I tried to get a delivery order of shrimp egg foo young and shrimp fried rice. By the end of the conversation I couldn’t tell if they didn’t have shrimp or if they couldn’t deliver. I wanted to have dinner delivered but I finally relented and said I would go ahead and pick the dinner up. I tried and failed to confirm the location of the restaurant. Authenticity has overwritten productivity. That is to say having a genuine Asian person taking orders fails when that person does not even have a basic understanding of our language.

I have eaten here on and off for almost 20 years and seen many owners/operators come and go. This place used to serve great US/Chinese food — however, this operation has to be the worst by far. Order taker barely speaks or understands English and the food quality has tanked. Orange chicken made me gag — deep fried chicken guts — no meat, just batter and a sauce that tasted like rusty iron. Peppered steak was onions and green pepper with slivers of beef that were at least tender. Fried riced was more akin to rice-a-roni. The broccoli was the only item that was decently cooked and fresh. I’ll be on the lookout for the next owners to come through before I return.

Here are my only problems… the General Tso tasted great, but was marked spicy and wasn’t. The fried rice was noting to write home about either. Now, the good things. The service was good. The price vs amount was good. The rangoons were excellent! The sweet and sour chicken was excellent! I loved the eggrolls! The black pepper and cabbage in the eggrolls was spot on! The establishment is clean and there is parking. I would come back to try other items on the menu.

The lady at the register is very nice, and her children help out pass the water. If you don’t like spicy, buy the sesame chicken, but for those who do, the orange chicken is definitely worth a try. BEWARNEDTHOUGH. EVERYTIME I EATHERE, ITCOMPLETELYCLEARSMGBOWELANDCAUSESDIARRHEA.

First time visit and it will be the only time. We are always looking for new places to eat and happened upon Uncle Wings on Unilocal. The egg drop soup was tasteless and the fried wontons were stale. We each had a dish that included Beef that was gray in color, had a strange odor, and texture. Maybe we were unlucky in our choices and other menu items are better but we will never know. We gave it a shot. Sorry Folks.

Ordered lunch order of broccoli and chicken and the chicken pieces(that I tried to eat) seemed to be either all fat or very rubbery. After chewing on those two chicken pieces I took the food back up front and asked for my money back. The lady working the front didn’t seem to want to refund my money at first and was giving me attitude for not liking their food, but eventually she did. A two-star rating was due to her poor customer service and the fact that I did not like what I ordered. Perhaps something else may be better. I doubt that I will ever find out. I got there around noon on a Tuesday and there were no customers present.

I live in apartments in downtown Garland and have had food delivered from Uncle Wings several times. Sesame chicken, combination fried rice and several other dishes are reliably very good, large portions that make several meals. Delivery was on time, reliable, and even apologized for being 5 minutes late! You don’t see that very often!

We were in San Rafael in the late afternoon and had a jones for Chinese. Checked a couple of places and figured how bad could this place be. Well, pretty bad. To be honest, without question the worst Chinese food, maybe ever. Service was actually nice but, everything tasted like it was«fresh» from the steam table instead of made to order. Cannot imagine returning, particularly in an area filled with great Chinese restaurants. Please, Uncle Wing, rethink your food!

It was my first time trying Uncle Wings tonight and I just absolutely loved the service! Such nice people and such a great deal for dinner! You get a choice of an entrée, cup of soup, drink, egg roll and fried rice for only $ 7.50! Can’t be beat! The hot and sour soup was pretty good for the price. I plan to go there again when I am in the area. I am glad I tried it.
