I used to shop there all the time. Not any more. I bought a jar of pickles there and when I got home I realized they were expiring next day. Food in the jars should be good for 1 year or so. I bought a jar of plums not even a year ago and today I checked and they were already expired for 1 year. People told me they sell all food but I didn’t believe it until I started checking the dates. Be careful.

Biedronka,(Ladybug in Polish) is a Aldi-like chain of grocery stores from Poland. I make my monthly pilgrimage to buy groceries here, since I live in an area of New Jersey with absolutely zero Polish presence. I’m so happy they opened one up in this area! One of the great Polish mysteries to me is how they make any money, as prices are rock bottom and worth it! Cashier here is a nice girl who speaks Polish and English, the store is always clean and well stocked. It’s great to have a little bit of Polska back in the states. I would definitely recommend Biedronka to Americans looking to try something new. A lot of the products have English translations as they are imported. Poles are a tea drinking people, and there is an entire aisle dedicated to different flavors and brands you just cant find in the US. The sparkling water is amazing(gazowana: gaz-o-vana) and there are lots of healthy drinks that are berry based. Try some Black Currant Juice(czarna porzeczka: charna-porz-ech-ka) or Polish chocolates like Michałki(me-how-ki). Hope my review was useful! Dziękuje wszystkim!
