Parents new place to get baguettes for $ 1 each! Located in the same plaza as the Dalat supermarket. Parking is horrible here, but people come and go. There’s always a whole bunch of older Vietnamese guys out in the patio smoking and playing Chinese chess too. They serve actual food too like bo kho(beef stew) and stuff like that. What we got: Iced Milk Coffee($ 2.50): I’m not a fan of Vietnamese iced coffee, but BF drank it super quick… you’re suppose to wait for the ice to melt so it’s not as strong tasting. Milk Tea($ 2.50): too much ice in my opinion. Bigger cup than usual though, but it was on the sweeter side. Bo Bia Spring Rolls: comes with 2 rolls and a hoisin/peanut dipping sauce. Rolls ripped too easily and was on the thinner side. Service: Pretty quick since you just pick up what you want and pay for it at the cashier.

If you’re looking for a quick breakfast or recharge before work, this is your go-to place. Large selections of hot, savory baked goods such as egg rolls, buns, and hot baguette sandwiches to go. I also like their croissants, especially the ham and cheese. When the afternoon rolls by, the bakery case is full of different desserts from eclairs to fruity tarts. Items range from $ 0.50 to $ 4.00 for sandwiches.

I ordered the filet mignon with a side of spaghetti. The garlic butter on top of the meat was DELICIOUS and made the steak less dry. The spaghetti sauce tasted like it came from a can, so I’ll get the French fries with it next time. Boiled broccoli and carrots were meh but it was part of the dish. The bread they bring out was warm and perfectly crispy though! I would eat my filet mignon with the bread and sprinkle soy sauce on that.

A couple days ago, I had ordered a birthday cake here because it’s right by my house. I called in a day ahead and scheduled for pick-up at 10AM. I did not receive my cake until nearly 11AM because«the baker was out of town and they had to ask someone else.» Well, if I called in ahead of time, shouldn’t you have gotten that figured out beforehand? They offered me $ 2 off but really, I wouldn’t mind paying an extra $ 2 to get my order on time. In addition to this, I had asked the lady how much an item was and she had no clue. Clearly they don’t train their employees correctly. Overall unhappy with this place and would never come back again.

Small little viet sandwich/coffee shop on Garden Grove Blvd. You can hear loud Vietnamese music playing in the mornings, during which there’re a bunch of older folks hanging around playing some board game, reading the paper, or chit-chatting. Good food for a good price. They toast the bun for the sandwiches after you order, so you’re guaranteed to get fresh crispy bread when it’s made. Parking in the plaza. I still prefer Banh Mi Che Cali though.

You pay 6 bucks for beef stew and all i got is 2 pcs of meat and 4 carrots/2 potatoes. Really? Freaking rip off! Ain’t worth it for this crap and i was in a hurry for work so got no time for other places which is not much option around this area

Be ware of the food/drink you order!!! Just ordered Rau Ma(pennyworth leaves) drink, and it was spoiled… had sour taste! I told the cashier, and she didn’t even apologize for selling bad/spoiled. She just repeated the word I said, ‘sour’, and refunded my money. It’s disgusting that they would sell drinks(and maybe even food) that’s gone bad! And their kitchen looks dirty! And not to mention bad customer service! I’ve been a loyal customer but definitely won’t see me there again!

I only came here for the authentic Vietnamese iced coffee because my Mom told me it was amazing… Sorry, Mom. But you were wrong about this one! It was only okay. I can’t say anything about time food cause I didn’t order anything! side note: one of my favorite authentic Vietnamese iced coffee is from Banh Mi Che Cali! Have a good day! Xo, Brenda

The bread, make sure its the fresh baked out of the oven bread that you get. Whether it’s the entire baguette or the individual loafs(3 for $ 1) its their bread that you want to get. I’m not a fan of their Banh Mi sandwiches, although they have stellar bread the fillings aren’t up to par to make it complete. I would avoid their Banh Mi’s here as there are better options in Little Saigon. However I would steer you to their fresh baked bread. It’s cheap and fresh, but your own bread take it home and you will be a happy camper. They do serve other dishes, such as Chao(porridge) but again this spot would be your go to just get bread and Vietnamese coffee. Be ware of the congregating old men on the patio. They are harmless, but their second hand smoke and loud talking could annoy some customers.

I come here all the time before class and they are super nice. Always busy and I think they are 300x better than Lee’s. They usually have more meat than Lee’s too. I got the bo kho which is tasty but not nearly as good as moms. I normally get the Banh Mi Dac Biet(Special combo) which is yummy. I would check it out. I don’t know but it has a home like feel for me.

