This is hands down our favorite place to go on Sunday for breakfast or lunch… its a tradition for my family! Its always lively, the servers are exceptional and the food is delicious… every single time we go. For the festival this weekend they set up an outdoor grill and served up some of the tastiest burgers, EVER at an outdoor event. Thanks!

We are big fans of breakfast, their food was delicious. We came with our family of 7 and they were friendly and accommodating. I had the Smoked Salmon Benedict and it was out of this world. They also left a pitcher of water and carafe of coffee on the table, which was really helpful. Will be back again!

There are several of these in the area. I’ve been to the other one in wheaton as well, and I like this one more. It’s a bit more upscale, but that might just be the Geneva pretentiousness. It’s okay, I lived in Geneva for several years so I can say that(I’m just jaded). It gets busy on weekends like any restaurant so I might suggest reservations for larger groups or if you can that far ahead. The food is solid and they will almost for sure tell you the wait time is 45 minutes but likely, on a Saturday morning, it will be shorter. The host/hostesses seem to be on the younger side and always seem to be happy. The staff as well demonstrates some solid Midwestern courtesy. The food is the standard affair with healthy versions of the staples. This is a great place for a morning date or the first stop of a fun day of activities. I would also drop by to nurse a hangover, but only if you don’t mind not fitting in with all the hipsters and yuppies.

Super breakfast menu and very friendly staff and the restaurant is cute. Always look forward to breakfast there when I visit Geneva.

Coffee was a disappointment, lukewarm and weak. The acoustics are terrible in this place. It’s wasn’t that crowded but we could hardly have a conversation it was so loud. So much was spent on décor but someone forgot to install some acoustic tiles. Waitress was good and food was good.

We came for Mother’s Day breakfast. I was worried about my choice with my first interaction. There were 2 young girls at the hostess stand outside and they were rude to say the least. There was no greeting, just a «how many?!?». Yes, they were busy but it’s not a reason to lose your manners. I simply said«We have 3, what is the wait time?». I got a giant sigh, an eye roll and a «40−45 minutes. Do you want to leave your name or not?!». I asked if my group was ok with the wait, and I said«Yes» and gave our name. They shoved a pager in my hand. I then asked«how far does the signal reach?» We are going to get coffee” and they responded«If you want a table, you better not go far. The pagers aren’t working and we are just shouting names!!». I simply responded with an «ok» but I wanted to ask why they were even bothering giving pagers if they don’t work. Either way, we chanced it, and went to a coffee house while we waited. We came back and waited about 25 minutes more, which is fine. Then a 3rd girl came up(short with dark hair) calling my name, and she was incredibly sweet and welcomed us and apologized for the wait and the pager issues. From there our experience only went up. The guy who sat us was very friendly and our waitress was a sweetheart. We ordered more coffee, juice and our meals. They all came quickly and were delicious. We had an omelette and a skillet that were both delicious and a large portion. The last person got the lemon french toast on special, and it was incredible. I seriously want the recipe. The price for everything was very reasonable. Overall it was a great experience. I don’t know how those girls got their jobs outside, but I hope they either get a reality check of how to speak to people in general, and customers to boot.

Absolutely one of the best breakfasts I’ve had. The cinnamon roll French toast is over the top. Quick service and very friendly staff. Just the best.

I cannot get enough of this place! I get the same thing every time! The veggie power skillet is definitely the best! The food is great, the staff is the best, and the environment is clean and cut. I love to come here when I can. The staff really is what makes it. They are so personable and friendly to everyone no matter how busy. They always apologize for a wait and make it up with smiles and great food!

This location was a bit tricky to find, as Im not very familiar with Geneva. I love this location, the wait isnt as long as it is in the Naperville and Schaumburg locations. But Naperville Egg Harbor still holds a special spot in my heart. The menus was the same and prepared equally as delicious. The service was very attentive, I was never left with an empty cup of coffee. If im ever in the area for breakfast again I will definitely return.

First time here. Our waiter Scott was very kind, courteous and attentive. I like that water and coffee are left at your table. I would have given it a 5 except for the fact the skillet needed seasoning and the hollandaise was scrambled on the farmers Benedict. Will definitely be back.

