VONS(Online Delivery) I just ordered my first DELIVERY! I ordered Paper Towels and Jelly Beans. Only 1 of the 5 jelly Beans came and I got toilet paper instead of paper towels. HOWEVER, when I called the customer service it was amazing! They put me on a call list for the out of stock Jelly Beans and refunded me the $ 6 for the Paper Towels I didn’t recieve but were free with purchase to begin with, I told him he didn’t need to refund since I didn’t pay but he insisted. OUTSTANDING!

Coming from a long time customer I’m displeased to say that this establishment from the Albertsons merger has continually been getting worse every day. Examples: The bakery department does not check whether or not bread is moldy or expired. The deli department’s products are stale and unadulterated shit. The produce department remains stable at this point in time but many products I used to get are never«in stock» The staff is nice but never out much. The meat department is a hazard. I’ve seen relabeled items with expirations that are months ahead when the product looks sickly. And lastly the checkout is a bunch of knuckleheads who look miserable and treat me with no respect or conversation. I know its an awful paying job but don’t show negativity to the customers who provide you with it. A real shame. I’ll never shop here again.

Unilocal Challenge 2015. 337⁄365 Super super duper 1 stop destination on Valley View and Chapman in GG for your shopping needs. Complete with a Starbucks, florist, hot deli, tastey bakery, soup bar and a Panda Express. Every now and then I will actually stop at the Panda Express and bring it home. I like coming here because I find things I can’t get at other places. They carry brands that other markets dont have. Lots of tastey treats in their refrigerator section. If I had to buy store brand dairy products, Vons Lucrane brand does not disappoint. Their house milk is one of the better tasting ones. Their protein drinks are also yummy. Self check outs make it easy to get in and out in a flash. Not super convenient if you have a cart full of goods. I am a fan !! #810

Never, ever gonna step foot in this store or any Vons location again. Empty shelves no ham steak, no small milks and no reg size hash browns, that is just too much product to be out of, inexcusable!!! Prices are also higher, so I will be driving the extra few miles to Stater bros.

I only come here for their sandwiches and Homemade Chili, both are very good. I go with the Turkey Pesto sandwich on a focaccia bread, delicious. Their chili is my favorite though. It’s made fresh daily and very affordable. Only one negative about their deli and that is the service is snail pace… these kids are so slow and look like they’ve never made a sandwich in their life. They also have a Starbucks and Panda Express but don’t really dig their Chinese food. The chow mein is always dry and portions are tiny compared to other Chinese fast food places.

The staff really make the experience. This location is not exactly in the best area and the customers here can be quite a handful but the staff usually come through. Its well stocked and kept very clean.

This review is for the Deli section. On several occasions a young man wearing glasses has screwed up our order. He doesn’t look foreign, but can’t seem to understand the English language or just doesn’t care. Today I asked for five pieces of sliced turkey. He gave me three. I asked for two entrees and one side. He gave me two sides, and one entrée. Like I mentioned in my opening, this is like the 5th time he’s massacred our order. If Vons doesn’t correct this employee, I’ll stop shopping the Deli.

I use to love this place, it is convenient because I live down the street but the staff is horrible. Not to mention there’s this one weirdo that works there who is a pervert. He always stares at me and it makes me feel uncomfortable, he keeps insisting to help me to my car and one day I walked by him and he whispered into my ear«i like your dress» he’s a WEIRDO and I kinda don’t want to come back anymore. Sorry but ew.

We bought FOUR2% milks from them and every single one of them spoiled days before the expiration date. Their beef also expired before the expiration date.

Von’s is the best supermarket in OC. They have items that others do not. The produce is the best. Prices are a bit high, but you get quality here. They carry certain deli items you cannot get at Ralph’s and Stater’s, which are lower end markets. The only drawback is that sometimes the cashiers ask the customer to donate $ 1 to some charity or another, right in front of everybody. I wish they would stop that. Anyways, I go here for quality produce. Good soup too. Plus, there’s a Starbucks right inside the store ! There is seating inside the supermarket and tables and benches outside the store as well. This is a great supermarket.

You need to check every single expiration date. The stuff I bought tonight is moldy and when I looked at the date, it expired 2 months ago.

