I just found out that they had Vietnamese vegetable buffet from 11am to 2PM from M to Saturday for $ 8 all you can eat and my kids love here. One thing that the services is not good but who cares and all I want is my good vegetables food. We tried many restaurants but here is our best. Good luck you guys and you can try if this work for you. Location is in Garland TX on corner of beltline and Jupiter rd. 3112 N Jupiter Rd #305, Garland, TX75044

This place is serves one of the best sandwiches in all of Richardson, the Meatball Bahn Mi. The pork and tomato sauce is very rich and I am totally addicted to them. Everything else is also very good and I have made may way around most of the menu. The place has kind of a deli atmosphere and is very bright inside. I pick up to go from here once or twice a week. The Meatball Bahn Mi is deserving of the 5 stars all by itself.

WOOOOOOOooooooOOo! Im so glad that I’ve finally discovered another Vietnamese gem that offers a buffet option :) Not only do they offer the buffet option, it seems as if the place is also a mini store where you could buy Vietnamese snacks and sandwiches. The service was above average for a typical VIetnamese restaurant. I came here with my family after the funeral of my late uncle to celebrate his life on a Saturday during the lunch hour. The restaurant itself wasnt very busy at the time which was an advantage to us so we could easily seat 30 – 40 people that were with us at the time. We ordered the vegetarian spring rolls, Vietnamese chicken salad(Goi Ga), and the seafood hotpot. Now, I’m normally pretty picky with hotpots because there’s so many different types offered in the DFW metroplex(Chinese ect). I was REALLY impressed with the vegetarian springrolls and the HOTPOT. The broth was perfectly seasoned and it was perfect to eat during the cold weather. The hotpot came with rice noodles and vegetables as well! YA’LL have to TRY the hotpot!!! Overall: You can definitely expect to see me come back to try the buffet or to be face deep in the hotpot again! Im such a big fan of the hotpot and recommend it to everyone! Love this place already!

A friend and I came here for lunch several months and it was the worst experience in all aspects. Service — We were seated immediately but it took 15 minutes for our order to be taken, after we flagged the waiter down. We couldn’t understand why the staff ignored us for so long because the lunch crowd was almost gone. I ordered Banh Xeo and my friend ordered a bowl of noodle soup(forgot the name). We WAITED30 minutes for our food and nothing came out! We flagged the waiter again and he apologized and said it will be out soon. They apparently haven’t started on our order as it took another 10 minutes for my Banh Xeo to come but no noodle soup! Took another 5 minutes! In total it took 1HOUR from the moment we were seated to getting our food. Food — Banh Xeo was just OK, nothing to brag about. Hard to mess that up. My friend’s noodle soup was not just gross looking but it tasted horrible. It tasted like they used canned broth as their soup base. No flavor whatsoever. They insisted we try their vegetarian buffet at no additional charge. We gave it a look but passed because it didn’t look appealing. Atmosphere — there wasn’t any, as expected with many Asian restaurants.

Veggie buffet during lunch for the vegetarians, awesome! The bo chien bo(roll it yourself spring rolls) is really great! You can choose your own proteins and they give you lots of veggies. Highly recommend

This is one of those places that I can only order one thing and stay with it! I’ve tried several different dishes here, and the best of them is BunMam. The smell of it is kinda strong, but it’s actually worth to taste. Other things here are not so great, or I gotta say that they really disappointed me with their vegetarian menu. SALTY and DRY are all I can say. Service is kinda funny. The guy who took our order didn’t want to communicate– I guess– because he didn’t say a thing ever since we walked in the restaurant. I found it creepy when he wrote what we want down then left with out a word, then came back with our water then left us saying«Thanks» to teach other. Haha that’s so bazaar. I mean I’m still coming back for BunMan whenever I crave for it, but like once in a while tho!

Vietnamese food in Dallas. Fails all around. We had 2 com tam, 1 bbh, and 1 Cajun shrimp dish. All lacked flavor. Vegetables were all dried and stale. Smells inside and they have good togo for sell. Their vegetarian buffet looked poor and sad. Against the wall and flies moving around. My Vietnamese coffee was bland. I’m so sad for Dallas! But parking is super easy.

I had high expectations and it didn’t truly meet It. Good but another visit is necessary. The cuisine is from Northern Vietnam.

