up on the waitlist and the hostess told us she could not seat us in the booth available because there was only 3 of us in our party. All that said to me was they only want to seat bigger parties to make more money. I’ll never go there again even though I live 2 minutes from there. VERY rude, VERY unprofessional.

Arrived on Sat eve about 630 on a rainy eve. Was already starting to get busy, waitlisted for a half hour. When our table came open was told by hostess she could not seat our party of three in booth. Four only. Wont be back and we live accross the street.

Have been recommending this place to all that will listen to me. Great food overall and the smoked wings are wonderful. Have been there at least 6 times now. But, last night the ribs were dry. Should have sent them back, but took the high road. I should so that the chef knows what he is putting out and can improve. I guess everyone can have a bad day on occasion.

Great BBQ; not slathered in sauce to hide mediocre meats. I’ve never had a bad meal eating in or for take away. Equal to or sometimes better than Bobby Q’s in Westport. Always seems to be busy with table seating and a full bar. Well worth the trip.

The staff was overwhelmed even though it wasn’t that busy. My wife and I both ordered the pulled pork which had more fat on it than I have ever seen at a restaurant(I go to a lot of bbq). They did have a good homemade vinegar based bbq sauce, other than that nothing worth coming back for. They even ran out of ice and everyone there had lukewarm drinks.

Very good bbq joint. My wife and I took a drive here to check it out. I did a search online for the best bbq in CT and this place showed up a few times in the ranking. To be honest, the reason I chose Wire Mill over all the others was because of their logo. Kudos to whoever came up with that! I’m a sucker for good design. But back to the real story here — BBQ. It was delicious. The brisket and pulled pork was fantastic. Next time I’m down in Fairfield county I will definitely be stopping there. My only complaint was I found the cole slaw to be a bit too salty and not at all sweet. It wasn’t bad, just was an unexpected flavor.

We were in the general area for a Floorball tournament in February and one of our team members recommended this awesome restaurant to us. It was worth the 20 or so minute drive from our hotel because the food was outstanding as was the service by all the staff and owner. I’m not normally a big sausage fan but the homemade ones here were perfect! Great pulled pork, even better ribs and to die for mac and cheese! We enjoyed sipping a beer on the outdoor patio at the fire pit as we waited for our table. A great experience! We’ll be back if we are in the area, that’s for sure.

We have been to Wire Mill twice. I am not a fan of the usual sauce-saturated food most barbecue places serve, so Wire Mill’s food is right up my alley. I really like their wings and pulled pork — both were super juicy and tender, although I would prefer a bit more rub besides just the smoke. In my experience however, the brisket was quite dry. I find what is lacking for me at this restaurant is the service. Despite only having one other table at lunch this weekend, it took us 10 minutes to get our drinks(my husband ordered a draught beer), probably because the waitress was too busy chatting with the rowdy table in the corner for several minutes. In addition, my drink, while quite tasty, was EXTREMELY short(see photo for reference) especially for $ 9.50 each — I was basically served half a martini. When I raised this issue to the waitress, all she did was giggle. The woman in the table next to me got the same drink and half pour and, not coincidentally, joined me in not ordering a refill. They also had to be prompted to bring me cornbread, a side always included with a combo platter. Very disappointing service for a place whose food is otherwise quite tasty.

Wire Mill BBQ is located just north of Wilton’s Cannondale and south of Redding is the small area known as Georgetown. This cute section of town has several restaurants and bars, and it is Wire Mill that is filling the air with the wonderful aroma of its two meat smoker. For those with the window closed, Wire Mill BBQ is located on Route 57 at the Interception of Old Mill Road and Main Street. There are eight table outside on the terrace and you continue inhaling the smoke. So enticing that when I ordered the Three Sliders(one each of the pulled pork, brisket and pulled chicken), I also ordered a ¼ slab of baby back ribs. The three sliders arrived, and the first item I noticed was the amount of meat on each bun. It was a meager portion, maybe one-ounce of meat. The bun was nicely grilled. The pulled pork was my favorite. It was somewhat moist, with a hint of smoke, but otherwise flavorless. It needed one of the sauces. The brisket was probably 1 slice, cut into sections and placed on the bun. There was a little smokiness that stayed on the palate but also lacked any flavor and sauce was needed. My first bite of the chicken was favorable, it was the moistest of the three meats, but that was limited to the original piece. The other pieces were dry and again, the only flavor was smoke. The other issue with all of the sandwiches was the amount of bread compared to meat. Take together it was a mouthful of bread with a little meat. I finally removed the top bun and ate each open-faced. The sliders were served with a small cup of horseradish sauce, which was full of flavor, but I have no idea why it was included. The baby back ribs looked delicious, but looks can be deceiving. They were incredibly moist, but again lack any flavor, barely able to taste any of the rub. Even the end piece of the slab, which was covered in rub, was almost flavorless. Overall, as much as this is a cute place with great service and two smokers out back, it is not a destination place for BBQ.

Geno and Matthew have a fantastic set up! Casual and cozy with some funky but comfortable furniture. Food wS great! I had Collard greens cole slaw and pulled pork. My partner had Fried okra. Sweet patio fries and pulled pork and ribs. Classic sauce was my favorite… my partner likes the honey BBQ. Only compliant is that they ran out of beef brisket… I will be back… Matt
