Elite Event: AT&T’s New Store!

Seriously, do Unilocal events get better than this?! I doubt it. Superb snack food (the smoked salmon rocked my world twice over!), the best local beer (GPBC, duh!) and a cutting edge location filled with fun toys for the tech-​savvy (or wannabes i.e. me) made this event a true stand-​out. All of the AT&T staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and taken care of. The new store is gorgeous and totally unexpected… who knew a cell phone store could be so stylish?! The giveaways were a fun bonus and were incredibly generous. Will was, per usual, the consummate professional community lead and it was clear from the execution of this event that no small detail had been overlooked. Bravo to the the AT&T team, Green Central Station, Good People Brewing Company, my fellow Unilocalers and Will for a fabulous evening.

This was by far the best cell phone store I’ve been to. The way the AT&T staff makes you feel at ease with all the amazing technology offered rather than trying to aggressively sell you something is a breathe of fresh air. The AT&T Home area was definitely my favorite with it’s home automation techniques.
Really glad AT&T opened their doors for us to show this great store off.
As always our community manager pulled off a great event and the added bonus of Green Central Station food and Good People Brews was just icing on an already great cake.

Another five star elite event put on by Will! I walked away very impressed with the new AT&T store of the future. The knowledgable staff was very helpful and attentive to answer any questions about all of their products. If for some reason they didn’t know the answer to your question they were quick to find someone who could. I also loved the layout of the store. The stations flowed nicely.
The food from Green Central was savory and delicious as usual. I loved the pimiento cheese sandwich and the brownies were out of this world. To top it off, the Pale Ale and IPA from Good People made appearances last night and did not disappoint.
The giveaways and SWAG bags were insane. My wife walked away with a brand new G3 phone! What a sweet night!

I was so happy to see a Unilocal elite event that coincided with my recent trip to Birmingham and Will was so gracious to let me crash last minute, I can’t thank him enough! This was my first «out of state» elite event and it blew me away. The staff at the AT&T store were welcoming and over the top hospitable! If my plus 1 and myself were left standing unattended for over five minutes we were immediately checked on and taken care of. I liked the fact that if one sales rep didn’t know the answer to a question, they would find someone that did!
I loved having the chance to try some local foods from I Love Picnic (previously Green Central Station). Their wrapped grape leaves and «mayonnaise-​less» chicken salad were delicious. I will definitely look for their establishment in the future. I was also a big fan of the Good People IPA, glad to know there are some great breweries being established here in AL! I’m so grateful to Will for putting this event together, to AT&T for hosting and for the amazing prizes (I LOVE my new LG G3), to Good People Brewery for the delicious beer and to I Love Picnic for the hors d’oeuvres. Can’t wait for my next trip back to Birmingham to check out this up and coming city and get to know more of the Unilocal community – and as «dorky» as it sounds I’m not opposed to name tags!

This is my first Unilocal event and I’m thoroughly impressed. The store is very cool, the staff is extraordinarily friendly, and the Unilocal crowd is ridiculously hilarious.
The store is very «futuristic,» and visually appealing. The devices are all «real» and operational: no plastic simulated screens. However, the popcorn is DEFINITELY plastic! (I found out the hard way) :)
The staff is so friendly and knowledgable. I am greeted with handshakes and introductions (not to mention smiles). They show me some pretty cool devices… Did anybody see the watch that is a phone?
The Unilocal crowd is a thoroughly hilarious group. I feel thoroughly welcomed by the community. I even got invited out afterwards by #asianbama and his posse to el barrio. Birmingham may have a short list of elites, but they are definitely not short on character.
Oh yeah! That’s how Elites do it– way to represent! I am grateful to everyone that has contributed to this event. I can’t wait till AT&T opens up another location!!!

Unquestionably 5 stars! I’m normally not one that likes to be bombarded by sales staff, but after I got in for 5 – 10 minutes, I just genuinely enjoyed talking to all of these super knowledgeable staff about all of the mind blowing array of products they will sell from their state of the art store. Unilocal leadership killed it as always, the AT&T staffers were super friendly, and I finally got to try Green Central catering which was delicious. This is definitely one of the top 3 Elite events I’ve attended. Will keeps doing an amazing job as the leader of the troops here; I couldn’t imagine another person making the Magic (City) happen!

This was such a great event! I enjoyed the welcoming AT&T staff who introduced us to the innovative new store. The staff at this location are highly informed about the various cutting edge products and services that the newly launched store will offer. The new conceived layout is truly a technological experience for any tech enthusiast. In addition, I was thrilled to find out that only 10 AT&T stores of the future have recently launched nationwide and Gardendale boasts the honor of being the only one in Alabama!
The food from Green Central Station was so delicious (I tried the Pimiento Cheese sandwich, Middle Eastern Dolmas, and Smoked Salmon appetizers) and the Good People Brewing sponsored beers (IPA & Pale Ale) were great! I enjoyed mingling with the various Unilocalers that made it to the event as well. I am a faithful AT&T customer and this is one of my absolute favorite Unilocal events to date!
Our amazing Birmingham Community Manager, Will L., AT&T, Green Central Station, and Good People did a fabulous job on organizing and carrying out this event! I’m also thankful for the Unilocal Swag Bag (it included a Unilocal Elite 2014 Beach Towel, Unilocal Sunglasses, Unilocal Playing Cards, Unilocal Rainy Day Superhero Kit, AT&T flexible drink coozie, pens, & cup) that each guest received and I’m still in shock that I won a brand spanking new G3 phone (they apparently just came out today!) in the event raffle! I will be back to this AT&T location when it opens up to the general public!
