The portions are tiny for how much they charge, the waitress forgot a lot, overall the food was good and the live music was really nice but now we are off to find dinner part two after spending $ 45 for only two entrees.

Fantastic! Small, charming space with a great view of the mountains through the front windows. I had the penne with roasted tomatoes– suuuper fresh and amazing. Would definitely recommend this place if you’re passing through Georgetown.

Nice to have a place with live entertainment for a weekend date night. The artichoke dip was SOSO good but dinner left something to be desired. Overall it was ok. The service was great, very friendly and a nice locals vibe. You kind of instantly feel like friends with everyone dining here. After a couple glasses of wine I’m sure it will will like the best dinner ever!

Nice local place, with friendly and accommodating waitress. Other than us, it was 2 – 3 tables of locals and 3 locals at the five person bar who were each having dinner. Everyone was chatting and knew each other! It was like the little Italian restaurants of my youth. Bottles of Chianti in the little basket-bottles, checkered laminated tablecloths. Nice music going. Limited menu of 5 – 6 pasta dishes with either chicken, shrimp, meatball, or sausage available. I had the lasagne at the waitress’ suggestion. Wow — it was massive! I mean massive. Easily six inches square, with a little extra in the big bowl up against the side. Very tasty and mild comfort food. Husband had the spicy penne pasta with chicken. It had lots of fresh spinach and chunks of cut up chicken breast, oregano flavor, some chopped tomatoes(not a red sauce, more light). Also massive. Mine was $ 13 – 14, his was $ 15 I think. Both came with cup of soup or salad. All in all, a solid choice, comfy casual local atmosphere, good service, prompt, and tasty. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back!

My boyfriend and I stayed in Georgetown for a weekend. We are from Chicago and have been to many Italian restaurants and this is hands down one of my favorites ever. The food was incredible. Everything was authentic Italian food. The service was great. Everyone was super friendly, even the customers. They knew almost everyone that walked in the door and, if they didn’t, they made you feel like they did. The portions were great and the prices were awesome. We would absolutely stay in Georgetown again simply for this place. Can’t wait to visit again and go.

Very pleasant experience. Claire C. and my father and I stopped in for a late lunch on our way over Guanella Pass and I am pleased we did. Troia’s feels like a home town kind of place with small tables scattered through out the dining room. I know it hasn’t been around since the 20s but it does have a bit of that feel to it. We all ordered sandwiches(I ordered the best one!) which come with a side of fries, salad or pasta. The fries were very tasty(which I ordered, win again) however, there wasn’t much blue in the blue cheese dressing for the salads. That being said the salads did look pretty tasty with a nice pickled pepper. I ordered the Italian #1 which was a good size and reminded me of hoagies I would get in New Jersey when visiting my extended family. When the sandwich came out I was worried I wouldn’t be able to close it for all the ingredients inside but after some skillful folding on my part was able to wrestle the bad boy into shape. It had a great sauce on it like oil, vinegar and some other flavor I can’t put my finger on. Claire’s sausage sandwich was a good looking affair which she proclaimed was the best order at the table.(Of course we already know I ordered the best thing so there is no need to pay her claim much heed) The red sauce was particularly good. I may or may not have snuck a taste off her plate. Lastly, my father ordered a meatball sandwhich which he was happy with but made no such claims of superior ordering like Claire C did. I think Toria’s will be a restaurant that I will hold in my back pocket for some day in the future when there is a cranky out of towner who just can’t sit in traffic any more. Then I will pull off into Georgetown and up to a delightful Italian meal in the heart of the Colorado Mountains. Its a good card to be able to play.

DELIZIOSO! Le me tradition è So parlor. Paradiso in terra. My Dad said if I am ever in Georgetown I had to stop by and eat here. Well Pops has never steered me wrong and he was right on THEMONEY. So good. Everythingis Fresh and made here. From the house dressing on the salad with their olive butter to the Alfredo upon their home made linguine, dancing on the palate. Met the owner, Tracy, she is on the MOVE. Talk about a women who aims to please and she did just that. Love the food, the atmosphere, THEVIEW from the window seat and the personality of everyone working here. Hey the house bread, FORGETABOUTIT, DANGA! If you are a local, you’re lucky pop in at least once a week. If your passing through town, this is s must. Bona petite.

Headed to or from the Mountains on 70? Stop here. Pass the restaurants at the Georgetown exit and go into town to Troia’s. Unexpectedly excellent Italian food. Great pastas with just the right seasonings. Limited menu, but enough great choices at reasonable prices, in a small spot with pleasant service. Try it. You’ll like it.

