The Ugly Pie bakery unfortunately closed down about a month ago, so you can’t enjoy their good food anymore

The pimento cheese sandwich with bacon, toasted on a waffle iron is incredible! My wife had the chicken salad sandwich and she said it was the best she had eaten anywhere. The service was also great. We will try the bakery items on our next visit, which will be very soon.

Amazing. Everything fresh and I love how they make their own bread and dough from scratch. Salad was fresh, and the owner was extremely friendly. They care about what they give and start with the small and simple details. You can taste it in the food.

Quaint. I had the chicken salad/pimento salad plate. You can choose two scoops of either for your salad, but I asked very nicely for a scoop of each. The server obliged :) That was the best decision I made that day. It was so good. I also got some chocolate chip cookies to go. Oh. My. Yum. Eat here. Make your tummy happy. Do it.

This place is WONDERFUL! Perfect for a nice lunch date. There aren’t a ton of seats, but enough for two when we arrived at 12:45. They have different specials every day. It looks like they have a different soup, sandwich, quiche and pie everyday, along with their usual tomato basil soup. Their simple menu is perfect. I ordered the pick two: grilled pimento cheese sandwich and tomato basil soup. I am particular about my pimento cheese(mostly because I think what I make is some of the best) and theirs was perfect. The tomato basil soup was homemade and so wonderful on the rainy day that it was. I was completely satisfied. For dessert, it looked like they were out of «ugly pies»(still trying to figure out exactly what they are!) and I opted for a cinnamon role instead of the yummy looking cookies they had available. I was tempted to get a coffee to go along with it, but I resisted. The cinnamon roll could have been cooked just a bit more, and I was intrigued that it was made with wheat flour. Now I don’t usually complain about a healthier option, but if I am eating a cinnamon roll, I want it to be as bad(good?) as possible. Despite this, The Ugly Pie still deserves the coveted 5-star! Also, I have to give two thumbs up to their beautiful website. And the fact that they have different naturally flavored fruit waters everyday. Today it was orange lemon. I could go on. Already planning my next visit… For like next week? It was just that good!

The Ugly Pie bakery is a great lunch spot. Homemade sandwiches and soups that change daily. Really quiet, quant space for lunch. Save room for the fresh baked cobblers and cakes for dessert.

Friendly faces and good food with Boar’s Head meats and milled flour for breads. The pimiento cheese, cinnamon rolls, and fruit pies are my favorites. Give it a try in Gallatin up on the square(inside the Marketplace).

The hype is true. This little shop serves careful and delicious food. The menu is small but well-considered. My family of 7 drove from Nashville simply to try the fare, and we were well-pleased. Between us, we sampled almost whole lunch menu and found the(panini-style) sandwiches, drinks, pasta salad, salads, and kids meals(wafflers) were excellent. We had previously sampled the cinnamon rolls and considered them entirely worth the drive. The day’s supply was already sold out when we arrived at 1p… for a reason. This café is nestled in the back of a pleasant marketplace and has seating for about 20 happy people who are interested in casual conversation and a quiet meal together. The owner is just getting her feet under her, as this is her venture into this business, but she has a great opportunity to excel because of the sheer quality of the food. This simple and pleasant setting has all the trappings to make it a success for her… and for those who love to eat. Note the hours of operation before going, and then enjoy the experience.

Love love the cinnamon rolls!!! Made from fresh stone ground grain. Better than a Cinnabon! A must try for lunch.

Stone ground cinnamon roll– the best I’ve ever had. Chicken salad sandwich –yum! Homemade bread, organic food, local coffee. Spinach salad was also good. Definitely will be back. Great shopping connected to the restaurant.

Wonderful place. The smell that hits you the moment you get near the quaint sitting area immediately makes you want to order whatever it is you smell. The staff is super friendly, and the ambience of the place, tucked away behind a collection of fun booths and shops, makes it the kind of place you want to visit time and time again. And the food? Organic and delicious. I’m thinking about staying around and trying everything.

THE coolspot to be at in Gallatin on the square with really great organic foods. You can’t go wrong with what you pick… and they have a pick 2 option if you are on the fence! Word on the street is they are going to have a few cool loyalty cards for meals, tea & coffees and best of all… their amazing cinnamon rolls! Heavenly! And not to mention… who else has a cool kids option of sandwiches on a «waffler»!!! Defiantly a fun, chill place to go to with friends and family. Thanks for the personal touch with the great customer service Heather!
