Valley View Gardens

My Mom has been a resident for over 2 years now. Moving her to a facility was the toughest thing my family has ever done. If it weren’t for the staff and the excellent care she receives, I don’t know what we would have done. Every caregiver, administrator there has a heart of gold. They understand this disease and take inappropriate comments in stride. My Mom was a sweet woman, this disease has not brought out the best in her. Sorry, VV staff. They care for their residents but also the families. They helped me work through my guilt. I now know she is exactly where she should be.
If you are thinking smelly nursing home, you will be pleasantly surprised. Every resident is up and dressed, unless ill, every morning. The food is great, the place is clean. All their needs are met, laundry, assistance as needed, etc. There is even a hair salon. The activities are almost constant. Betsy and Belen are wonderful! My Mom loves to be outside. The yard is secure but spacious, giving her a feeling of some independence. I highly recommend Valley View Gardens for your loved one.

3.5; Its been a little over a year since my Dad has passed. The facility did not return our calls after his death and it left a sour taste in my mouth. I still view the direct staff with the residents as very friendly and patient. This is a good place if your loved one is either completely able bodied or completely wheelchair bound. Anything in between and you really should have more one on one care.

Friendly and caring staff both in the front office and in the facility itself. Beautiful and clean complex inside and out. The rooms always smell fresh (which is hard to do with 60+ Alytimer patients). My mother has been a resident for over 18 months and has become very comfortable here at Valley View Gardens. Even though Jim (the site director) is a NY Yankee fan; he is a easy to talk with unlike other facility driectors I have delt with.
Kidos to the whole staff from the front office, the kitchen, the med staff, the care givers to the maintance and grounds keepers.
