Disclaimer: I give their«ice cream» 2-stars. I haven’t tried their other items, so this rating does not apply to their boba, crepes, etc. Food: I got their yogurt and strawberry«ice-cream». It had a weird consistency to it. It had a gritty, powdery texture to it. It lacked the creaminess associated with ice cream or gelato. I split this with my sister, and we couldn’t finish the ice cream. Price: Pretty expensive for«ice-cream». 1 large scoop(~1/3 cup) = $ 4. 1 small scoop(~1 tablespoon) = $ 1. I got 1 large scoop of yogurt flavor and 1 small scoop of strawberry. Environment: Major kudos to their French-themed decoration. It’s cute, cozy, and has nice ambient music. Good place to study or chat over boba/coffee. Bottom line: I might give their other items another try, but I definitely will not buy their ice cream again. Their staff were friendly and I like the atmosphere.

I really like the Belage Gourmet on Westminster a lot. Its located in the same complex as Tastea and Phở Lu. Even though there are horrible drivers and parking really sucks here, I still come through because I am hooked on their lemon ice tea and the décor is absolutely beautiful. So I had it bookmarked for quite a while now but never got the chance to give it a try. On the first night I tried it I was waiting to meet up with my friend for phở. While waiting for her I spotted the Belage Gourmet sign and decided to step in. I was marveled by the amazing décor and how clean the place was. There’s a few seats available and a couch area too. I ordered the lemon ice tea, sat down and within a few minutes someone actually brought my drink to me. Now thats some great customer service. The lemon ice tea upon first sip was truly amazing. I really like it a lot. I love the flavor and the texture is very tasty. I think I might have found my new go to spot for a delicious drink before I hit the lab. Overall great place to grab ice tea and to hang out. It seems like a great spot to chat and meet up with people or just relax. I am sold on this place. Too bad its located in a bad complex but you can’t even tell when you enter because its so nice inside. PS Lemon Ice Tea!

Nothing special about this place really. Could get better pastries and dessert at other locations. Price isn’t up to participate as the taste and quality of product. Disappointed.

This place is alright. They have a very limited menu. The dessert looks nice but it tastes not that great

I had the Matcha Green Tea Latte and the Green Tea Tiramisu, so I’m just going to based my review off these two menu item. I really liked the Matcha Latte. Nice strong green tea taste. Though I wish there was a little bit more for $ 4 The Green Tea Tiramisu, in my option, was super gimmicky. It didn’t really have anything that identify it as a tiramisu. The base as a super thin, somewhat dried green tea sponge cake, but the flavors weren’t really there. The cream, traditionally in tiramisu is a mascarpone-egg business, was just a standard Viet whipped cream, the stuff you get from places like Van’s Bakery and other Vietnamese bakeries. It maybe had a hint of green tea? Also not sure because I couldn’t really taste anything. It, to me, was more of a Vietnamese cake with green tea notes. Additionally, it was given to us frozen, the staff did tell us, but as a result, it thawed weirdly so most of the spongecake base was soaked in a water(ice crystals from the cream, I’m guessing, or something like that). Basically, the only tiramisu-like trait is the dusting of green tea on top, similar to the cocoa dusting on a tiramisu. Aside from my rant about the green, I appreciate the availability of the prepackaged mousse in one of the display window. I love the Truffle mousse and was a little worried as to where to acquire more(it was a gift from a family member) but now I know I could get it from here!

Stumbled upon the cutest little coffee shop! Excellent service! They also have a variety of snacks/dessert & sandwiches. I didn’t try the food but their matcha latte is pretty delicious. Definitely coming back

Always good and friendly service whenever I go here. Desserts are delicious and drinks are nice. Its very quiet every time I go. Free WiFi is a nice bonus. Décor is very pleasant as well. Nice vintage feel but up to date with the times. Potential hipster spot but currently isn’t too crowded so totally enjoying it. Would highly recommend giving this place a shot. Still trying out all the different desserts.

I tried their(insert a country’s name I forgot) yogurt… and it tasted like Vietnamese yogurt if you have ever had that, super tart. I loved the way that it tasted and definitely woke up my palette after a heavy Italian dinner right before. They have a variety of other desserts and some Parisian items as well like pâté. I like the décor of the place and it is the perfect environment to play catch up with a friend. The only cons I had on the visit was that someone from my party ordered something and both workers seemed very confused at his selection even though it was on the menu. The price point for the scoop of ice cream I thought was on the higher end so I feel inclined to get more bang for my buck elsewhere.

I have been here several times and they never disappointed me. Avocado smoothie is my recommendation if you are down for something fruity. It’s perfectly fresh and sweet. The green lady crêpe is another signature dish. Those little cute French goodies are just as good, even though some of them are too sweet(e.g. Mango mouse). The atmosphere here is another plus for me — cozy, quiet and welcome!

Even offer hot water with a piece of lemon for free when they do not have decaf coffee. Very nice customer service.

Almond cake tastes great but a bit too sweet. Very strong almond flavor though. A nice little joint that’s different from a lot of other dessert places in the area. Very peaceful vibe and cute desserts.

