This place is really cute and clean. The food was very good ! Our waitress was also very good she kept coming by and checking on us. And the lunch special menus are a very good price. I will definitely come back !

Highly recommend Kinha. Great place and fast service! If you go during there lunch hour you will find greats deals for excellent prices. Ex. 3 hand rolls for 10 $! And they have some really tasty rolls. Thank me later.

I would not go back to this place. The place was almost empty and they sat us right next to the cashier. The waitress took our drink order, came back to ask me what wine I wanted again, and then ended up giving me the wrong wine anyway. The rolls were okay. The yellowtail sushi was inedible and tough. The chicken teriyaki was mediocre and some pieces were tough and couldn’t be eaten. Then the waitress came and took our food and another gave the check to us two seconds later. We paid and they took the check right away to look at how much we tipped. The waitresses were completely lifeless and no one smiled. Horrible atmosphere to create.

Yeah this is one of the best sushi places I have come to. Never ever does this place get old or disappoints. Sushi is always fresh and the restaurant itself is nice. The services is wonderful. I love their spicy shrimp roll. For an app I got the buffalo chicken because I heard it was outstanding and it was. I usually come here once a week with my girls and we love it. Well worth a try if you are in the area.

Do NOT go here if you have celiac or are gluten intolerant! Came for lunch. Asked the waitress if the pad thai and mushroom soup had soy sauce as it has gluten and I am allergic. She went into the kitchen to find out. She came back and said so not eat the soup but the pad Thai is okay. She told me there was special gluten free soy sauce. She came out with a salmon avocado roll and what I believed to be gluten free soy sauce. After I was finished, she came to collect the dish and said oh you can’t have this sauce its regular soy. She placed the sauce on the table in front of me after our conversation and after I asked her if I could have gluten free soy! Needless to say I will absolutely never go back to a restaurant that is so careless.

Food is very good but service was disappointing. Waiter was terrible and we had a problem with our meal. We were charged for the meal that was taken off the table because there was a problem with it but didn’t feel like arguing; we just wanted to leave. We won’t be coming back.

FYI, when someone orders online and you refuse to honor your online pricing, hanging up on the customer is not considered good customer service. Apparently, there is a mystery«new menu» floating around. Good luck with that! Oh, and thanks for making me contact EAT24 to cancel my order. Honestly, I really had nothing better to do…

My wife and I decided to try this place out for dinner Thursday evening. When we arrived we were promptly seated in the dining room. After being seated we waited approx. 10 – 12 minutes before our waitress arrived. She asked if we would like drinks. I said, yes, we would like water and a large house hot sake. She said, ok, one water and one large hot sake. I said, no, two waters and two cups for the sake. I had to specify everything to this waitress. About 5 min later we received the waters. 15 minutes go by and no waitress and no sake. When she FINALLY came by our table she realized she forgot the sake so she said, ohhh, sake! She disapperaed for another 5 min. When we saw her again she was taking other peoples orders. Still no sake. Unreal. I then had to flag her down. I said, what is the deal with the sake? She unapplogetically said, I will get it. When she FINALLY brought the sake she spilled sake all over our table. She laughed. She never cleaned up the spill and she never apologized. The service remained at this level throughout the remainder of the meal. As for the food, the vegetabke gyoza was oily and tasted like dirty grease. The sushi was decent. The tom yum soup was abysmal. I order Tom Yum soup all the time. This was hands down the worst ever. All onions and no spice. The waitress informed before I ordered it that it is very spicy. Lol. When made properly it is spicy but this was watered down and flavorless. No spice at all. I really just could not wait to get out of this place. Horrible service. I even contemplated leaving several times but my wife talked me down from the ledge. I would never consider visiting this place again. Peace out, Girl Scout.