I live in CA and love Vietnamese Food. I was in Texas for a business trip and dined at the mom and pop style restaurant. The food was fantastic! It is in the strip mall so you might have to look for it but there is plenty of parking. We tried the Phở(beef noodle soup with beef and tendon), Banh Xeo(it is like Pizza, but much more healthy and tasty because you get to take the variety of ingredients and wrap them in many different kind of vegetables before dipping in the sauce. This means each bite has shrimp, slices of pork, bean sprouts, onions, etc. — just so many flavor combinations). We also had the mango salad which was excellent and was made to order(so it took a little bit longer to be brought to the table). They finely shred fresh mango, and add many different fresh herbs to it as well as peanuts. You can add beef, squid, shrimp, chicken etc…(if you are allergic to peanuts, make sure you ask them not to add this to the dish). I saw one table of 5 order the goat hot pot. I heard it is very popular and very good as well but there was no way I could try that as well with everything I’d already ordered. If I go back I will definitely try that one. The restaurant has so many menu items and includes many vegetarian dishes as well. The owner and her children all work in the restaurant. She cooks and her family provides the customer service you’ll receive. The children are very sweet and helpful so you can ask them for suggestions or customize orders to your taste since they prepare fresh meals. Lunchtime seemed busy… and nothing says a great restaurant than people willing to wait for great food. You may consider arriving a little bit earlier or later than 12 pm. Happy eating!!!

Mi thap cam kho(egg noodles with meat combination — dry style) & chao(rice porridge). Cooked egg noodles in a big bowl of thinly sliced pork, seasoned ground pork, sliced calamari, shrimp, quail egg and bits of fried pork/fried pork belly fat/fried dried shrimp. Bunch of veggies, pickled jalapenos(*essential) and then pour the homemade sauce over it with a squeeze of lime juice and wala! Also comes with a small bowl of broth. Yumminess all in my mouth! This will be my to go place for dried style noodles. at least in the Dallas area. Don’t forget to order a side of gio chao quay(fried sticks of bread). The bf loves to dunk the fried breadsticks into the broth. Chao tasted like the homemade kind you always get when you’re sick and your mom magically whips up a pot. It was pork based. Had pieces of pork in it plus fried onion to top it off. The rice porridge also comes with a side of gio chao quay. Awesome on a cold day or of course when you’re down and under with the blues. If you love coconut; The coconut juice is fresh from the coconut. They carve out the flesh from the shell and put it in a cup with the juices. Slurp! The downside… The place could be a bit… more… sanitized. Thus the 3 stars. Other than that, very home-made authentic make a happy plate kind of place. To-go is very popular here! :)

When it comes to food, this place is great. They have so much to choose from, and everything has always been really good. My favorites are their Ban Xeo(Vietnamese Crepes), Vermicelli dishes, and chao(Vietnamese porridge). My complaint with Nam Hua is their service. Their wait times are RIDICULOUSLY slow. Whether I am dining in, or calling an order for pick up, I always have to wait over 20 minutes. Once, I even called in 45 minutes early to pick up a to-go order and STILL had to wait(after they told me it’d be ready in 15 minutes). I just don’t get it. It was a slow day and there was only 1 other table there. Bottom line, good food, but be prepared to wait for no reason whatsoever.

This place is da bomb when it comes to finger food! We had the snails, clams, and tamarind crab and I tell you, we were super satisfied! My two friends who are from Florida recommended this place since their local friends live in Texas. We are all foodie and this place did a great job on satisfying our taste buds. Snails-baked with a fish taste dipping sauce was so scrumptious we had two plates Clams-first plate we had the clam was small. Second plate clam was double the size and the dipping sauce was interesting, spicy oil pepper. Tamarind crab– perfect taste, crab was ok but not quite fresh, I gave them credit for the sauce Disappointment: order oc with coconut juice and they gave us escargot meat that was already peel! Totally not what we order and no wonder why it’s not on the menu. The lady said she can special make it. Don’t do it!!! She kept trying to convince us it was better but nope it was not! They did not give us a bill to show us the break down. Our bill came out to be $ 109 and was not sure how that was the case. Overall, I will come back for escargot and tamarind crabs. Perfect place if they serve beer because the food they serve are more for drinking type of Viet food.

It has been several yrs since we have eaten here. It will be several yrs until we go again. We actually got the soup to go. My wife orders… lol. I had a shrimp phở. It was fine. Nothing great. She had Mi Quang. The noodles were not good at all. The soup was great We had Banh It It was very good. We also bought fish in a sauce picante but we will eat that tomorrow. The woman were very nice. I must be honest, Vietnamese woman are always nice to me. I am sure this is because my wife is vietnamese and a fox!