Well, I initially stopped here for starbucks, end ended up circling back to buy stamps(I almost forgot). The starbucks baristas did a great job with my order… venti iced tiramisu latte with only 2 pumps tiramisu, an extra shot of espresso, soy milk, no whip. I saw that starting tomorrow ½ priced frapps… might have to take advantage of that. :) Used my starbucks app to pay and get«stars»(points) with ease. As for the stamp purchase… the manager was walking passed the counter as I walked up. He turned around right away to service the customer(and I appreciated it). Process was quick and easy at the customer service counter. This is my neighborhood grocery store. Just wish they had better pricing in general on groceries, but I do come here for random needs. It is always very clean and presentable inside the store and the clerks are friendly.

This review is for the deli– ready meals. I am standing here as Maureen is making my sandwich and she is providing one of the worst service, I asked her if I could also get a piece of chicken and she says«wait! Let me finish making your sandwich and I’ll get it OK?». She was so happy to talk to her coworkers but wasn’t happy to provide me service. Seriously, it’s early in the morning… just be nice. I just asked for no cheese and she threw it out. Haha omg… should start reviewing as I’m going along. now I’m just irritated.

Go to the Ralphs on ball road. It has shorter lines, electronic checkout, and better service.

I have only been in this Vons a handful of times & every time I walk out annoyed. Customer service is lacking really bad. Don’t ask someone for help, you won’t get it. & when you’re in line having a conversation with another customer, don’t be surprised when the cashier snaps back her comments about it. & remember to check dates on items! Every time I go there, I find things past their«use by» dates. Ralph’s is only a little further of a drive & you can have confidence knowing you’re picking up good stuff & have someone to always help you.

This review is mostly for the Panda Express located inside. The lady working at the time was named Silvia. She walked up, offered us a sample and we declined. I’ve had Panda Express plenty of other times and have never had a problem with the orange chicken. That was, until today! I ordered 1 side, chow mein and orange chicken along with a pink lemonade. I moved over to the little seating area they have, opened up and started eating. The orange chicken LITERALLY took my breath away. It was drenched in vinegar. I returned the food and asked for a refund and Silvia replies with, «That is why we offer samples.» WHY? Because your cook doesn’t know how to follow a chain restaurant recipe? I’ve had Panda’s orange chicken before and have never had a problem. I’m not going to automatically assume you can’t cook. I should have walked away like I had planned to in the first place because NONE of the food looked appetizing in the least bit. It all looked gross and like it has been sitting in the pans for a couple days. Getting the pink lemonade was my fault. They didn’t have water or unsweetened tea and I haven’t had any sort of soda in years so the sugar rush was intense with that. As for the Vons store itself, its clean, the meat area has a strong fish smell, and the milk is VERY expensive(would have cost almost $ 8 for 2 gallons) so I passed on the milk and went to Costco instead for it.

I’d give this Vons 4 stars if it wasn’t for the deli. It royally sucks. Their olive bar is always picked over with just scraps left. Their cold deli food looks so old there’s congealed skin layers over the stuff. The hot deli food is always out of stock, always picked over. Doesn’t matter what time of day they don’t have shyte. The deli meats are disgusting. It’s some brand I never heard of and it REEKS. I bought a few deli meats and was getting sick from the stench filling up my car on the ride home. They have it presliced and sitting there in piles for who knows how long. I still went ahead and made a sandwich out of it and got very sick. I would have been better off with a pouch of buddig. Besides the deli this store is decent. Clean, nice lighting, decent selection. Butcher and Baker has some good stuff at a decent price. Produce is usually fresh looking. Prices though are really high, much higher than Ralph’s and Albertsons. They carry my favorite pasta sauce, «Dave’s Gourmet Heirloom Tomato» so that’s a plus. I shop here due to convenience when I don’t feel like driving too far. My store of choice is Ralph’s in Seal Beach. It has a similar atmosphere but they carry Boar’s Head deli meat and have a fully stocked hot & cold food section. Prices are much better too. It’s only a freeway off ramp away but with construction going on the drive can suck so I’ve been shopping at Vons more. Now… this place does have a huge bonus. Panda Express! That’s right, a full on Panda Express right inside the store. Hell yeah! I know there’s a lot of Panda haters out there but I love the place when I’m craving greasy heat lamp American themed Chinese food. There’s also a tiny Starbucks inside.
