Great thin crust pizza. Nice atmosphere and excellent service. Definitely will go back.

Super delicious! We got their house pizza and bruschetta. Word is they just got a new cook and everyone in the restaurant and walking out kept saying how good the food is! Going to come back next visit

Stopped in last weekend. Cute place with great pizza and friendly service. Not the largest restaurant but has lots of charm. We went around the corner to check out the other pizza place we looked in the window and it wasn’t as inviting at all. So we came back here and glad we did. Even though it was super busy when we arrived(October) we were quoted only 20 min wait on a Saturday night 7pm ish and we didn’t have to wait any longer than that… Wine selections were good, full bar. Thin crust pizzas were very good. Highly recommend.

The location was great the services was horrible. We were rushed and I understand they were busy but it didn’t appear that the server listened to a word I asked. The food was just ok. I don’t think we will be going back there anytime soon.

Great meal in Galena. Bruschetta was delicious, and my rosemary chicken ravioli was some of the best ravioli I’ve ever had. My husband also loved his spaghetti and meatballs. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Galena.

Pizza is just ok. We had the bbq chicken and a regular pizza. Not as good as Chicago but not many pizza places are. Delivery guy was very nice so that takes it up a star.

The pizza is great. I am not sure what happened with the wait staff. We have been eating at Cannova’s for many years… the last couple of years the wait staff(one who has been there for years) acts like you are doing them a favor by eating there. The restaurant used to be packed and the wait on the weekend was 40 – 60 minutes. Now there seems to be no wait even on Friday and Saturday nights. It is a shame that the wait staff can do this to a business. I would recommend the pizza but take out if you do not want to be treated rudly.

This is a review for their pizza. We heard really good things and ordered delivery for the Blackhawks game. First of all, it was impossible to find a menu online so we just created our own, a large mushroom and onion and a large pepperoni. Delivery only cost $ 5 and the two pizzas were like $ 40, which is cheap, but the pizza wasn’t great. I felt like it lacked tomato sauce and you could tell that they used canned mushrooms. I was really disappointed and hope that their pasta dishes are better because I will definitely not be getting pizza from here again

I love how quaint and cozy this place is. It is tucked into a little storefront on Galena’s mainstreet. Yes, parking can be a little bit difficult but there are usually spots on the back side of main street. We visited on a Monday night and had our choice of seats. We started off with a salad and bread and enjoyed both very much. We ordered a thin crust pizza for the two of us. When our server brought out our pizza we were one piece short. She apologized and explained that as she picked it up in the kitchen the spatula flipped off and took a piece of pizza with it. So they made us a small pizza to make up for it. It ended up being a ton of food! My only(minor) complaint was that my husband knocked over his glass of wine and our server was didn’t even stop by to offer us another napkin. I don’t know, maybe she didn’t see us but there were only 3 tables in the whole restaurant. Overall, the food was delicious!

Really delicious pizza! You’ll enjoy it. The restaurant is a little tight, so if you are looking for something quiet and intimate you may want to look elsewhere.

Haven’t been to cannova’s in 30 years and that was the Freeport location. We saw the restaurant right after we had already had lunch but we got a pizza anyway. It was even better than I had remembered. Everything was fantastic and our server boxed our pizza without question even though we only ate two pizzas,

Got 3 pizzas: one pepperoni, one sausage, and one Sicilian. The roni was good, the other two were mediocre. The thin crust was almost like a cracker, some people might like it but I wasn’t a fan. Not the worst pizza I’ve had but far from the best

I wanted to like it. I really really did, as everyone has been telling me that it is the best pizza in town. If that is the case I’m probably not going to be eating much pizza around here. I can’t give more a single star to any place that uses canned mushrooms on pizza. No, no, no, no no. The crust was way too dough-y, which leads to cold pizza you can’t eat because it gets soggy. Food service crust? Or just bad recipie? Either way, the crust here is an epic fail. The ambiance is nice, if a bit dim for those of us who need reading glasses. And the service quality is among the best that Galena has to offer. But alas, the quest for good pizza must continue. Canned mushrooms. No, no, no, no, no.

The worst dinner I’ve ever had! Fist it was raining outside, and when we came in ac was on so all of us were freezing. Very rude server explain us that ac is always on «during the summer». Even if it’s 55 degrees outside. When ac stopped some tables applauded. Server kept forgetting about drinks. Waited for food for a long time, just to get disappointed. Every dish on the table(pasta, 2 pizzas, and bruschetta) had canned tomatoes. Pasta dish dish looked more like soup. Water soup. Terrible! Frozen quality pizza crust! This place is not a restaurant! And the 3 plates they brought is for appetizer had food leftovers. Very sorry had pay for this dinner. Very embarrassed to invite my friends here!