Let’s be real, folks. Phở is the best remedy for a hangover. I came here expecting to have a delicious hot bowl of Phở. It was okay… but the broth tasted like dish soap. Honestly, I wanted to finish the Phở. but I couldn’t get myself to drink anymore of that dish soap-broth. However. the spring rolls I had were really good. Crunchy/tasty. Service: Well… I only saw our waitress once. I don’t know if it was because there was party of 20+ or if they just weren’t paying attention. I don’t think I’d ever come back.

I love Vietnamese cuisine! I tried to make it at home but I defer to the experts. You know a place is good when the place is full if native Vietnamese and the waitress barely speaks English and you point to the picture to communicate! If you haven’t tried Vietnamese food, you should! There isn’t a bad thing on the menu and you will enjoy every morsel. I always get the beef Phở which included rice noodles, beef flank and brisket, a plate of bean sprouts and Asian greens that I think are in the eucalyptus family, and slices of lime and jalapeño. It’s good for the soul and the sinuses!

I can only find good Banh Tam Bi here, but sadly I can’t find myself to return anymore. 1) There was no background music. None. It was so quiet you could easily eavesdrop on conversations. Also, awkward. 2) It was REALLY empty. Even more awkward if you’re the only table talking. 3) The service was terrible. Our waiter barely checked on us. Probably because he was scared. You’ll see why. 4) Your food comes out one by one. That means one person is eating while others are still waiting. This wouldn’t be that much of a problem if the waiting times weren’t so LONG. 5) The food took FOREVER. Mine came out, but my dad’s rice platter took an eternity. What do I mean by eternity? Well, I finished my entire meal plus 15 minute waiting time until his finally came out. In fact, he left to go smoke because it took so long! And that’s what I mean by the scared waiter. He did not come assure us of the meal. We had to ask HIM about it. And why would it take so long if there was barely anyone there? Would hate to see it on a «busy day.» Well, my Banh Tam Bi was good(what saved it from being a 1 star), but my parents’ meals were only«okay.» Sorry, we do not wait for«okay.» Oh, and do not get the Nhan Nhuc drink. Wasn’t that sweet. Time to look for a new restaurant…

My favorite phở joint in Dallas. For a type of cuisine that is very similar from restaurant to restaurant, a phở joint that stands apart by having a comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff. It doesn’t hurt that they have extended menu options also. If you are new to Vietnamese food, ask for the menu with the pictures. I thought that was a neat touch.

Went for dinner tonight with the family. It was about 110 degrees outside, and their A/C was broken! Which unfortunately bumps down my rating. Their ceiling fans were running, but my mom had to ask the waitress to turn on a floor fan that they had just sitting in the corner. My dad ordered the seafood hot pot which is why we went and stayed despite the sweat inducing conditions. The food took a while to come out. I don’t know why it did since the hot pot is one of those dishes that you cook yourself at the table. Our waiter was a teenager who was able to speak English. They sell Vietnamese snacks and other pre-made food on tables in front of the register. But I didn’t get a clean feeling from this place. I wouldn’t come back here if I had a choice.

For fans of Vietnamese cuisine, this is a shopping center that you must acquaint yourself with. There are several sit– down Vietnamese restaurants, a food mall that serves«fast food» Vietnamese, and an awesome grocery store that has an excellent selection of fresh fish. The Nam Hua is the first restaurant you see as you turn off Beltline into the shopping center. We’ve been to several of the others farther in, down by the grocery store(a separate review). I tried Nam Hua for lunch and thought it was excellent. I had a beef broth soup with brisket and«meat balls.» The meat balls were really some kind of beef sausage. The soups are large and come with a plate of assorted fresh herbs to add. You definitely need to do so because the flavor is just wonderful. The soups are filling, and delicious. I like it because you don’t feel weighted down for the rest of the day. The prices are extremely reasonable. A huge bowl of soup(I ate half and brought the rest home) was just $ 6.50. The place is clean and well kept. The biggest problem is language. I wanted to order beef stew which is on the window and they have a beef stew sandwich. But it was not on the menu and it was impossible to get the waitress to understand what I wanted, so I ended up with soup, which turned out fine. Next time I will go to the window and point to the«Beef Stew» written on the window. We also had trouble getting curry. It was in the review posted on the wall, but the waitress did not understand what we meant when we said we wanted curry. Most of the menu is soup, although there are a few sandwiches, rice w/meat dishes, and noodle with meat dishes. But mostly soups. If you haven’t tried Vietnamese soups, you need to put this at the top of your«to eat» list. The place is modest and unassuming, but do not be fooled, this is a restaurant that serves some seriously good Vietnamese food. I plan to return again and again.
