My favourite bar in town! Smoking is allowed which is nice. Drinks are delicious and staff is wonderful. People watching is always entertaining here. Regulars are awesome, no one judges, everyone is just there to have a good time.

People aren’t too friendly in Texas in general but this tiny little bar is comfortable and inviting. It’s just the right balance of weirdos and introverts. I’m a smoker and the second hand smoke kills me on busy nights, having the door open and a window that could be opened would be nice, but it is what it is. It’s a nice little spot for a few drinks with friends. The bad reviews are coming from snobs who drink at Uptown Social.

This is a dive bar that is definitely for people who have lived in Georgetown for quite some time. There is a clique-ish type atmosphere, and people definitely know it if you’re not a local and treat you like you’re invisible. The bartenders are okay… they were relatively friendly. All in all, not the most welcoming of crowds, but it is what is is. I prefer other bars in Georgetown, where people are friendlier and don’t seem to care if you are a transplant. I noticed the bar manager at this particular establishment seems to encourage the attitude and spends more time drinking with the regulars than actually trying to create a friendly environment. They seem to always have people in there, so maybe they don’t care if newbies like me don’t show up. I have definitely told a lot of people I know not to bother. I don’t feel like being judged or sneered at when I go out to have a few drinks. I’m very laid back, so I tend to avoid places like these. I have noticed a slight aroma of sweat and shame in this place, but if that’s what you’re into, go for it!

My wife and I went to this dive in support of a cover band that was playing there for the first, and hopefully last, time. We read the reviews about the bartender who cannot even crack a smile and has the customer service mentality of a skunk. She was very easy to identify. The other waitstaff, in all fairness, was professional, and she tried to make up for the bad karma. The place smelled of old cigarettes(smoking is allowed) and had an ambiance that reeked of redneck trouble. The frowning bartender in question made the band keep their music down(hard to do with drums) and then turned up the jukebox during a break. The place just has a «wrong» feel about it. Good only for the regulars; pity them.

We only go here because one of our good friends is here regularly, and we like to see them once in a while. Do yourselves a good favor and get rid of that old lady you have working behind the bar. She has absolutely ZERO customer service skills, and to have someone like that working there and representing your service is shooting yourselves in the foot. If I was a huge jerk, I wouldn’t have tipped her a single CENT. Lose her.

You are losing a customer for good due to your bartender, young girl insisted I had drinks I did not have, trust me, I wouldn’t make issue over 2 dollars but just the simple fact of her rudeness and insisting I ordered what I didn’t order, I will never return to this bar, I am done, this is the 3rd time in a row that the bartenders have been rude and disrespectful to me, I will not tolerate a s… Bar and their s… Employees again, done and done. I’m a good judge on bar experiences and you want to avoid this bar at all cost if you don’t want to get ripped off or disrespected, They act like you owe them something. Quite a shame…

This bar has gone way down hill in the last few years. The bar tenders play favorites and have complete reign over the goings on here. The place is a dive and has seen better, and cleaner days. Service is atrocious, and many times I have been completely ignored while the bar tender plays with her phone, the juke box, or leaves the bar to sing karaōke. They can«ban» people from the bar at will, or with no reason. At this level of service it is a shock that this place is still in business. I have seen other business go belly-up for sub par service. Just save your money, and go elsewhere of stronger drinks, better service and a cleaner and more sanitary atmosphere. If you do venture out, stick to bottled beer. No telling how long it has been since the soda nozzles have been cleaned out.

I wouldn’t go to The Office Lounge if it weren’t so close to home. The karaōke and live bands are pretty fun, but the service is awful. They definitely favor the regulars, and I’ve actually had somebody tell me that if I don’t go stand at a specific spot at the bartop they will ignore me. I also think they’re a little overpriced for what they are, which is a dive bar on the cheap side of town.

As far as the dive bar scene… this is nothing special. Now, granted… everyone raves about the karaōke and I was not here on a karaōke night… so that might make a difference. They have free pool on Tuesdays which is nice, but over-priced beer for a weeknight. Smoking is allowed, which I enjoy, but if you’re not a local you feel really out of place here.

It smells like Swisher Sweets and shame in here, but I kind of liked it. Friendly bar staff, bar patrons, and $ 4 pitchers… this place ain’t half bad. The blaring jukebox playing nothing but hardcore gangsta rap in a sea of hillbillies… that was a little perplexing… Oh…did I mention the crock pot full of lasagna?! Score! I’ll be back at some point.

Cool bar scene; pool tables, karaōke, cover bands. Fun atmosphere and nice people.