Let me start by pointing out that most of the bad reviews I read for this place were people who had a Groupon. Sensing a pattern there. So, I have been here twice. The atmosphere is quiet and the décor is very modern. The staff is very attentive and professional. If you enter through the back it’s the bar area which is very elegant looking but inviting and fully stocked! We were greeted right away and sat near the sushi bar so we could see the artists at work. It’s very decently priced for the area and the quality of fish is exceptional. The white tuna is some of the best I have ever had. It really felt like it was melting in mouth. The oysters were phenomenal! I know that’s a big word but I am not exaggerating. Get those to start things off and you’ll be primed for the rest of your meal. The menu is diverse with sushi, hibachi style rice dishes, teriyaki and lots more. They have a very nice selection of wine. It’s becoming an anniversary tradition for the wife and I but I may to come back more often.

I work right across the street so I come here weekly, both sit down and take out. The prices are great you really can’t beat them. They do lunch specials .2 rolls for 6 dollars with soup and salad. The sushi is fresh, the employees are friendly. They have a great bar in the back of the restaurant with great happy hour specials. This is my go to sushi spot in garden city

One star just because I cannot give zero or negative… Almost 1,5 year after my previous bad experience(almost two hours to deliver 1 mile away), today we decided to give them another shot… And that was a HUGE mistake because it took them AGAIN like 90 minutes(for a 4 minute distance according to Google maps) to deliver our lunch. Their excuse when I called them ONEHOURAFTERORDERING was: «too many orders today». Really? And why/how is that supposed to be my problem? If they have too many orders and cannot serve me properly, they could at least be professional/honest let me know that I ll have to wait LONG or kindly refuse to take any more orders. Apparently none of those happened. On that note, we are clearly done ordering from them.

How dare they cut sushi with cucumber??? I can’t have cucumber and I had it for lunch and I’m regurgitating cucumber when all I got for myself was crunchy salmon roll and, eel avocado roll… wtf… BTW the star rating cuz I’m forced to do is at least a quarter short of what I wanted to be

If I could give this restaurant no stars I definitely would! The meal started out fine. The sushi was good, as to be expected considering how many Japanese restaurants there are in this area. The service was fine, even quick once we mentioned that we were in a rush. Then we got the check. My wife and I both got the Classic Maki Combo that was listed on the menu for $ 14. On the bill ws 2 Classic Maki Comb $ 30. Wait, isn’t $ 14 times 2 $ 28? I asked the waitress for a menu to make sure I wasn’t mistaken. Nope, $ 14 clearly on the menu. When I asked the waitress she said she has to go by what is in the computer. I then pointed out the discrepancy to the manager. He said that the price went up and they haven’t changed the menus yet. He pointed out that one of the pages is says that the prices are subject to change. It will take a lot for me to ever go back here! Shame to lose a customer over $ 2, but the money is not the issue — you print your prices, you should honor them!

Kinha is my favorite restaurant on Long Island, hands down. The rock shrimp tempura to start off is absolutely perfect. If you’re looking for a fruity drink you MUST try the«Kiss on the Lips»…

Kinha is always great. Slow service, took us about 50 minutes to get our food after ordering. Besides that the drinks and sushi rolls were amazing. Ordered the kamikaze roll and a peanut avocado roll.

The food here is really, really good! For appetizers we had the rock tempura shrimp, which was great! A lot of sushi places don’t use enough sauce, and barely cover the shrimp piece, but these were sauced and seasoned to perfection. The presentation was also beautiful. The sushi was fresh, tasty, and also presented well, although I found the rolls to be a little loose because they broke apart easily. My only complaint is that they said it would be really spicy, but they were not. What we had and in order of how good it was: Monkey jump roll Volcano roll Out of control roll Jalapeño yummy roll My main complaints for this restaurant is the service. It was a very large restaurant, with a bar on one end, and a narrow hallway that extends into a bigger eating area. We were seated in the bigger eating area, and were the only patrons there as the rest were at the bar. I guess the server couldn’t see us, and we had to wait for a very long time for her to come collect the check. A couple also came in, and because there weren’t any hostesses, walked out. If they worked on service(she was a liiiittle rude) and wait times, this would definitely be my favorite place!

I come here almost every Friday night. It is my absolute favorite sushi restaurant. The staff is very friendly even though service can be a little slow sometimes, they make up for it with their personality. The sushi is always fresh and delicious and they have an extensive menu of appetizers and rolls. I highly recommend kinha to everyone!