I love this place! The staff is so friendly and the food is delicious! I normally don’t go out for breakfast, but when I do I go here. It is well-priced and not the burned, greasy, overly cheesy food you get at other breakfast places. It is well-seasoned and cooked perfectly. The pancakes are my favorite pancakes I have ever had(the blueberry ones)(: If there’s something you would like changed in your meal, just ask. I went here with my husband and got the ultimate skillet, but asked for turkey sausage instead of ham and they had no problem with that. I had the oatmeal last time(I never order oatmeal at restaurants because I can make it better at home) and wow! It was SO good! The berries are delicious and the granola is phenomenal! I LOVE the décor! It’s so cute and cozy! AND you can buy their adorable mugs(:

This was a great lunch/breakfast! Donna was a sweet server and got us everything promptly. The roasted tomato bisque was terrific along with the chicken avocado sandwich. My husband had chicken chili soup and loved it along with a scrambled skillet! We will definitely go back

I live in Chicago yet rarely frequent restaurants in the suburbs. However, I found myself there recently with some friends and was pleasantly rewarded. I always try eggs benedict at new breakfast/brunch restaurants just to compare. Rarely do I have an eggs benedict that I insist on going back for more. I’m going back the next time I’m in Geneva for sure!!!

I am a resident of this area, and even after all the good breakfast places opening up in this area, I will always choose Egg Harbor and recommend it to all my guests at the local Marriott hotel I work for. It NEVER disappoints me or the hungry travelers to Historic Geneva… they always come back to thank me for the overall experience Geneva exudes. The staff, food, and energy is beyond AMAZING! The positive vibe and atmosphere, along with their attitude of aiming to please and exceeding expectations never waivers. Thank you Gary and staff for taking such good care of our family!

I hate breakfast, but this place is PHENOMENAL. I randomly picked this place from the selection of breakfast places around the area while near here for an errand. I’m so happy this is the place I landed on! I’ve been here twice and each time ordered the lobster scrambler. My company has ordered something different each time. Everything has been delicious, but the lobster scrambler remains my favorite. Honestly, it might be the best breakfast meal I’ve ever had. Their jelly and coffees are also amazing! The only thing I’m not a fan of is the potatoes. They’re a little dry and bland for my taste. I’m rarely hungry enough for them anyway. So I don’t mind much. The staff is absolutely delightful! I don’t know how they stay so cheerful. They even offer you coffee to go when your meal is over! Also check out their little mini store wall. You can get the cute hand made mugs they use along with some of their other products.

Perfect food, perfect service, a great place overall. Im very picky with pancakes, and theirs are the best I ever had. Prices are on the high side of most breakfast spots, but its ok for what you get. We cannot wait to return.

We stopped in for lunch here and had an pretty enjoyable meal. Décor: The look and feel of the interior has a quasi-house feel to it. A good amount of windows let in some solid natural light and the décor in general is just homey feeling. There are a lot of tables, which is good because this place is very popular around breakfast/brunch. But as crowded as it gets it doesn’t feel like it’s just mobbed due to the table spacing. Bathroom: pretty standard and very clean Staff: The greeter was very nice and our waitress mirrored that. Food: We were there for lunch but ended up with a mix. We had a «scrambler»(which was odd when I was asked how I’d like the eggs with it…) and was very tasty and a soup/salad combo. Everything was very tasty and the portions were very healthy-sized. Value: We walked out feeling full and not like we had been robbed because the prices are on par with any establishment of this nature. Egg Harbor is a good spot and one that I’d consider in the future if I am again in the area.

I went here with a girlfriend who is a late riser, and likes breakfast about the time I want lunch. I’m not that big on breakfast, and wasn’t really thrilled to be going here. I have to admit– I was pleasantly surprised. I had a great selection for lunch, and loved my meal. It was a chicken salad, and delicious. The décor here is very cute– a lot of rooster knick-knacks. Our server was a young man, and very attentive and personable. The place was clean, bright and pleasant. I would definitely return again, to this one or another that they have elsewhere. We were at the Geneva one, but I noticed they have one in Lake Geneva when we were up there.

