My son recommended this place, he & his family go once a week. The service was fast & courteous. The food was excellent. I’m vegetarian the cheese enchilada, beans & rice were good. I almost filled up with the salad which was very good. My sister got the special. She’s a cook so its hard to please her, but she said it was marvelous. The bean dip & salsa was good as well!!!

Our car broke down and got towed to a shop near here. The tow truck driver recommended this place and we are glad he did! Food was delicious, servers were super friendly, portions huge and overall great value for money. Really liked that they gave complimentary chips, salsa and beans. Would definitely come back even though it is not near where we live!

Small space but dont be fooled. Food is great. I order the Nacho grande with steak and its in fact a large order. The chimichanga with pulled beef its amazing!!! But my favorite so far its the chicken soft tacos! I have order take out and they alwqys get my order right. If you visit the restaurant they serve you chips and salsa while you wait. Great service and cozy atmosphere. Its no wonder why its always busy.

Just ordered a #6 for the first time to go and it was YUMMY!!! Loved the taco, enchilada, beans & rice. Not a fan of the tamali but I’ll definitely recommend this place. Soooo good :)

La villa was once our fav place for mexican food. It has become our least fav place in town. Who uses beef and pork in chili verde with red sauce to boot? The carnitas enchiladas are horrible. Old gamey flavor and so dry inside. What happened? Who decided to cut corners and ruin a good thing? @:(

This place has hands down the BEST Mexican food! Chicken tacos are awesome & so are enchiladas! Bright on Crenshaw and just a bit North they have extra parking. Not open on Sunday’s which sux, but we always make sure we get our fix M-Sat. A definite don’t miss! Done in so you can try the bean dip that comes complimentary with the chips & Salsa as soon as you sit down.

Hole in the wall with great food. My friend and I were starving and driving around and found LA Villa about 6 years ago and we been hooked every since. To start the place is small but when we walk in we are always greeted instantly. In my opinion, you can’t consider yourself a good or great Mexican restaurant if you have bad chips and salsa. LaVilla is on point with the chips, salsa and bean dip. Salsa is the bomb. Not to watery but a great spicy kick but not to hot. One time I went and the chips were cold but I can forgive that. I’m a creature of habit so I can’t give an opinion on all of the food. I will say that I don’t care for the tacos. I tried beef and chicken and it did nothing for me. So just pass me my cheese enchilada plate. Service is cool. Parking located in the back

Every little thing went wrong with this visit. I’m not a difficult customer, in fact many times I’ll over look things because to error is human. However in this case… we’re talking catastrophe. My husband ordered a wet green burrito… he got a red one. My daughter in-law ordered cheese enchiladas(she repeated it twice)…she got beef instead. She’s eight months pregnant and had to wait longer for her food to arrive again. My carne asada was a tough cut of meat, kind of like cube steak. Carne asada is skirt steak… this was definitely not carne asada. Then to add insult to injury they bring me the wrong bill. Food is mediocre and service just plain sucks… do yourself a favor and skip this place.

I came here on a Sunday afternoon & it was pretty active. The place was nice and it look had a nice country house feel. They give you free chips with salsa and a bean dip when you get seated. The chips were freshly made and very thin and crispy! I order a coffee an it was very tasty ! The workers are very friendly as well. I ordered an enchilada and it came with bean and rice it was so delicious! I will definitely come back ! The price are reasonable. They also have a lot for you specially to park on the side of the building. Very convenient!

I ordered the enchilada plate & my girlfriend ordered the taquito plate. Very delicious. The service was prompt and the waitresses were very attentive. Food tastes authentic. I found my new favorite Mexican restaurant to have brunch again.

One great Carne Burrito at this joint. Get it wet, and you won’t regret! Place is small, but cozy. Amenities and décor is on the older side, but well maintained. This is my new go-to Mexican joint. As others said, cash only and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. All tables get a basket of chips and salsa + bean dip. Minus one star only for making me dispute the charge of my food.

