The Villas at the San Luis Resort and Spa

I’m such a hard person to surprise! Therefore, my sweet husband waited until after our anniversary to make it very special.
He called the San Luis Resort and Conference Center’s front desk seeking assistance in surprising me with a very special 28^th anniversary experience.
The very first thing suggested was a stay at The Villas. It wasn’t just a suggestion … it was a complete and VERY PROUD rundown of the amenities with the assurance that he would not regret one moment. That was an understatement, trust me.
We were treated like royalty upon arrival, being met by sweet Jennifer holding two glasses of champagne for us, then taking us by golf cart to our luxurious villa. What a surprise!
I could write several paragraphs about how wonderful (surely there’s a better word) our stay was but, we all tend to speed read so … let me say this … OUR STAY WAS BEYOND ANY STAY WE HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!
The amenities, the service, the pool, the cabana, the food, the private patio with a fine hot tub and all the extras in the room itself were OVER THE TOP!

We were so pleased with our stay at The Villas at San Luis Resort and Spa, we feel compelled to share our experience. Immediately upon our arrival we were provided the utmost level of service and attention. In the valet area we were instantly greeted by the valet who recognized our name and ushered us with a bellman to a golf cart. They whisked us away to the villa where we were greeted by the lovely manager/​concierge Jennifer.
She carefully oriented us with every aspect of the villa so that we were comfortable operating the technologically advanced features including large flat screen TVs in every room, Wi-​Fi, amazing smart suite Bluetooth Audio System, beautiful lighting, powered drapes, and even the shower that has more features than I could have imagined. Jennifer gave us a full tour of the villa and spectacular secluded pool area. The villa had everything you could ask for delivered in a luxuriously appointed package with a view of the gulf. From the finest construction materials and fixtures and sumptuous elegant furnishings, to the finishing touches of a chilled bottle of Veuve Clicquot and fresh fruit basket, the arrival experience left us questioning, «Where do we begin?»
We started with the champagne ;) We ordered lunch from the menu in the villa. No meat or dairy dietary restrictions tend to limit your choices, but we were pleasantly surprised with the variety, quality, presentation, taste, temperature, and prompt service of the food; absolutely top notch. The food service staff was very courteous. If I recall correctly, it was Rita who delivered our food and called later to assure that we enjoyed our meal. We journeyed out to the over-​the-​top pool and cabana area where our pool attendant, Yuri was at our beck and call. When we wanted to mingle instead of lounging in the villas’ exclusive pool area, we popped over to H2O, the main pool area and bar of the resort. After a perfect day of relaxation and conversation in the pool, we enjoyed another exquisite meal from The Steakhouse by our private spa in the villa. We had dined at The Steakhouse some time ago, and our food service in the villa was every bit as good as in the restaurant. After a long soak in the hot tub came a long night of sleep in such a comfortable bed.
Our stay at The Villas left us wanting only more time for a longer visit. If you care to experience the pinnacle of Galveston’s lodging, there is only one choice. We recommend The Villas at San Luis without hesitation to anyone seeking fine luxury accommodations on the Texas Gulf Coast.