I like this lil hole in the wall. It’s ok for a quick bite on the go. Hot baguettes, bahn mi sandwiches, and crunchy egg rolls(10 for $ 5 is how I roll). They have a little patio which you’ll always fine people hang out chatting or playing board games. But, I would just grab some egg rolls and be on my way.

Their café sa đá is just terrible. The instant café bag I buy(G7 or Vinacafe) is better than this place. Bánh mì is ok. I came here sometimes just because its on my way to work

This shop is on my way to work but I never come here. Service is always slow and I end up wasting my time in the morning. Their banh mi and coffee are average. I love their Bo kho. Cheap and flavorful. The croissant is whatever. Don’t even bother.

I’ve been to Song Long a few times before and it’s your usual Asian sandwich shop. Today, we came here today and bought 2 sandwiches, soy, and a bagged of baked goods. The lady gave us the wrong sandwich order and we ordered 2 #11 not #1. She was arguing with us for a bit and took it back. After we got it back, she only switched 1 out. We had to go back to her and then tell her. Again, she was arguing with us and not wanting to give us our correct. We’re paying customers and you’re arguing with us about what we ordered. She was so rude. We get home and open up the bag of baked goods we bought. We discovered mold on it! So gross! Please reference the picture. We didn’t want to go back to return it because we didn’t want to deal with the rude lady, so we’ll just lose out on our money. We will not be coming back here.

I’ve only tried their coffee and sesame balls… so I can’t give them higher than a 3. The sesame balls were the best I’ve ever had though– way better than Lee’s Sandwiches because Lee’s sesame balls are cold on the inside! Anyways, great coffee iced coffee too.

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. Lisa J is one of my favorite girls. What a fun time to have breakfast with my Lisa J. Ordered grilled pork banh mi and ca phe sua da. Hot and fresh from the oven, the bread is soft and the crust is crispy. Tasty and delicious. The pork is perfectly seasoned and grilled. This place beats Mr Baguette and Lee’s Sandwich anyday. Ca phe sua da: it is pretty strong and not too sweet. Free wifi and friendly worker. The plaza itself is pretty busy with cars going in and out non-stop. So Long Starbucks… Song Long my love… 4 stars! I would probably give this place 5 stars if the meat quality was better. Song Long is yummylicious!

I pass by this place all the time and there is typically a bunch of old Vietnamese guys sitting in front smoking and having coffee. Although I can’t hear(and to a degree understand) their conversation I’m sure they are reciting the same old stories about their glory years. If you’re Vietnamese, listening to old disgruntled Vietnmaese geezers talk is one of the most obnoxious things there is. They are worse then women when it comes to bitching and complaining about«the man» and how shitty the world is. Hey buddy, maybe it would be a better place if I didn’t have to inhale your second hand smoke and you weren’t wasting your time in front of a bakery, hummm? Bastards. But maybe one day I’ll be like one of those old guys staring at younger girls coming in an out to purchase items. I just know that with my current demeanor I’ll be doomed to resort to sitting in front of a bakery with an unlit cigarette in my hand and trying to look cool. Or maybe I’ll just have my camera and take pictures of girls without their permission. How honorable and classy. So the star of the show here is the croissant, crusty on the outside yet soft and moist in the inside. The Vietnamese sandwich I got sandwich is lackluster and the coffee can use some work. But the croissant is something that really stands out. It’s like going to a shoe store(Payless) and finding a pair that doesn’t look like crap and will fall apart after a month of us. Hey man, don’t bag on Payless. I used to get shoes there all the time when I was a kid. My mom wouldn’t buy me shoes over $ 30… for good reason. My feet would grow so fast that I wouldn’t be able to wear them within a year. I can remember my first $ 60+ pair of shoes. Life was good. Now I buy douche bag boot-like shoes from Robert Wayne and Mark Nason. It’s classic over compensation for less-than-fabulous shoes while growing up. Song Long’s Score — 88 Points

I drove by Song Long, Euclid this morning just to confirm what happened to the Bolsa Location. They confirmed it was closed. I will miss Song Long Bolsa. So Long Song Long! I only ordered the Café Sua Da at this locations. It was ok. For some reason it did not taste like I remember the Bolsa location tasted, but it was good. The cost was a straight 2 bucks. The staff was very nice and we had a conversation for at least 15 minutes about the old place. The inside could use a little updating. Also it would be great if they added an outside table or two so you can take 15 minutes to enjoy your coffee or a pastry. This location is very close off of the 22. I will keep it on my list for Café Sua Da spots, but do miss the other location dearly.