Egg Harbor is always good. Plenty of options, very fast service, decent prices, and large portions. But more than $ 2 for a cup of coffee is silly. If you take advantage and sit for a few cups it could be worth it(even though a cup at Starbucks is less and you get a free refill…), but if you only have one cup it’s too pricey. Also, on the weekends it can get busy with a brunch rush. I believe they offer a call ahead waitlist and I’d try it next time I visit during those prime Saturday/Sunday brunch hours.

Always good, always fun! You can’t go wrong with Egg Harbor, especially the one in Geneva. I’ve been going to Egg Harbor for 15 years or so… before Unilocal,so I’m just getting around to my review. The location in Geneva is family owned, run by Gary. He is always there, greeting guests and having fun. I don’t think there is 1 thing I can think of that has been bad here. My favorites are the Eggs Benedict, Cinnamon Swirl French Toast, and the Door County Melt. The coffee is really good too.

The food is great as well as the real friendly service. I love the cinnamon roll french toast and their special for that weekend, which was Lobster Crepes. I had their skillet dishes too… I’ve been coming here a few times and was always satisfied.

Going Corporate: been coming here for years today we enjoyed the new Protein Wrap for breakfast which was outstanding. Today we were told twice that«team members» were all helping out today. It seems of late Egg Harbor has been losing its individual personality everything from the tasteless«homemade jelly» to the very odd salt and pepper grinders that spit out far too coarse a grind. It’s sad to see a great local breakfast and lunch spot migrate to an «Applebee’s» persona.

Best breakfast place around. Food is very fresh — portions are generous. Staff is attentive and welcoming — without being overbearing. I love everything about this place. I can modify any menu item without issue. Their fruit is very fresh and any fruit cup/bowl has apples, oranges, pineapple and a mixture of berries — all very fresh! Ingredients for egg dishes are varied and there are plenty of cheese options — including blue and goat cheese. We are Sunday regulars here — and will be for years to come!

This place is amaaazing, I’ll try to keep the fan-girling to a minimum. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but the service is always fantastically effective and friendly. And trust me, others know how good this place is. The wait may be long on some days, sadly no reservations, but it is entirely worth it!(They’re located in a really cute little outdoor mall area, so you can wander a bit!) They’re super effective at getting tables ready, often they bring you to your table as they’re finishing up setting it. The coffee mugs are all uniquely glazed and adorable. The servers always make sure you have enough coffee as well, so that endeared them to me right away! Again, the food is scrumptious. I’ve only been here for breakfast; someday I have to try their lunch! They have tons of healthy options that don’t skimp on taste! The food is obviously made with fresh and very good quality ingredients. They have traditional foods, but my favorites are the dishes that they’ve given a new taste to, or their original recipes! On that note, definitely try their Bacado Omelet, Farmer’s Market Benedict, and everything in the Egg-cetera section! The breakfast potatoes are perfect, something I’ll judge harshly, but they more than meet my standards! Basically I could go on and on about how good their food is. Oh, and the cherry on top? They’re cheaper than any other breakfast place I’ve been to. You’d probably have to order of the Denny’s $ 2 section to beat their prices, especially considering the quality you’ll get at EHC.

We were in town for the Barbed Wire Betties roller derby bout, and after such a great match, we woke up with a hunger in our bellies. A quick check on Unilocal showed glowing reviews for Egg Harbor Café. This was some serious brunch, people. And I love brunch. First of all, it’s a hidden gem(literally, we almost couldn’t find it because it’s tucked back in a square) that was busting at the seams with people when we arrived at about 9:30 on a Sunday. They know how to turn tables over, though. We called ahead and it took longer for us to drive over than it did for a table to be ready and claimed by some other people. We didn’t wait long, though. They hustled us over so quickly, they were still setting up the table! Very efficient. The menu has so many options. I wanted to eat everything, as I do sometimes, but I settled on the half order of original eggs benedict and the Italian Fall french toast. THISWAS A GREATCHOICE. I ate as much as I could shove into my stomach and took the rest home. Prices here were very reasonable, the server was spot-on, and I’ve never been to a restaurant that was more accommodating to babies and children. I wish we lived closer so I could eat there again.
