MUCH better service this last time. And, while the food menu is smaller, the choices are fantastic! Try the hummus plate and the cheese plate! Mmmm…

Nice atmosphere, mediocre service. However, I ordered an $ 8 glass of wine and they charged me for the $ 12 glass. Also, over charged me for the food that we ordered. I DON’T think this was an honest mistake and I won’t be going back.

Good place to go hang out at in the evenings. Live music and the balcony overlooking the square is a great combo.

It’s a chill place for a before or after dinner drink. Watch out for the killer Cabernet… bff and I got slightly hammered on it while overlooking the Georgetown square. The terrace is cooler than you would think… the shade trees provide cover from the sun and those curious eyes from the drive-bys. We, however, had a great view if the streets and sidewalks for an evening of(tipsy) philosophical discussions on life and people watching. The wait staff gave us just enough attention to be timely but not so much as to ever interrupt. Good times…

This is exactly what Georgetown needs. A great place to spend time with friends, or grab a drink after/before dinner.(with live music to boot) I have been here a couple of times and have had great experiences on both occasions. How many live music venues can you park right in front of in Austin?

We went there for a date night, Service was very marginal… Waitress was not very friendly, very spastic and cussed when she realized she forogt our appetizer order. She forgot our drink order and she double charged our credit card and it took about 5 days to take it off. Not so sure we will be back.

Stopped in for a drink and the place was hopping and had a great ambience. Really nice spot right at the center of downtown Georgetown. It will be great to sit out on the balcony in the summertime and listen to live music. You can order a drink, relax on a comfy couch, mingle with the locals and you can also order appetizers from the Italian restaurant downstairs. This place has only been open for a couple of months so come check it out.

compared to last time experience, it’s gotten better. The musician was nicer. I liked better at the loft lower level than in front of bar. little more cozzy and less noisy. However, sitll the waiting staff does not care for the customers and the drinks selection need improvement

Fun, relaxed atmosphere with good food and good wine. The service? I’ve given it more than one chance, and it’s failed miserably every time. Waitstaff should be trained in customer service and simple courtesy.

The Landmark is a great place — and something Georgetown has never seen before! I love the jazz & blues addition to the square’s night life, an part of life in Georgetown that has suffered in the past. I have met Joe, the owner(and bartender) and appreciate his interest in bringing something new to the area. The location is ideal, and boasts the best view of the square from it’s balcony. Come for happy hour and enjoy watching the sun set over the central Texas horizon. The appetizers offered are prepared from Amante’s, the restaurant downstairs. Everything I’ve enjoyed has been delicious. Happy hour prices are competitive and are available between 5pm and 7pm. I appreciated the wine list featuring local wines, and felt they offer a wide range of prices and variety. Service at the Landmark is friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The bartenders chat with customers, but also encourage mingling among guests. Entertainment-wise, it’s live! Another thing Georgetown can benefit from. It’s not just traditional jazz/blues, either. One time I enjoyed hearing Lady Gaga’s «Poker Face» played on the piano and another I tapped my foot to a great 3-person band. Joe is also committed to the community, and hosts an amateur night for local people to perform. He told me he likes to give everyone«their 15 minutes of fame.» :) Anyway, I definitely recommend checking this place out and enjoying a cocktail or glass of wine with friends. The warm atmosphere is a great place to spend an evening in Georgetown.

Their website describes the Landmark Tavern as the following: «Longtime restaurateurs Joe and Bobbie Dowda have brought music and entertainment back to the second floor of the iconic«Old Masonic Lodge» building with the opening of the Landmark Tavern. The Landmark is in the space previously occupied by Romeos’ upstairs bar. The Landmark offers Georgetown’s first and only live jazz and blues club. Unplugged, upscale and sophisticated, the Landmark fills a music void in Georgetown’s emerging downtown entertainment scene. Owner Joe Dowda is a master at creating extraordinary experiences in historic places, having previously operated the critically acclaimed, four-star Crockett Hotel Lounge at the Alamo in San Antonio. Enjoy live music and happy hour on the balcony overlooking beautiful and historic downtown Georgetown. « This is the first standalone bar in the downtown district and is classified as a private club/bar. It’s so nice to see this beautiful old building being lived in, being enjoyed, being celebrated. The staff is wonderful and the bartender made amazing drinks.(Lemondrop Martini — Heeeeeeeeeeyyy!) I cannot wait for the springtime months so that I can enjoy some of their drinks and the Meatball Grinder on the second story balcony that overlooks the square. Don’t worry Landmark, I’ll be back.
