I love the loving atmosphere they bring to the Shop especially the more you get to know these optimistic, cheerful and lovely couples. Like mentioned below it truly is the epitome of Mom/Dad or Older Brother/Sister restaurant. Anything i have asked them to make me I’ve never been disappointed. I recently fell in love with their tuna sandwich with eggs. Very seldom I write reviews especially if it’s a good review. If you are in the area, I would strongly recommend this place not just for great food but for their loving company as well!!! Tuna sandwich with eggs is a must, breakfast burrito with cilantro is bombdiggity. =)

Had hoops deli for the first time today and I loved it! Super fast and fresh and the place is clean. I got the Heaven sub and it was loaded with lots of meats, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and avocado! Will definitely be eating here for lunch more often. The lady working here is super sweet too!

The Korean BBQ sandwich was what the nice lady recommended and I’m glad she did cause it was good. This place is small and friendly. If I’m in this area again I will return to try something else.

Stopped here on a quick lunch break for a sandwich and was very pleased! I got the #14 «heaven sandwich». Good sized sandwich packed with all the goods. The fries were perfectly cooked as well.

The breakfast burrito is on point. One of the very best I’ve had. It’s got a good ratio of meat to egg to potato. It’s the only breakfast burrito that doesn’t put me down for the count. The owners are super nice as well.

This place is the epitome of mom and pop shop! The owners of this deli are so welcoming and happy that you can’t help to smile and laugh with them! Its so contagious that it makes me keep coming back for more! I’ve tried everything from sandwiches to breakfast burritos, to teriyaki! If you’re ever in the Gardena area and need a quick bite for breakfast or lunch, swing by for a great meal by the cutest couple ever!

Completely in love with their chicken salad sandwich/over a bed of lettuce! Out of all the places that offer salads, hoops deli’s ingredients are super fresh!!! You can’t even compare that with Subway… You ain’t eating fresh there! I also just tried their bulgogi sub and it’s the bombdotcom… I recommend eating it pretty fast because it can get a little soggy. But the bread is nice a toasty with the tender bulgogi and veggies… That’s big money right there! The owner and staff are always welcoming!!! Come by if you are in the area!

If you’re in the Gardena area, this place is the place to eat! If you don’t know what to eat, this place has a ton of variety! Sushi, sandwiches, and teriyaki plates. They have great customer service, a very home-like feeling. You definitely get your money’s worth here. If you’re looking for a not-too expensive meal, this is definitely a good choice.

I’ve worked near this place for almost 10 years and today I decided I didn’t feel like driving out for lunch(gas is nearly $ 5!!), so I walked here. I ordered a Pastrami Combo… What a pleasant surprise!!! DELICIOUS! Friendly staff… This place is very underrated. I will be back!!!

Their disadvantages are their advantages. They are not focused on a specific specialty, not the freshest food, not a super busy place, a bit of a secluded area though it is off a main street. They sell a variety of American and other fast foods, candy when I went, chips, etc. The burgers and fries are not overwhelming but satisfactory, friends of mine seem to like their sandwiches. It is close to the freeway, on a main street but with a lot of privacy, not much congestion, parking is a breeze. I could come here quickly, eat, take care of business and be on the freeway in no time. So, I would be back due to the fact that the disadvantages are also the advantages.

Gosh, I’m not sure why the only reviews here are so negative. Mildly humorous, as they are, sure, but not exactly accurate. In fact, pretty overblown and melodramatic when it comes right down to it. These reviews worried me, quite frankly, which I read after I’d already ordered my meal, that I was going to open my Styrofoam container and find something in there that wanted to eat me instead of me eating it. But I ended up with the tasty egg salad sandwich that I was craving that got all over everything like a good egg salad should and fresh-out-of-the-fryer onion rings that were hot and satiating. Only downer was that my sandwich was on regular sandwich bread, which was disappointing, though not a deal-breaker. It’s just that sometimes when you are looking at a lunch you could have made at home, you feel guilty for not having made it at home and saving a couple bucks. Granted, I was not bowled over by the meal’s utter awesomeness, but overall my experience was pleasant at worst. Not every meal must part the Red Sea. I mean, don’t get me wrong, it would be great if every meal parted the Red Sea – maybe the other reviewers had just had their seas parted recently and didn’t like the comedown – but sometimes simply solid does the trick. Hoops is your standard Korean-owned deli. Has that Korean-type of mothering comfort, if you let your walls down and let it in. Prices are cheap. I experienced attentive service, and noticed they had a friendly, familiar rapport with everyone that walked through the door after me, calling people by name and chatting about their personal life updates. I definitely didn’t see any hissing vampires or cold shoulders from my vantage point. As far as cleanliness goes, there are definitely some far worse pigsties in the area. I had nothing alarming or utterly unhygienic hit me in the face. More than anything, I felt it was comfortably clean. Now, are there better in the area? I’d be lying if I didn’t say I lean more toward the Tummy Stuffer(in Carson) style of sandwich making – I’m just a sucker for those cubed pickles ‘n’ tomatoes. However, for a quick lunch, and when I’m in the mood for a sandwich with fries(one area TS lacks – chips only), I wouldn’t hesitate to come back here again. Who knows? One day in the near future they may be calling me by name as well.

This place is down the street next to the Canon Corporate building. The best lunch restaurants stay busy… this place was empty at 12:45pm! This was a sign! I walked in and their interior was so cluttered that I couldn’t even see them preparing the food!!! They are very slow, unfriendly and very annoying. The cook had his collar folded up like Dracula and hissed at me. Very strange! Most items on the menu average $ 5 each. I ordered the #1(Italian Cold Sandwich). Any #1 plate must be good… right? WRONG! First bite was gross. The bread was stale and hard. The lettuce was see-through, slimy and tasted like it was refrigerated overnight. Meat was bland with little flavor. Surprisingly, I ate the sandwich and my stomach was in knots minutes after finishing. Their food is not good at all, and overpriced for trash. I will not be back to Hoops Deli when there are much better(and closer) places like Jamie’s Deli and Quiznos. In short, I guess everything on their menu must taste like Philippine Balut(incubated duck eggs boiled alive and fermented for consumption). This place seriously needs a good scrubbing and the food needs some better quality. They can start by tearing down the entire building and replacing all the staff. Average Price: $ 5.00 Flavor: 0 Awful. Eat crunchy balnut instead! Value: * Waste of $ 5, better to eat off a dump truck! Location: Doesn’t matter… Hoops Deli belongs on the 5th and 7th levels of hell…
