Carlos was very accommodating in scheduling my appt. He was very friendly and professional. He repaired my piano and gave me some great advice about tuning it. I was most amazed by how gentle he was with the piano, while at the same time being quick. I wish I had known about him last time we moved. I highly recommend him for repair, tuning or moving. Although he didn’t move ours, I would totally trust him next time we move over regular movers who don’t care one bit about the integrity of your piano. He’s honest as well.

I contacted Carlos today for a quote to tune my antique upright Kimball piano. Not only did he arrive within hours of my call, he took the time to explain the services available to bring my family heirloom back to life. He tuned and performed some minor repairs at the most competitive price in the area. A professional and knowledgeable individual whom I will continue to contact in the future for service I can trust. We hired Carlos to move our Craigslist-​purchased piano from McKinney to our home in North Dallas. He was so prompt for the pickup, he actually beat us there and was almost finished loading the piano by the time we arrived to the seller’s home. He has a special trailer that is completely set up with straps and blankets to properly protect pianos as he moves them.
Based upon his initial assessment of the piano during the delivery and our conversation as he was setting it up, we decided to hire Carlos for the piano’s first tuning in about 10 years! The previous owner had maintained the exterior, but had not taken care of the mechanics of the vintage piano for many years.
That first tuning is happening as I write this review… and I can report that Piano Restoration Center is going to be our ‘go-​to’ resource for many years to come. I can hear the dramatic improvement in the acoustics and Carlos has taken the time to patiently demonstrate the equipment he uses for the tuning process. He showed me how far out of tune the piano was before he began, then demonstrated the level of improvement (not only recognizable to my ears, but verifiable on the equipment he uses to gauge the piano strings’ vibrations)
Carlos is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional in his demeanor. It is evident that he has many decades of working history with piano moving, tuning and restoration. We highly recommend him.

If you read my other reviews, you will see my worst experience moving a piano. These guys are a breath of fresh air in an industry where you really have to be careful who you choose, or pay the price.
