Seaside Village

I have lived here for approx 9 months. I have had several issues since the move-​in date. The one star is for location and floor plan (Bonaire), but that’s about it!
The day I moved in, there were several things out of place, a missing towel rod, missing toilet paper holder, a broken stove vent & light (which took approximately 6 months to fix), a large work ladder was left in the master bathroom, and a bucket of paint was left outside of my apartment for weeks, and the list goes on!
A few months in, I had a major MOUSE problem. Upon informing the office, and even sending them pictures of the mice running around my kitchen and living room, they took their sweet time to address this issue, so I invested a lot of MY money to fix the problem. I was disgusted and frustrated, and they did not care one bit, until I threatened legal action!
The manager (who was brand new at the time) became my go to person because she was the only one that made things happen in a somewhat timely manner.
Every week it’s something new! No joke. In 9 months, I’ve placed over a dozen work orders (according to their records).
I have rented in several apartments, all over Texas, and I can honestly tell you this is THE WORST place I have ever lived in. Once my lease is up, I am getting out of there FAST!

This is a great community in a good part of Galveston. I love that you can walk right across the street to the beach. I also like that restaurants, some shops, and grocery store are all an easy walk away. The complex is cared for. The staff is attentive and helpful, including the manager, Amy, and the maintenance staff, David and Joe. Great community.

Absolute slum! Delapidation everywhere. Dangerous falty wiring, severe water damage and mold. Broken stairwells, dogs swimming in pool. Partiers peeing in and around pool. ²⁴⁄₇ loud music and drunk kids. If you want a smoke free apartment, you won’t receive it here! All connecting apartments use the same air conditioning vents. So, if your next to a chain smoker, your apartment will be filled with second hand smoke. Did I mention the roach infestation?!! Management is completely useless! Maintenance workers totally overworked and underpaid!