I have come to expect less in small mountain towns and understandably so. Business is just tougher in these locations. I can say I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I had a craving for lasagna and they delivered, big time. Huge portion and very tasty.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I came in here. We were looking for a café, for some coffee and snacks and this seemed like the only one in old Georgetown since it says café. The town itself is old fashioned and this was the feel of the restaurant too. The service was good. We ordered the Artichoke dip and it was delicious! it came with cut baguette bread. We also ordered taramisu and cannoli(desserts available which were not on the menu, but we asked) the cannoli was small portion but delicious. The desserts seemed home made as well. Very tasty.

Good Italian food restaurant in historic downtown Georgetown. I stopped in after driving on the beautiful Guanella Pass Road and ordered the homemade Lasagna. The portion was BIG and I had to take half home afterwards. Since it was Friday, a local Guitar musician played classical melodies for the patrons. Service was very friendly and fast and I believe the owner was our waitress. This was my second stop at Troia’s and the only concern I have is depending on day of the week and time, the wait staff tends to pay more attention to locals sitting at the bar. This trip was definitely a better experience but based upon other people’s reviews about wait staff I feel the owner needs to fix this issue.

This place was recommended to us by a longtime local so we were excited to eat here. The place is teeny but smells amazing. Can’t say the same for the staff. We immediately felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. We stood in the middle of the room and the only person who was kind to us was a customer! He got a table and chairs set up for us but the older waitress seemed to care less, almost like we were inconveniencing her by coming to dine there. I am a restaurant manager, I’m thinking they desperately need me to come in and show them what customer service looks like and how to execute it! Unless you enjoy being humiliated just pass this place on by!

This turned out to be our THIRD choice for lunch in Georgetown, after discovering Euro Grill didn’t open for lunch(or during the week?) and the Tea Room had an event going on. We were even more chagrined to discover that there was only ONE slightly desperate employee working that day, but stayed because we didn’t want to make another decision. Slightly Desperate Employee was a rock star, dashing madly around attempting to serve and cook for two tables that were finishing up and three tables that had just sat down. Fortunately the place was tiny and felt more like someone’s living room than a restaurant, and no one else came in while we were there to add to her chaos. She got all of our orders right, something bigger restaurants have failed at, and so far as I could tell got the other tables all correct, too. We didn’t feel we were waiting too long, either. We all ordered subs, and they were a good size for lunch, not ridiculously large, but also not disturbingly small. The bread was dense and crunchy. Water was served in glass bottles at the table, but the water glasses were rather small. We’ll likely stop by again, and hopefully she’ll have backup next time!

Troia’s is my favorite restaurant in Georgetown. I stayed in Georgetown twice this past year and both times dined at Troia’s(as well as all the other restaurants in town — not a difficult feat as I believe there’s 4 total: P). The ambiance is lovely, it’s super warm and cozy in there and I think it’s fitting for either a date or with your family, both of which I’ve done. The service is very friendly and homey and the food has always been delicious. The shared pasta plates are perfect for a family and also very price friendly — $ 30 for a huge plate that would feed 3 – 4 + it comes with a salad. Their wine list is small but comprehensive and the bread and butter are warm and constantly refilled. I’m very happy with Troia’s and will continue to dine there each time I am in Georgetown!

FIVE stars? Was I hallucinating, in a coma, or did I miss the entrance to this place? At first glance, things seemed kind of charming and quirky but upon further inspection the poorly painted yellow walls, the dirty carpet and the cheap run down plastic tablecloths changed those initial perceptions in a hurry. The menu was SO limited with all entrees pasta centric. Spaghetti, penne, Alfredo, lasagne, meatballs were the highlights, and the shrimp scampi a special for the night. As soon as our salads arrived I knew we were in trouble — all iceburg lettuce with cold, hard tasteless tomatoes. The side of sliced bread was doughy, with no tell tale crisp crust and no flavor. My scampi had a gratin dish with the shrimp and about 8 large pieces of broccoli on the supporting plate. The server explained that my pasta was coming out shortly. When it arrived I was perplexed. The penne was in a very small cereal type bowl. There was no way to really integrate the shrimp with the pasta. The biggest faux pas here was that the penne was overcooked. Really? The garlic was nasal clearing, but not in a good way. The poor shrimp were completely engulfed in the over the top butter sauce. After«playing» with my food for what seemed like a long time, I glanced at my husband and saw a perplexing look on his face. He offered me a bite of his pasta with chicken, garlic, and spinach, and it was tasteless. Both of us left most of our meals uneaten. Funny that the server did not ask why. I am sorry to write such a disappointing review on this place, but there was not one aspect of this dinner that was positive. We left hungry. Enough said.