I’m constantly searching for new places to study. Living in the heart of garden grove. intersection of Brookhurst and Westminster. Starbucks, 7 leaves, local libraries can be very repetitive to study at. Thankfully, I found Belgae gourmet near home! Great place to study but it can get so warm in there… I left because it was getting a little too warm for me. Perhaps because it is 88 degrees outside. The sun directly hits the place and the a/c is not strong enough? I love the fall decorations, thoughtful seat cushions for the customer, how clean the place is and the service is really great. The lady offered me water while I was studying. I can tell patient satisfaction is very important to her. I respect that and definitely will come back. They have small menu of hot drinks, cold drinks, smoothies, crepes, cheesecakes, other goodies, and sandwiches(see picture). I ordered the Vietnamese milk coffee that tasted good. I do wish that they would have more selections of iced coffees. Parking– it’ll take a little while but you’ll get one. Lol Complains? 1) need A/c on a hot day! 2) need shade in order for people to sit in those nice booth seatings that they have! Highlights? SERVICE! iced Vietnamese milk coffee is good! :) Will return.

Love the setting, I mean, a lot. :) Friendly staffs and okay drinks, nothing special, but I would seriously come back again to spend my time studying here while enjoying my drink. I would recommend to my friends to get to this place. Pros: super nice place, quite. Cons: overpriced products. Note: –They have happy hour from 2pm-6pm(I believe) which is buy 2 get 1 free. –Don’t waste money on the teas, not really worth the price.

Overall: Decent but overpriced(even by my West LA standards) Food: 3 I opted to try their ice cream because it was a hot day and their pastry display looked kinda sad and lonely. I tried a couple of flavors including Bulgarian Yogurt and Black Sesame. The first tasted like a standard tart yogurt but with the creamy texture of ice cream. The second tasted exactly like black sesame, but it was a tad too sweet. In the end, I opted for a scoop of Black Sesame. It was great for a few bites, but it definitely became too sweet really fast. I might suggest that they try to balance the flavors of their ice cream like other creameries(like a drizzle of honey to balance the Black Sesame’s intenseness), especially if they’re charging even more exorbitant prices than some of the best LA creameries. My greatest problem is their sizing and prices. It’s $ 3.99 for a small(one scoop) and $ 6.99 for a large(two scoop). I would be ok with the prices if they gave the same amount but allowed more flavors(i.e. small = 2 small scoops of 2 flavors instead of 1 medium sized scoop of 1 flavor). I can’t eat enough ice cream to warrant a large, but I definitely would have been happier if I could have had 2 small scoops in my cup so I could balance out the sweet and intense Black Sesame with the tart and light Bulgarian Yogurt. p. s. In LA, good ice cream is about the same price but I get to choose 2 flavors even though it’s still probably the same amount of ice cream as their small. Really good ice cream is some additional change, but it’s made in house every day and the flavors are way more interesting. Service: 5 The guy that helped me was really nice. He explained to me that their ice cream was imported from France, and he even suggested a few flavors(his favorite was the Bulgarian Yogurt). He didn’t seem to mind when I asked for 3 different samples, and he gave me a generous amount. Ambiance: 5 It’s quiet, probably because it’s not busy at all, so it’s probably a good place to study. I like the cozy little tables that they have.

I went here for my break because my work is nearby to get some sweet. I was greeted right away by the worker and a lady seemed to be the owner, that for me is 1 star. The place was very clean(another star), although it’s a bit cold from the air conditioner. One thing I noticed about their desserts is that they only put a few on display at a time. Maybe for freshness? Either way the bigger tiramisu and the heart shaped cookies was really good(2 more stars!). The worker recommended the Bulgarian and strawberry ice cream. I decided to get Bulgarian yogurt ice cream because it reminds me of tart frozen yogurt. The nice lady gave me a waffle roll for free with my ice cream(bonus star). I should have asked for some condensed milk and almonds with it. I will come back and try more ice cream flavors as well as their crepes and drinks. P.S: there’s plenty of parking on the market side!

I don’t understand why this place got such great reviews. The drinks are really gross. I ordered the cold lavender honey tea and my friend ordered the cold herbal tea. Both tasted very very medicinal. My other friend got the cold matcha green tea smoothie and I wanted to gag when I tasted it! I told the barista that I did not like the drink and asked him to change it to the mixed berry smoothie. He made me pay for the $ 1.25 difference. Whatever. The berry smoothie was good but had huge seeds in it. Maybe blend it a bit more? The tiramisu I ordered has a frozen layer on top. When my fork cut into it, you could actually hear the crunch of the ice. It seems like their frozen fruit with ice cream is the popular choice. Honestly, not interested in coming back at all to try it.

Very nice coffee place to hang out and relax with friends. They have beautiful décor inside, making it super cozy :) In love with the honeydew drink and the green tea latte. As for cake, love the mini fruit tart! flavorful and just enough sweet. They also have the Bulgarian yogurt, so so so so good!!! The parking lot might be pack side it shares spaces with the whole shopping center. But overall, 5 stars.
