DONTEATHERE! The owners are cheap! They don’t wash the tomatoes or the lettuce. I had to make a lettuce wrap for a lady and I could see dead bugs on it. A brick of cheese fell on the floor once and rolled and the owners said just rinse it off with water. After that she sliced it for a customers sandwich. Those were only a couple of instances out of many more! I feel so bad for all the customers! I worked here for a few months and I quit because I couldn’t believe what they were feeding people! I felt like I had to warn you! :(

Port of Subs is my favorite sandwich shop! I only come to Minden/Gardnerville a few times a year and I always stop for sandwiches! The owners/workers are so friendly and helpful. I always look forward to my sandwich and seeing the people who work there!

For sub sandwiches… this really is as good as it gets. Compared to other sandwich chains, it’s really hard to compare, in a different class all together. The bread, the meat, the cheese, it all just seems of much higher quality here that other places you may go to. Their breakfast grillers are tasty and a super good value. During the fall the offer the«Pilgrim Griller»(no, they do not grill pilgrims). You have got to try this sandwich. It will make you very happy.

The only 2 times I have been here the bread was molded. They were very nice though and offered what they could, another sandwich. I wasn’t really in the mood for one!

I was surprised at how delicious my sandwich was from Port of Subs. I was expecting a Subway-like deal but it was absolutely scrumptious. Now — it was consumed on a very empty stomach during a road trip down 395 so that may explain why it tasted so good but I think the fact that they cut their meats and cheeses fresh plays a big part in the taste. I had the vegetarian which comes with 3 different types of cheese — big slices, freshly cut. Also vegetables(shredded lettuce is ugh… they could offer spinach or romaine perhaps?) and smashed up avocado are included on this particular sandwich. I ordered the medium which came out to around $ 6. A little pricey but worth it because it was very good. I’ll be back next time I’m road tripping on 395.

The family that runs this place is so sweet, it almost makes the food taste better. The staff is always smiling and cheerful, and the restaurant is always perfectly clean and orderly. Sandwiches are average, but service is fast.

My memories of Port of Subs a decade ago are of overflowing sandwiches that always left lettuce and toppings in the butcher paper. Now the sub has military efficiency with meat, cheese, and toppings. I gobbled an 8″ and was left hungry for more. Ingredients are fresh and tasty but it feels like this regional chain is starting to skimp.

Stopped by on our way home from mammoth. Not bad for little sub place for a small town.

Ok, we have been here numerous times, but the last two times we ate here I did not feel well later. The common factor was I ate the Turkey sandwich(both last visits), my family members had something different. I was the only one that did not feel well later. The last visit I became violently ill and suspect bad food product or food poisoning. We wont go here again and be sure to stay away from the turkey!

This place seems to be set up like Subway, and it’s interesting to note they share parking with two other sandwich shops across the way. We stopped in here twice during our hockey camp weekend. Seems to be healthier than other choices in the area, and service is great.

The best sandwiches in the world!!! A little pricey, but I don’t even care, because it’s so bomb. Go here, eat good sandwiches, and then go back the next day. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmm. Oh, and the service is cool too. Nothing special, but you can assume that with fast food.
