Cheap sandwichs, cheap che, cheap boba, and everything taste great and authentic. Not exactly non-vietnamese friendly.

I don’t know what happened but the quality of the food went down. I ordered a sauted beef sandwich and half the meet was hard and fatty. The dining area is dirty and the restrooms were disgusting, urine on the floors and no paper towels to dry hands. The floors were soo slippery that you really had to walk slowly and be holding your kids hands. This is a no go till they clean up this joint.

Got 3 chè, and they all are not good, the coconut topping is super salty for puddings. Khoai mì nng is a joke, it must be called«bánh đu xanh» instead. Pâté-chauds are good on the outside but the filling is urg… Bánh bèo and bánh bt lc are mediocre. This is the first time and will be the last time I come here. Sorry!

Not gonna lie, I love banh mi che cali, but this particular location is a bit on the shady side. plus, it doesn’t seem like their che selection is as extensive as other locations(unless they keep it all in the back or something). My boyfriend stopped in here one night around 10PM and it was crackin! The only reason we came to this location was because they were open late. The food is still on par with all other locations.

Eh, what do u get when you come at 8 pm … Dry old food, the sand which was hard cold and dry. Everything just needed to be tossed out !

This place is better than lee’s sandwich. The bread is a lot softer and they fill the sandwich with meat. I mean, the basics you’d expect from a sandwich place. It hits the spot. It’s super busy there and it was a little chaotic but it was worth it. Wish they’d open one in Vegas.

This restaurant does not deserve 4 stars on here! I came in today because the boiling crab had an hour and a half wait and didn’t want to wait that long, I thought phở sounded good but I was sorely mistaken! I was standing at the counter for 10 minutes before I realized that they were ignoring me, so I went up to the register and asked if I could get some one to help me cause I felt ignored. The lady looked up at and looked back down at the register without saying anything. SMH!

Very chaotic when you get in there. It is usually crowded and always a wait in line. The line moves very fast though. I like coming here because of how cheap everything is(my Italian boyfriend was blown away). You can get the deal of buy 2, get 1 free for the Vietnamese sandwich so it comes out to be about 2.10 a sandwich. How can you beat that. This equals a very cheap lunch. Their milk tea deal of buy one get one free which equals to 1.50 a drink… you can’t find that anywhere. This includes boba or pudding, which I recommend the pudding. They also have a variety things to go like those spring rolls, chow mein, those glutenous things with fish sauce =x. Their spring rolls are pretty good. I got the Nem Nuong Cuon spring rolls and it had the extra crunch in the middle like Brodards, but for half the price.

It’s New Years Day and I’m hungover. I also have a sensitive stomach, SO I love eating Vietnamese food as my cure. The food here is noticeably tastier than other Phở places around. I usually go to the Bahn Mi Che Cali in Fullerton(that I’m obsessed with) so I had to try out the OG spot. The menu selection wasn’t the exact same, but if you want just brisket in a large phở they will do it for you :) Can’t go wrong with egg rolls, but I want more lettuce to wrap with. Phở is always amazing. The parking can be hectic– it’s s hot spot for food places. Another thing that’s great is BOGO Boba!!! :)

mehh. we ordered 6 sandwiches to-go. they provided a separate bag for the veggies since we wouldn’t be eating them until later. no cucumbers in the bag for one. what kind of vietnamese sandwich doesn’t have cucumbers? small ding. the bigger one for me is that their bbq pork is not bbq’d. w.t.f. i was not impressed especially with all the good reviews. how could you be bad at your very staple? the banh mi thit nuong? won’t be back. one good thing was that it was BOGO. cash only. figures.

They have raised their B2G1 °F on sandwich from $ 3 to $ 3.25 each. Still a decent price but any higher than that might be a deal breaker!

There’s a reason you get 1 free if you buy 2 sandwiches. You get what you pay for. Not worth coming here. The quality is horrible.

Very good! Went alone and was kind of confused at how the ordering and waiting process worked but once I got my sandwich I was a happy camper. Cash only Ice coffee with condensed milk is where it’s at. Got the shredded chicken sandwich I would try a different one next time!

Whenever I’m around the area, I almost always stop by here and buy as much sandwiches as I can carry. it’s so cheap you can’t beat it. I really appreciate at how fresh their bread are too, like it’s so fresh I would not be surprised if they have the wheat grinding in the back.

Honestly… luv this place so much! If there was one in Long Beach– I’d be here all the time. GG isn’t that far, but far enough to where I can’t enjoy this as often as I’d like to. And HELLO! Buy 2, get 1 free! Yes please! Call me a gluten, but yes– I always buy 3… just for myself. The drinks are buy 1 get 1 free as well if I remember correctly. I read some reviews on the bad customer service… but cmon people! What do you really expect? Haha. They’re just little old asian ladies trying to hustle and flow. Don’t hate the playas! …I don’t know what I’m talking about anymore. Just go and eat as many sandwiches as you can. You won’t regret it.

The best part about Vietnamese restaurants is that they’re probably open during the holidays. It’s Christmas Day and my family came by to pick up some food to go so we can have on the road as we go out of town. It’s decently packed as everyone is trying to get some coffee and Vietnamese sandwiches. Cheap milk tea $ 3.it’s buy one, get one free! Decent milk tea boba to quench your cravings. Their Vietnamese baguettes are always fresh and very cheap! It’s not the best of the best, but it always hits the spot every time. Their packaged nem nuong(spring rolls) are as good as packaged spring rolls gets. It’s not as good as Brodard, but I like it because it’s light and it’s not stale. When in doubt, go here for food!

This is a pretty successful chain, so why is it they’re too cheap to turn the air con on when it’s 90 degrees outside. This place is pathetically unkept inside, and the rice in the prepackaged pork and sausage thing we got was so hard we could barely«cut» it with a spoon and the meat roll was doused in msg. There’s a place called«Snack World» in the same shopping center. There’s one middle-aged guy in there guarding a bunch of dried squid and candied ginger and no customers. Yet it’s 10x cleaner than this place and he has the air con on. Have some dignity.

I’ve been coming to Banh Mi Che Cali since I was a little kid. For the longest time, I didn’t even know what this place was called but I definitely knew all the delicious foods sold here!!! Absolutely awesome CHEAPEATS spot. This location sells sandwiches, coffee, fresh baked goods and a variety of pre-made/packaged foods all for super super cheap. My favorite items to get here are; Sandwich #2(Dac Biet), Chinese Donuts, Rice Noodle Sheets(Banh Uot) and of course the iced coffee. To quantify how cheap this place is; my boyfriend and I came here this past weekend and bought 3 sandwiches, 3 sesame balls, a chicken and rice dish, and an iced coffee for only $ 13. Not sure where else you can get all this yummy food for that price. One of my favorite places to grab food and totally worth the headache of driving in Garden Grove!

Fancy? Hell no, but good and cheap YES! Service is super fast but not actually nice, who cares? $ 3 for a huge bahn mi that is tasty and made in less than a few minutes? Yes please! $ 1 for a baguette to go, 60 cent egg rolls, all good and a few of each please. Perfect if you are on a budget or just hungry and want something quick, I’ll be back!

This is my first Banh Mi Che Cali location I went to since I was a kid. This place is more of a pick up and to go place. The foods and drinks here are very good and well made. They have many variety of foods here as well. They have many different kinds of sandwiches, ice coffee, milk teas, and deserts. They may seem to have a long line to order but it’s worth it.
