New owners have definitely not lived up to the previous place’s standards. I have returned several times to be disappointed in about 90% of the things I have ordered. As much as this pains me, they just can’t get the orders right. Nothing is more frustrating than ordering take out to get home and find out that over half your order is wrong. I haven’t returned. I’ll find an actual Burgesa chain if I want to eat that food again.

We stopped by last night to grab a Monumental for dinner and this location has dropped their Burguesa franchise. They had photocopied signs posted saying they are now called«Burger Burger». We asked the guy at the counter if they still make the Monumental and he said no. They’ve changed the entire menu. I can’t speak to the new food because we left(the two star rating is because I was really disappointed not to get my Burguesa fix). I doubt I’ll bother going again. I go to Burguesa for the Monumental in particular because it’s unique. It’s just a real pity that one of my favorite burgers is no longer available in Garland.

Great breakfast. Tried this place on my way to work and their breakfast tacos are great. A good variety to choose from an always fresh along with some good salsa. Haven’t tried their burgers but I am sure it’s good. The only con preventing them from getting more customers might be their location, kind of hidden in the Kroger complex.

Just finished up my La Monumental Jr. burger. This review may not be entirely accurate since I got a veggie burger, but I am always on the lookout for a good one and this didn’t impress me. I ordered the La Monumental Jr. sans onion and ham and subbed a veggie patty. I also wanted to try out the spicy fries and a churro so I added those items to my order along with a Mexican soda. I was disappointed with the spicy fries. I had ordered an extra side of the creamy sauce and I think this helped give them a bit of a boost, but I feel like I might as well have ordered regular fries. I just wasn’t that thrilled with them. My burger was interesting. It was ok, but would have been a lot better had my veggie patty been more fresh. I feel like it had freezer burn or something — the outer edge was rock hard. At one point I bit into it and nearly chipped a tooth. My churro and my drink were the best part of the meal. I am sticking with Twisted Root from now on to get my veggie burger fix, but I am still on the look-out for the perfect bean patty.

Great place for a different style of burger. I had a whole set of breakfast burritos which they apparently serve all day. I tried the whole lot of them and was very satisfied. I will come again to try other things.

Interesting twist on the regular burger place. The place is spotless inexpensive and the owner is a nice and friendly guy to talk with. The rest of the staff is all very polite and helpful. They serve Mexican sugar based sodas for the people wanting to avoid high fructose corn syrup and the like. Oh did I mention that you get a taco fortune cookies with your meal?! Neat touch. I’ll return I would give it 4.5 out of 5 if that was possible but wouldn’t give it a 4

Burgers are very fresh and tasty. I’ve had the single patty cheeseburger, and the Jr. Monumental. I personally like the regular fries better than the spicy, but to each his own. The service is awesome. Very friendly staff, energetic and eager to work(not lookign like they hate life like at some other ‘fast food’ restaurants I’ve been to). I agree this could be a Mexican Whataburger. Not overpriced either! I’ll definitely be back!

I love coming here when I’m in the area. They make great burgers and the milkshakes are the best. My favorite is the Oreo milkshake.

Great great great service. The fries are my favorite around too. The burgers are only 4 stars in my opinion but the service and fries pull the overall up to 5. Wish they were in a better location. I think they would be really popular if they were by the Walmart and target off of north garland. I really hope that they can survive in this spot because the Quiznos that was there before them went out of business. Check them out!

Hello Unilocalers! I went to this place to get breakfast for my comrades at work. I called in the order of a large amount of breakfast tacos and hashbrowns. When I got there he was already done with my order even though I was a few minutes early. I was impressed since he was there by himself or so it seemed. There might have been some cooks in the back. Okay here is the Good and The Bad: Good: Breakfast Tacos are very good. I will go back and try their burgers since I see so many good reviews on them Bad: Hashbrowns were overly greasy and falling apart in the bag. My only suggestion is please do not put overly greasy hashbrowns in the bag. That’s why I didnt give 4 stars plus I have to try out the lunch menu as well.

A new twist on burgers that works. If you go, definitely order the spicy fries. Oh, and any place that serves a hot dog wrapped in bacon with jalapenos has to be good! The biggest shocker was the little dessert cookie that came with the meal — a fortune taco! Very unique!

This place rocks! Best way for me to describe it is a Mexican Whataburger, but better. The food was great and the staff was friendly. This will definitely be one of my regular lunch spots from now on.

I was psyched to see a new restaurant going in at the shopping center where I work. I was even more psyched to see who was behind it. For those of you who don;t know it’s the latest venture for Jeff Sinelli, founder of Genghis Grill, and Which Wich. As one can tell by the name, this is a burger joint, specifically«mexican style» burgers. It’s a burger with meat, cheese, a tostada shell, refried beans, a ham slice, and avocado. there’s the original, La Monumental which is double meat and double cheese, and the junior which is single meat/cheese. Unless you have a massive appetite I would go with the Jr. Sure all that stuff on a burger may sound funky, but it’s really good. The special sauce it killer on fires. I’ve also had the Hot dog here and it’s epic, bacon wrapped with jalapenos and onions. gave me a bit of heartburn, but it was worth it. The spicy fries are awesome too. I’m also digging that they offer a variety of HFCS free soft drinks. I’ve yet to try the onions rings, shakes, or chicken sandwich, but everything I’ve had so far has been good. the menu could use some more variety, as it is currently pretty limited.

New Place! Unique to say the least. A great spin on the classic– a burger. I really enjoyed the mix of ingredients, the tostada on board was a nice touch. All in all it wasa good meal. The service was fast, very friendly and very inexpensive for what you get. A double burger(loaded) with fries and soda– $ 8.50 The Chirro is stuffed with an apple/caramel type stuff– man was it good! Getchu some!
