My mom and I have been going to Tip to Toe since I was about 5; I’m now almost 20. Linda does an excellent job every time I go to her for a mani pedi! She charges $ 24 for shellac and I only go to her for my shellac. She knows what she’s doing and I have never been disappointed with my manicures or pedicures! Highly recommend her :)

I got a gift card from there, I have tried to make an appointment but has been difficult, they only provide services a few days a week, hope to get to use it soon.

WORSTSALONEXPERIENCEEVER… DONOTGOHERE! I recently went here with my sister for a manicure and pedicure. The woman who owns the place did our nails. She was very rude and unprofessional. She was angry that I had shellac nail polish on and didn’t think she would have enough time to finish both our manicures and pedicures before her next client came(even though we had an appointment). She proceeded to say that«Asian salons» that do shellac manicures often use gel instead and lie to their clients. She rushed through our manicures and pedicures. As she was finishing up she said«Phew.I think we are going to make it ladies» like I should be concerned about her time schedule. I felt like we were a burden to her. I grew up in Georgetown and this was my first(and last) time going to Tip to Toe. I think those«Asian salons» do a much better job!

Tip to Toe is a wonderful nail salon! Its not high end so you feel much more comfortable and at home when you walk in. You are always offered a friendly hello and a smile when you arrive. My mom has been going here since they opened over 20 years ago and I myself have been coming here for years now for mani’s, pedi’s, waxing and the occasional facial(I even used to have my birthday parties here as a teenager, it’s always fun to get pampered). I have always been happy with the service and with the staff. Fast, effecient and fabulous! Great place I highly reccomend it!

I went to this place twice in the past 2 years. The pedicure was a waste and as far as nails, they do acrylics by hand. In other words they sand down your nails with an emery board. For pedicures they use a portable foot bath like I have at home. I should have done my own pedicure. The woman basically went through the motions of washing my feet, taking off the old polish and putting on new. Nothing like the service one gets at an Asian salon. I thought the first time was a fluke, so I tried it again and the experience was no better. At the time I had acrylic nails, and this one heavy set lady in shorts yelled out«I’m not doing acrylic nails» in a loud voice. Granted it was hot, but I was so turned off again the second time when I walked in and ladies who don’t belong in shorts were prancing around like teenagers. I truly wish I could say something nice about this place. The tacky neon letters in the window front say it all as far as I’m concerned. I feel bad about having to write this as I like to see small businesses thrive. My suggestion to them is to get a little more professional. The place feels like someone’s living room during a slumber party. I will say I used to go in and buy some of their costume jewelry and got some nice pieces but because of my last experience I don’t even want to set foot back in the place. I’m giving it 2 stars just because others found it a nice experience, but truthfully, both of my experiences were a 1 star. I was actually very upset the last time I was in because the women working there barely said anything to me as they gossiped away. This place totally misses on customer service and professionalism. I dumped over $ 100 in this place for what I consider a crappy home style mani and pedi. I want to go to a quiet or fun spa like place with soothing or upbeat music. If the people working there want to chatter away, at least they can include the customer and make it fun.

I love it here! Have my nails and waxing done by Andrea, she is great. She knows how to properly and thoroughly wax without much discomfort. Friendly, cheerful, helpful, and always does a splendid job. Flexible scheduling and affordable rates. Also, the gift shop selections are widely varied and reasonably priced — I have often made last-minute purchases there. EDIT: Andrea isn’t there anymore, so I don’t go anymore :[

Tip to Toe is a cute little nail salon that has evolved over the years into a gift shop and massage/facial place as well. Linda, the owner, is always there and is very nice and accommodating. They do a very good job with nails and have a very comfortable environment. It is not a top end salon where they pamper you, but it isn’t one of the quick and uncomfortable mall nail salons, either. Nice balance there. My mother has been going to years and likes how fast and efficient they are. For nails, I agree that fast and efficient is great. If we are talking about pedicures, however, I am a bigger fan of taking a litle bit longer and not taking any shortcuts. If you need a lot of buffing/trimming and surgery, so to speak, you may be a little disappointed with the pedi here. I suppose you could always specify that you are looking for a little bit more love on your feet and see how they do. Overall this is a great little friendly and local place that you feel good about supporting.