La Villa used to be good, not anymore. Go at your own risk, you have officially been warned. Food: The Bean Dip is good. But, everything else taste soo bad. Service: Horrible!!! The waitresses all have an attitude and fear eye contact. It’s ridiculous. Parking: On the street or a small parking lot behind the restaurant.

Cash only! Cash only!!! Bring your paper not your plastic. We ordered take out chicken nachos, burrito wet, #3 and #6 everything was delicious. As we waited to order we sat and enjoyed chips, salsa, bean dip w/a beverage. The older woman who took our order was so patient and provided fanatical customer service we tipped her $ 5, we def plan to return and sit inside this small joint. So excited to get the food home to try everything we ordered. This was our first time here and we wanted to sample everything from the menu so we order accordingly. Total of 4 ordered for $ 45, great portions, amazing favoring and truly fresh. The rice was amazing truly different from anywhere else we’ve tried. Down side tamale is only pork!!! took one big bite it had great flavor and the corn was fresh. I could eat too much more of it. Not a fan of the PIG!

I’m not a huge fan of Mexican Food but every now and then I want it. My carne asada taco’s with beans, rice and salad was made well, I enjoyed it. I did not like my albondigas soup at all, It tasted more like vegetable soup. Which totally sucked because albondigas soup is one of my favorite soups. The place was very cute inside and the workers were all very pleasant.

I came here since my brother was craving Mexican food. First thing first, CASHONLY. I should have read the reviews before I came here since I didn’t have cash on me, but thankfully my brother did. They have an ATM machine that charges 50 cents if you take money out of it(or so they say). Parking: There are two parking lots near the restaurant that had pretty clear signs saying it was for the restaurant. There isn’t anyone manning the lot, but it was nice to have a spot to park especially since there is limited street parking. Food: First, there are complimentary chips with beans and salsa. It was actually pretty good! Then, I ordered the carnitas burrito, but they charged extra for sour cream, guacamole, rice, and beans. It was strange since I felt like most restaurants would have it included in the price for a burrito. Oh wells. Same with my brother’s carne asada burrito. My boyfriend ordered their taco, enchilada, beans, and rice dish which was pretty yummy. The flavors weren’t too salty or overbearing. Overall: Even though the food was good, it didn’t really sway me one way or another. I think I could have more authentic Mexican food elsewhere and a place that accepts credit card.

I walked in expecting this restaurant to be tiny and found that it’s about the size of my living room. On a Friday night all the tables were taken and there was a short wait until we could sit and eat some delicious food. Yum! I’d say it was worth waiting around for trying not to get in everyone’s way. Even though it’s pretty darn busy and everyone is hustling and bustling they still pause to make sure that you’re doing fine. Several people stopped by throughout our meal to check on us. A bit crazy but service is pretty good! It’s easy enough to get someone’s attention because the place is pretty small. First off by the time we sat down there was already a basket of chips, salsa, and some bean dip. The salsa is definitely homemade and so yummy! Chips are nice and crispy and the bean dip is a nice addition to the usual. Great way to start the meal and keep our appetites going! LAVILLABURRITOWITHCHORIZOANDEGGS This burrito would be great for breakfast and is chock full of chorizo and eggs! Technically this was my husband’s pick but of course that didn’t stop me from picking at it. Also kept picking at it even though I was pretty full! There wasn’t a speck of this burrito left. CHEESEENCHILADA, CRISPYCARNITASTACO, RICE, BEANS, ALBONDIGASSOUP This was the special for the night and I’m glad I ordered it. The albondigas soup was full of different veggies and had really good complex flavor. The rice and beans were just rice and beans. Nothing special about that. The crispy carnitas taco though was realllyyy delicious. The shell was a flour tortilla that they had crisped up and it was just the right amount. Not those commercial hard shell tacos types but sturdy enough to hold up all the fillings inside. Cheese enchiladas aren’t usually what I order but I quite liked this one. Like cheese? Yea lots of cheesy goodness. Cute little place to get some good food and they’ll take care of you here no matter how busy they are!
