European Wax Center

I’m trying to be as empathetic and understanding as possible but then I just had such a TERRIBLE experience.
I had a wax just as bad once but that was for $ 10 in the Philippines…
This is a chain wax center, supposively «high end» and I can honestly say I’ve had such better care and service at Heena’s Salon in Richardson.
My young woman taking care of me didn’t smile or try to tqlk to me-​which is fine except for the discomfort I felt. I felt forced to start a convo but then I remembered that this was HER job, not mines. so silence.
The waxing begins and immediately, I started to worry that she didn’t know what she was doing. She was using the soft purple wax, which I’ve had used on me before and it was COMPLETELY painless and I probably could have fallen asleep during it. BUT THIS TIME… she obviously didn’t let it dry long enough or something and when she yanked, I was in so much pain. I’m usually dead silent when I’m going through these wax sessions but I couldnt help but yell out «OH MY GOD».
She didn’t even apologize or ask if the wax was too hot/​how I’m feeling/​if I’m okay…
This soft wax hurt 2x more than the hard wax that I usually put up with at Heena’s salon… at least there, the ladies are extremely nice to me.
Everything was nice and clean but I definitely shouldn’t have experienced that level of pain if she knew what the hell she was doing. She also was so RUDE and apathetic about my entire experience.
I still gave a 10% tip because I’m trying my best to be empathetic about why she just SUCKED.
The receptionist was extremely awkward also. She asked if I enjoyed the experience and if I would like to book another appointment and i scoffed «it was ok. Definitely not.» and I said «thanks» as i walked out and she didn’t say anything back.
Don’t come to THIS location. The one in Plano is SOOOOOO Much better.

From stepping into the front door to walking out was a fantastic experience the front desk person and Nikki were very professional! Nikki was very sanitary and explain their procedures in aftercare very well! She recommended products that I need but was not too pushy which was great. I will definitely be getting one of them! Will definitely be back and would recommend Nikki to everyone

I’ve had bad experiences from the spring creek & Plano EWC, so I swore I wouldn’t return and the one in Dallas was too far of a drive (amazing service there!) They recently opened this one up in Firewheel, so I just decided to give it a try again.
Overall, I would come back to this location. My only complaint is that I wish the esthetician would tell me when to undress and walk out the room when I did. It’s pretty awkward just standing there while she’s heating up the wax and the room is silent. She was nice though, once I started a conversation with her. I guess next time, I’ll just have to ask when to get undressed and if they could wait elsewhere while I get comfortable.
