My fiancé and I love Berry Springs so much that we’re actually getting married here at the end of October, can’t wait! We come here about once a week to walk the trails and have never been disappointed! This park is one of the cleanest and prettiest that I have been to in a long time, their restrooms are ALWAYS clean and well stocked, and the park staff are all very friendly and talkative :) They have two pavilions that you can rent for parties, BBQs, weddings, etc at a very reasonable price. We decided early on that we were going to have a very intimate wedding and berry springs park was the very first place we thought of. We called the Williamson county parks office and they helped us get in touch with the park staff to get everything set up with them. The process of reserving and paying for the pavilion was very simple and quick, and definitely less painful than paying $ 2,000+ on a traditional wedding venue. We are very excited for our big day and will adjust the review once our wedding is over, but until then have fun, this place is great!

Needed to get a run in while in Georgetown. Looked up parks and this place came up. Decided to leave F at home since I hadn’t yet investigated this place. He can be a bit distracted when in a new place. I’m always hesitant trying out new running trails alone but gave it a try any way. There’s a short trail up toward the front of the park and a long one that goes off toward the interstate in the back. Cue scary movie music… I started off on that long trail in the back and had this nagging voice in the back of my head that deterred me from continuing to the underpass of no return so I flipped a B and headed back. The park is beautiful in the spring. Not so much in the winter. There’s a playscape, fishing pond, donkeys to feed, running/walking trails, camping, pavilions to rent for parties, bathrooms, and lots and lots of pecan trees(i.e nuts!!!). Definitely make the pilgrimage here with the family. Bring lunch, do nut picking and stay awhile. Bring Fido, they are dog friendly.

This is probably one of the best parks in the Georgetown area they have campgrounds tons of hike and bike trails a large pond that is catch and release. There are playgrounds, play escapes, primitive campgrounds along with camp grounds for city folks that are equipped with electricity and close to restrooms. Lots of pecan trees tons of acreage its on an old family’s land and has been made into a preserve. It has a beautiful flower garden, donkeys the original House, barn and graveyard of the family who owned the property it is a beautiful preserve to bring your pets family have a barbecue throw the baseball, football, discs if you like to play disc golf there’s not a course yet but you can practice your throw play frisbee great for kids adults everyone just an all around great park and the park’s trail actually comes out to lake Georgetown so you can go all the way from Cr 152 to lake Georgetown on the trails at Berry’s Springs Park pretty amazing… I don’t have anything negative to say about the park bring your pets, children go camping on some of the very primitive campsites that are very far out and you’re not likely to see anybody come by. Lots of acreage and during pecan season since it is a pecan orchard you can pick up tons of pecans also a great place to barbecue because of all the free pecan you can throw on the grill to smoke your delicious barbecue with make sure and bring an ice chest full of beverages non glass of course and get prepared to have a great time with your legs kicked up! Also it is a very cheap to camp there I believe it’s $ 12 for the weekend or something of that nature the primitive camping grounds of course are cheaper than the campgrounds that have electricity I am more of a if you’re going camping you’re going camping so the primitive ones are the way to go for me… We all enjoy Berry Springs is the place to be

The site of the monthly Vern’s No Frills 5K, this park is a favorite local spot for my wife and I to run and go bird watching. We’ve counted 14 species in one day, including four different hawks and a barred owl. Stone markers indicate the 3.1 mile Vern’s course along the mostly concrete path which runs alongside Berry Springs, through fields, under an overpass, and among the beautiful trees throughout the park. There are overnight camping sites available, 10 – 14 I believe, which require a permit available through the park website. The sites are within about a 7000 square foot open area, with no water or electric hookups. Water spigots and a drinking fountain are available in the restroom facilities in the center of the camping area. No open fires allowed in the park. There are several large pavilions with seating available as well, ideal for hosting shindigs and box socials. There is a donkey in a pen near the entrance. I’m not sure his intentions, but he has told me a few inappropriate jokes, so I recommend you keep your young children away from him.
